Bang Bang Tempe is a second location to it’s sister venue in San Diego. Our goal at Bang Bang is to provide an unforgettable dining experience that engages all of your senses. Our Asian fusion cuisine features a delectable range of fresh sushi and warm, flavorful dishes that will satisfy your tastebuds. To complement the culinary journey, live DJs play during dinner hours to transform the ambiance and set the perfect backdrop for a truly ecstatic experience. This was absolutely the worst sushi/food we’ve ever had. The crab ragoons have ortega taco seasoning. The digital menu is so blurry it’s hard to read, we asked for a paper menu they said she’d have to get a manager and would take at least 15 min. Then some random person shows up with a paper menu that was 10X worse than the digital menu. I asked for bottled water they said they have sparkling which was fine then turns out they were out so she brought Fiji which I don’t drink and she was horribly offended by that. Only thing that was palatable was the gyoza which probably weren’t made by them. Extremely disappointing

Food and ambiance was great but it took a long time to get the food and it all came at different times. My party eat their meals at different times that’s how long it was in between bringing the dishes to us.

Doesn’t even compare to the San Diego location. They put a lot of money in this place so they can justify their pricing on the menu..the seating in the bar area by the stage blows. The plastic drinkware is the stuff you get at a club. Cheap chairs and tables on rollers so when you sit the table moves constantly. Staff doesn’t know how to serve. I give it 2 years and it will be gone. But sushi was great 🤷🏼‍♂️

Fantastic Happy Hour before a show in Tempe. Food was great and enjoyed the theme and personality of this place.

Security was not nice at all. Horrible attitude. After leaving the restaurant and paying good money they had the audacity to tell us there's no loitering here because we were standing outside for a few minutes. Maybe we would have a better night if the security was not so rude.

Food was good, service was atrocious. Not a busy time…it was 5PM. Restaurant about 30% seated. Our server was vacant and dumb. Needed coaching on very basic tasks when she actually made it to our table. Had to get out of my chair and walk up to the bar three times for basic things such as water and bowls for our soy sauce. Even the bartenders were uninterested. Not a single adult in the room. Left feeling irritated.

Tried this place out twice thinking maybe we just had a bad experience the first time but that’s not true. First of all the food is around NOBU prices for less quality fish and other entree options then any nearby sushi restaurant (matsuri izakaya, zu Izakaya etc). The drinks are astoundingly bad, my boyfriend got the Cool as a Cucumber and both him and I thought it tasted like dish soap. And im usually not a picky cocktail drinker, if it’s got alcohol i’ll take it. but this was atrocious. I got the spicy mandarin maragarita and it wasn’t much better. Way too sweet. Let’s move on to food. Salmon sashimi was okay, the cuts were big thank god, but the quality of meat was just not there. It was on par with grocery sushi. We also both got the Tatum which was nothing special. The gyoza was good, but not worth 12$, and the spicy tuna crispy rice was one of the worst i’ve ever had (21$ btw??). Music was loud but that was to be expected. The service was awful. I had to wait 15 minutes for wasabi both times I went (it doesn’t come with the fish??) and it was awful quality wasabi. Getting anything from a waiter or waitress took 10-13 minutes at least. my drink the second time I went was completely forgotten about, where as my boyfriend got a sake bomb and we were both in awe when it turns out a 9$ sake bomb is only 9oz of beer instead of the whole bottle???? since when did they stop giving you the whole bottle of beer??? and when we tried to ask where the rest of the drink was the waiter said it’s only half a bottle. for 9$. Listen there are so many better places to spend your money, and so many places with better quality fish. I had such high expectations for a sushi place in walking distance but I honestly would never go back and hope this place closes down.
