We had a really lovely lunch, the building is stunning. Our food was delicious, the staff couldn't have been more helpful even though there were a few glum faces. Would definitely revisit and highly recommend.

Extraordinary Italian food. On a par with any restaurant I’ve eaten at in London …or Italy. Didn’t think I’d be able to get a table but fortunately wasn’t booked out on a Tuesday. If you’re in Glasgow and don’t eat here, it’s madness. Actually I would come to Glasgow just for the chef’s burrata and nduja tortelli with sage and hazelnut butter. Great service, stellar wine list, beautiful private dining rooms. I could go on but I’d rather just find any excuse to go there again.

Very tasty meal prepared in an open kitchen. We were in early at 12 noon for it opening so not many people there to add to the ambiance. Service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend.

Chaotic, food took an age. Main's were ok but sides were half cold. Waitress tried her hardest, not her fault. Music was very loud, so quite noisy with people trying to talk. Building is lovely inside, first time there. Would probably not recommend to friends or family. Again waitress was very apologetic. So overall disappointed with the evening. Other customers around about complaining and not happy either.

Absolutely diabolical. 3 plates of pasta came out at 3 different times, we all ate by ourselves. Pasta was tasteless. The whole thing was chaotic.

Amazing food, great service. We sat outside in the sun which was lovely. You do have to put up with city noises though. I am not a fan of a pre added service charge. Service tips should be customer choice. We may have given more than that added to our bill. If the service had been awful, could we have had it removed?????

Waited too long to be seated, forgot what wine we ordered, did`nt have the starter we wanted - so poor start! My wife`s Burrata and Orata were "fine" but my Polpette were tepid though the sauce was warm enough , followed by a Pork dish which was almost cremated to make the outside rim of fat crispy - accompanied by some halved oven roasted potatoes. Cooking to the lunch budget of £17.95 is very difficult - obviously - so why not charge more and do it better? Our booking was at 4.30 pm ,so between lunch and dinner service and it seemed as though some of the staff had dropped a gear or two! This wonderful restaurant setting completely lacked soul - I wish we had ordered Pizzas as the Pizza Chef was the only kitchen staff member who look to be passionate about his job! This is the worst restaurant review I`ve ever written ,particularly in the light of the amount of 5* reviews enjoyed previously, but unfortunately it reflects our particular experience. On a positive ending note - the Ciro Rosso `Segno` wine was excellent!

Absolutely amazing food and service! We had the risotto and the lasagna. I highly recommend this place for some good Italian cuisine!

I enjoyed my anniversary dinner with hubby and everywhere looks so Beautiful. I love what I ordered apart from the pasta which was a bit hard to chew but was delicious I must say. I enjoy every bit of my stay.

We went on a Sunday evening with friends. Everyone was impressed with the architecture (the building is an old bank). The food and wine were excellent, and the service was attentive. It should be noted that the restaurant was quiet when we went, and this perhaps made it easier for them to provide a high standard of service. I have seen some reviews which say that the service can be poor if the restaurant is busy…so you are perhaps best to go at a quiet time.

We have visited on a few occasions, however our most recent visit was a let down. Service was extremely slow. We sat at our table for almost two hours before any mains arrived. Orders took forever to be taken, drinks took even longer to arrive, empty plates sat on table until we had to eventually ask someone to take them away. Waiters were really not attentive as we consistently had to flag someone down for more drinks, as they didn’t approach us once. Music blared so we could barely hear each other. Food was also average for the price we paid. Unfortunately I asked the “optional” tip to be removed at our disappointment.

Beautiful restaurant, plenty of options, great food, well sized portions, very friendly, professional and accommodating waiters. Chef discussed new menu. A really lovely experience.

The service and staff was excellent and everyone was so exceptionally friendly, kind and thoughtful! The food itself was delivered to such a high standard the lead chef really has a passion for his work! I would highly recommend Banda di Roma to all!

Overall experience was amazing, every single member of staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. Can’t rate the chefs highly enough, food was outstanding. Will definitely be back

Beautiful surroundings, lively atmosphere, friendly welcoming staff and most importantly fantastic food. Giuseppe is a larger than life phenomenal Chef who is undoubtably the star of the show. My wife and I have been to Banca di Roma numerous times and have alwayds found it faultless, we would highly recommend this restaurant!

For me this is now one of the top restaurants in Glasgow. Some of the best pasta i have had in ages. Wonderful setting and great staff

What a lovely meal we had, the service was fantastic, quick and friendly. The food was beautiful and fast, and the value for money I felt was great. We had such a nice night, and the staff really were fabulous; especially the younger gentleman who served us most of the night. Would 1000% recommend for a lovely date night, celebration or family meal. The upstairs area also is so good for pre drinks before going out with its own DJ!

This is a beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere. Staff were excellent, professional and friendly and the food was delicious. They have a really good selection of wine too, arranged on the menu by region which was a nice touch.

A wonderful Italian dining experience in a beautiful building in the centre of Glasgow. The menu has a range of dishes that should allow most customers to find something they would enjoy. An extensive wine list is on offer to accommodate all budget levels. The service is excellent with friendly and knowledgeable staff who are attentive but not intrusive. Thoroughly recommended.

The food and wine were beautiful. Lovely atmosphere in restaurant and bar area. Service was really poor, waitress didn’t say 2 words to us, we were not asked how our meal was at any point or if we wanted anything else. Not very attentive or even friendly which really brought the overall standard down.

The setting inside the restaurant feels like you have been transported to Rome. The old building in royal exchange square is spacious with high vaulted ceilings and in entering we were greeted and taken straight to our table. The wine selection is vast and there is varied Italian options for the food. The beef was cooked perfect to our request and all courses were fantastic. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a lovely Italian restaurant.
