Service was a bit slow. They ran out of the game pie and we ordered at 6:45. Food was well seasoned and cooked appropriately.

The food was lovely and we had a nice table by the window. The service was relaxed which was just what we wanted. There was no rush and they were there when we wanted anything. Even when busy it’s not too noisy as the tables are well spaced out. Perfect for catching up with friends over a long lunch.

Beautiful pub. Beautiful food. Elegant with stunning surroundings. Can’t fault it! We were visiting Edinburgh for a few days and had booked in on the Wednesday evening. We loved it so much that we booked in again the following day for our last meal before going home. Would highly recommend

Lovely restaurant with a different quirky interior and good menu choices and drinks. Were lucky enough to get a window table with lovely wing back chairs and great service and ambiance. Definitely recommend.

I don’t ever feel compelled to leave a negative review. Food was good - chicken appetizer is a must! Hamburger had a funny taste to it, but Ox cheek was wonderful. The service was horrible. I NEVER have a complaint about service - have been a server and understand how hard it is. Our server was gone for 45 minutes after the meal was served. The table next to us didn’t get water for 15 minutes and talked about leaving. Made the entire meal too expensive and not enjoyable. They were not crowded- just nobody paying any attention to multiple tables.

The beef was the best I've had in a long while. Rare just as I like it. The menu said Roast potatoes are light and fluffy but I found them a bit underdone. I will definitely return though and our server Georgina was very helpful and polite.

We were served by a few people, but one waiter while serving the wine, just put the closed wine at the table and left. We needed to open it and pour ourselves. It's a bit disappointing especially when they charge you the service charge...

Badger & Co came recommended on a few ‘top dog friendly restaurants to visit in Edinburgh’ lists and didn’t disappoint! From the incredibly ‘gramable entrance, to the quirky wind in the willows theming, to the stunning smell wafting throughout this was a banger from start to finish. The staff were fantastic - the right parts friendly, knowledgeable & attentive and the food was unreal. THAT BEEF SHIN PUDDING 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for looking after us and our little sausage doglin. We will be back when we’re next in town.

Onion soup to start was warming on a wet night as well as very tasty and filling. My game pie was meaty and yummy with a light pastry topping. My wife's fish was too much for her after the soup so I had about a third of it, and can say it was moist chunky and tasty fish in a nice light bubbly batter. Chips and veg accompaniments were enough without ordering extra sides. Washed down with the pinot noir which was good for our taste. Cocktails bumped up the bill a bit, but hey ho. Ambience was busy, bit not noisy. Not a cheap meal, but very enjoyable all round.

Order the Sunday roast and a pie. Roast was fine, nice portion of beef, would have benefitted from more veg and a crunch to the roast potatoes. The pie was of the “lid” variety and sauce was quite watery and did not have a great deal of flavour. Service was very slow, from taking orders through to getting the bill.

We booked a last minute table for 3. It was the same evening as a rugby match so possibly a touch louder than usual but by no means disruptive in any way. We had a drink at the bar while we waited for our table. The bar staff were very nice and chatty. Once seated our order was taken and we sat for a wonderful meal. The food was fantastic and came in decent sized portions. Ultimately we had a wonderful time and will be back again in the future.

Beautiful place, outside and in. Service was 10/10-staff very attentive. Cocktails beautiful and priced well for being in the centre. Food seemed overpriced for what it was. We had the chicken supreme which is normally a white wine creamy sauce however this dish was served with more a red wine gravy jus, chicken and veg cooked well just not what we expected. Ambience was great. We would return for cocktails but not food.

A lovely meal for my husbands birthday before heading to the rugby. Service was slow to begin with, but it soon picked up, as did the atmosphere. Amazing food with ample choice and options for every type of foodie. Would definitely return here!

My Friend and I had such a lovely dining experience at Badger. It's not the first time I've been here and every time I come here it's always amazing. I cannot fault it in any way. Returning next month and already looking forward to it

My friend and I had lunch here on a Thursday. We both chose the cheese and bacon burger. Neither of us enjoyed the brioche bun, the burgers were like rubber and the bacon not appetising. Chips were fine and the gherkin. The staff were very attentive and very pleasant. A lunch menu with lighter options would be good. The small bite menu sounded like sides rather than small meals. Not sure if we would return for lunch.
