We came in with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. The food was OK! I would rate it a solid three! Our server was not friendly and the service overall was slow. The ambience is definitely there, but I feel like for the prices you’re paying for a pretty dining room but mediocre food.

Every single thing we ordered was superb, including the wine and cocktails. The waitstaff was top-notch and we had a lovely night.

Second time dining here and was just as impressed. Bad Roman has recieved some reviews that I def don’t agree with. The food was as amazing as the service and the ambience is beautiful.

It’s unfortunate that this beautiful space in the Time Warner is serving over priced cuisine which isn’t very good. A few of the appetizers were quite good like the cold artichoke and the fresh tuna tartar. Unfortunately the meatballs which everyone was raving about were nothing special, like ones you could defrost from the frozen section of the supermarket. They should be embarrassed by their tortellini type pasta stuffed with a beef and served with 20 aged balsamic. They tasted like fresh pasta you buy to boil out of a bag. There were few small ones on the plate and they charged $42. The service wasn’t great either, but our waitress was lovely and it wasn’t her fault that she was overwhelmed with tables to serve. I guess this place needs to make their margins so they can pay the expensive rent for the huge space in that building and area in the city. I will not return and deter others from going.

It was a perfect evening celebrating with family. Environment was lively, food was excellent, cocktails were delicious and the service was perfect. Highly recommend.

Very slow service, we were there for lunch and they felt understaffed which is unfortunate. Food was fine, largely over seasoned and built for a photo and not taste.

Too loud, hard to have a conversation even during lunch. The garlic babka is delicious, so are the meatballs (though this style of meatballs is a dime a dozen in NYC). I had the burger, which was overly done and charred (despite asking for medium rare); the bun was similarly too charred; the bacon wasn't crispy, it was just hard - the combination made for a rock-hard burger, that was even tough to cut with a knife and fork. The favor is otherwise interesting, the creaminess of the spicy mayo with the tartness of the pickled red peppers. Overall a meh experience. I think there are better values and options in the neighborhood.

I love your restaurant. I bring accounts to you all the time. Ive been three times before and its been great but this time that I brought clients there it was awful. Ive never felt like the waiter wanted to turn over the table more in my life. We got there at 6- we ordered apps and entrees and dessert and the waiter put the bill down on the table by 7. At one point we were 3/4 through eating the appetizers when the meals came out and they started taking plates away that weren’t finished. My client started taking things off the plate as it was being taken away. Then, the waiter put the bill down on the table while we were still eating dessert without even asking if we wanted anything else to drink. A $400 meal in one hour just seems crazy. We ended up sitting and finishing talking with no drinks for about twenty minutes after the bill came because I felt so bad that it was such a quick dinner. Ive NEVER had an experience like this at your restaurant before and I was so disappointed and embarrassed!

I remember when this restaurant opened, it was impossible to get in. Fortunately, we went early on a Monday night. I liked everything about the restaurant, the food and the ambiance are really good and the servers and staff are accommodating and kind. I was glad to see that the restaurant appeals to all age demographics . I will definitely be back.

Bizarre and confused service which diminished an otherwise good meal. Went with a friend and though we ordered the same dish, the waiter didn’t know who should get what. Asked for bread 3 times (which seems to completely befuddle our waiter) until he finally brought out some toasted bread as we were finishing our entree. On the other hand, our water glasses were refilled after every two sips. It really seems like the restaurant went on Broadway and just picked up random people to become waiters.

The restaurant is a sight to behold . Just gorgeous elegant and fun . Ambience is just beautiful. Every dish we had was incredible from the pepperoni appetizer to the roasted garlic babka to the arugula salad and the short rib pasta . Tiramisu ice cream cake is delicious ! Tequila cocktail and the nonalcoholic black tea with peach and mint excellent! Our waiter Juan was so helpful and knowledgeable and all the wait staff and hostesses professional and unpretentious. We all loved our lunch experience at Bad Roman and will definitely come back !

Took my wife here for Mother’s Day, so not your usual crowd. Lots of kids. My wife is a foodie, I’m not and could care less. Had calamari, some bread thing and salad to start, all very good. For entrees I had the filet mignon with the ravioli on top. Steak was great, I could’ve passed on the ravioli, so next time I’ll skip it. Had a can of quality beer, which was good. Wife had a cocktail and a pasta, both great. Overall a great time. Good ambiance, nicely designed and maintained. We eat out about 5 times a week and this was on the higher end of where we typically dine but the atmosphere wasn’t pretentiously stuffy and felt no different than going to more casual spots along midtown. My wife loved it here. I liked it as well. Would go again.

Very disappointing service. For a restaurant that is more upscale and expensive, no personal service or attendance was provided to the dining guests. Had to wait very long for food to arrive, flagged different servers so we could order more drinks/water. In the end our dinner ended up lasting over 2.5hrs due to slow service. Overall disappointed for my first experience there.

I do recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s looking for a good Italian food, tasty and decently portioned. We had an amazing lunch today. The wine list is extensive and so divine. Prices are fair. Ambience is good and the management is very attentive.

Good food but this is not a regular ITALIAN Restaurant. My complaint is the service while friendly and efficient was too slow. Had to wait so long for main course that we didn't have time for dessert. I REALLY wanted to try the cheesecake dessert but had theater tix at Lincoln Center and had to leave. The steak main course was very good and I tried a bit of the papperdell that was also very good.

Fleet, although you enjoyed the food, we are sorry that the service was a bit slow despite having good waitstaff. We continue to work on rectifying this issue and hope that next time when you visit again things will be perfect, or at least better. The cheesecake is to die for so we hope you come back to try it.

Fantastic service, drinks & wine selection and food. Filet with spicy crab canneloni side was just wonderful and salads are fantastic. Highly popular restaurant.

With the exception of lobster scampi, food was overall very good and some dishes, exceptional.

Looked just like landmark except less kids. The food was mediocre at best. This is all hype. The Hamachi look like a tuna fish salad

Truly some of the worst service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. We came in for a late lunch and while I understand it was close to closing for dinner time, I do not expect to be ignored for the first 20 minutes after being seated, only to then be rushed out and have the floors swept around me while I’m trying to enjoy my (overpriced) meal. The food was okay but not nearly good enough to overlook the service and I will not be returning anytime in the foreseeable future.

Very friendly servers made for a very enjoyable dinner. Very good food and good size portions. Dessert was excellent!

We had a wonderful birthday celebration at Bad Roman. Everything was perfect, the room was beautiful, and the food was amazing, from the ricotta with honey appetizer, the short rib pasta, the chicken paillard to the blood orange sorbet. We will return soon.

I made a reservation for 8pm and they gave us our table at 8:40pm after asking multiple times and receiving bad attitude from the host. Food is expensive and average and after a bad service I won't recommend this restaurant.

Our first mediocre meal at Bad Roman. Filet was overcooked and Salmon had no flavor. Very unusual for them and disappointing. Service was amazing as always.
