Bacchus Wine Bistro is an oasis of Old World charm nestled within St. Pete’s expanding modernity. It was perfect from start to finish. Let’s start with the most important - the people. The general manager is also a sommelier, a real rarity in smaller restaurants, and she knows her wine, and was willing to talk wine with us. Then along came Paul, our server for the evening. He was engaging, funny, friendly, knowledgeable, and delightful. He paced the dinner in European fashion with no sense of rush. We were there eating and enjoying ourselves for close to two hours. The food. The menu , we noted, was limited, but quite honestly, in Parisian fashion, it was more than adequate . It was stunning! We started with a bottle of Bleu de Mer, from the south of France. Impeccable and not terribly pricey for a restaurant bottle. Then we moved to the Foie Gras, and it was quite honestly better than any we have had in France. My wife chose the sea bass and I the steak au poivre, both season and cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. For desert we chose the salted caramel cheesecake, and since it was m birthday celebration, Paul presented us with a pairing of a very nice champagne. The evening ended with two people who were 100% satisfied. This was our first visit here and it will not be the last!

Came here for an early Mother’s Day celebration. And we had the best time!! Shout to our server Taylor she was THE BEST, gave great recommendations and gave us an overall experience.

We choose Bacchus for our anniversary dinner for several reasons: great service, amazing food and an atmosphere that can’t be beat. As always, they delivered on all three and even presented us with complimentary champagne once they found out it was our anniversary. Can’t wait to go back for our weekly date night.

Amazing place. Everything was perfect, food, atmosphere, staff.. Our server Madison was great, and my fiancée and I received a complimentary glass of champagne for the occasion we were celebrating (anniversary). We loved it and cannot wait to come back!

Sea Bass in Paper was outstanding. Steak au Poivre delicious. Mebu is limited, though. Wouldn’t get Goat cheese with Beets. Don’t taste goat cheese at all. Nice location.

We dined outside and the ambiance was lovely. The flatbread and charcuterie were delicious as well as beautiful to the eye. Our server was attentive. A terrific evening in St. Pete. I would highly recommend a visit.

We really enjoyed our first visit across the board. Exceeded our expectations. Service and food were top quality. Rating 4 of 5 stars due to “cramped” seating.

Great tables on the sidewalk, indoor dining too We met up for lunch, umbrellas for shade, the higher chairs weren't great but once you got in them it was good. Food and wine were fantastic!

We had a reservation at 8 am on a Saturday night and we realized we would prefer to sit outside. The host guided us to a waiting area and we ordered a drink to wait. It was less then 10 mins and we were escorted to an outside table. Excellent service. We ordered a Charcuterie Board and it was outstanding. The server was educated well and guided us to not order too much food. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding. Great experience. Will definitely return. Not sure what they could’ve done better. Highly recommend.

This place has got it right. The fundamentals are in place and it all begins and ends where it should; with the food. Fresh ingredients and flavors that compliment each other, all beautifully presented with care and attention to detail. I expect to pay more for this level of experience so I was pleasantly surprised at the happy hour offerings and how reasonably priced they are. And there’s no scrimping either, no lack of food, presentation or flavor. There are a lot of restaurants in this kind of food space but for me, no one is at this level. In fact, I’d like to take the owners of other establishments to Bacchaus and show them how it’s done. My wife and I love this place and visit St. Pete because of it. If you haven’t experienced it yet? Reserve a table and go.. you won’t be disappointed.

Probably our 10th time eating at Bacchus. The staff is very responsive. Considerable and properly priced wines to go with a small dinner menu and excellent a la cart charcuterie. Ask for the sommelier who is often there. She is knowledgeable. Front porch or window tables provide happening, vibrant experience.

We have visited Bacchus numerous times, and it never disappoints. The service is above excellent. The selection of wine and beer is also wonderful. The French Onion soup is the best i have ever consumed anywhere. We also had the Lobster salad which was delightful. The Happy Hour selections are also fantastic. We will be returning in the near future.

My favorite go to place for happy hour, or when company come in town, and even on my own for just a glass of wine and a snack. The staff make you feel like you’re at home!

Decided to celebrate my birthday here....great experience!!! They are very generous with the amount of cheese they give you! Everything's so fresh, and the vibe is very european. Will definitely come back!! :) :) :) Great times!

4th time there in 2 years.Always great wine and food. We sit outside and 3 times we have had Paul as our engaging waiter.Yesterday I left my hat and Paul chased us to give it back.Thanks. And have the Muffaletta,it is tasty.

International cheeses are the stars here, although the entire menu features eclectic items, beautifully prepared and delicious. Eating outdoors in St Pete on a warm beautiful evening adds to the experience. Our waiter was knowledgeable about all the food and outstanding wines. Very worth visiting.

Had an early Easter meal at an outside table. Vegetable flatbread was amazing, server was also a big help in putting together a terrific cheese board. Throw in a reasonably priced Prosecco and what more could you want? Will definitely return when we are back in St Pete.

What a great place if you like charcuterie. We choose several meats and several cheeses that were accompanied great jams and other accouterments. We sat outside on the sidewalk at a hightop which was all they had and was a bit difficult with a baby in a stroller but it all worked out perfectly. Give it a try.

Bacchus Wine Bistro has literally the best food in DTSP. Our server, Wilson, is a seasoned pro. He achieved that perfect sweet spot of seamless, comprehensive service without being intrusive. Food was timely, fresh and delicious. Drinks stayed full. The sommelier, Devorah made perfect wine recommendations for us. My out of town friends were blown away! Can’t wait to return!
