Food was terrible. The roast chicken was bland and tasteless. Kids spaghetti tastes and looked like the sauce was dumped from a jar. Food came out too fast for it to be cooked fresh. It sounded like there was some sort of industrial vent running through the restaurant which caused it to be very loud and noisy. Would NEVER return here.

My husband, two kids (ages 10 and 11), and I went to Bacall’s for a pre-theater dinner on my birthday. We all loved the decor, the lively atmosphere, the amazing food, and the flawless service! The menu had something for everyone (although both kids ordered and loved the buttered noodles); if you like pasta, the Bucharest Pasta was honestly one of the best pastas I’ve ever eaten (and my husband, who has pretty high standards, agreed)…my husband’s steak was outstanding, as well - perfectly cooked and flavorful. We do not live in NYC and like to try different restaurants when we visit because there is so much to choose from, but we will definitely return to Bacall’s.

The fish was overcooked, the portion was small. The steak was tasty. The beet salad was from a can.

Extraordinarily good food at reasonable prices in an Old Hollywood setting with vintage posters and antique cameras everywhere. Cocktail pours are very generous. Did I mention ladies eat free on Thursdays? A few minor restrictions but a great bargain for half the population. All this pulled together perfectly at the hand of our server, "Abi" Abhishek. Request him and you won't be disappointed.

Overally priced pub food (with a few different touches!), but good service, wonderful ambience. Will definitely keep in mind for my next theater outing!

Wir haben uns mehr erwartet und sind etwas enttäuscht worden, sowohl wegen der Lautstärke, die ein vernünftiges Gespräch kaum erlaubte, als auch das Essen, dass allenfalls mittelmäßig bis durchschnittlich war. Das Ambiente wirkt unpersönlich und alles ist auf eine schnelle Kundschaft ausgerichtet.

Der hohe Geräuschpegel, der es schwierig machte, ein ordentliches Gespräch zu führen, und die durchschnittliche Qualität der Speisen scheinen Ihren Gesamteindruck beeinträchtigt zu haben. The crab cake was not lump and tasted a little fishy. We also had the brunch menu chicken and waffles, which was two pieces of fried chicken thigh, which had lots of fried skin and very little meat and when I say two pieces I mean two chicken fingers worth of chicken thigh probably one thigh split in two (at best). The waffles were delicious, but there were two waffles and two small pieces of chicken. It would’ve been better with one waffle and three pieces of chicken if that’s the size of chicken serve with it.
