Babbo Ristorante, located in the heart of New York City's Greenwich Village, is proud to announce its Enoteca Series: Italy By The Sea, June 4th - 6th, 2024. The food was delicious. The bartender was so nice and offered great service. The host staff lead was a bit pretentious and borderline rude. I liked the ambience of the place. Would recommend to friends!

We celebrated my best friend’s birthday, and everything about the meal was outstanding. We had cocktails, a beautiful bottle of wine, and then split appetizers, pasta, and a main. A perfect night with attentive wait staff and fun vibes,

For the most part, the food was good, but two items did not hit the mark (Burrata and Lobster Spaghetti). They are not very flexible when it comes to making any requests of the food and/or plating (splitting two appetizers in the kitchen). Wine service took a long time. Some dishes were excellent (Halibut, Short Ribs).

Every time I come to New York Babbo is one of my favorite restaurants to dine. The staff is so accommodating and attentive and the food is always delicious. We had several courses but I have to say the Oxtail Tagliatelle was amazing and definitely my favorite pasta. Never a bad meal or experience at Babbo.

Delicious food with some unique dishes. Be brave and try the tongue appetizer! Attentive, personal service and delightful atmosphere. It could have been a little quieter, but overall a wonderful evening.

The highest quality food and service. The pasta couldn’t be more delicious. The salads were likewise tasty and spring fresh. A huge staff who makes sure every aspect of the meal is enjoyable!

The food and service were excellent! When we arrived, they were running behind on reservations, so they gave us complimentary drinks for waiting. We were seated about 20 minutes late, but they made up for it. We were also given a complimentary appetizer of the mozzarella di bufala campana. My fiancé LOVED this. It was his favorite part of the meal. We then ordered the egg raviolo, black spaghetti, halibut, and the duck pasta special. We really wanted the branzino, but they had literally just ran out. We were disappointed, but all the food was so good, regardless. When I have the opportunity to try restaurants owned by famous chefs/restaurateurs, my expectations are always high and Babbo definitely exceeded my expectations. I would definitely come back again!

I've been going to Babbo since 2000, still one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Food was great, getting louder and more casual and more expensive everytime I go (which is the norm these days) and service great, and shout out to Carlos who is fairly new there and charming in his eagerness to please.

Wonderful Italian food in the Village. The bar is our favorite place to eat (and drink). Mariano is an especially attentive and knowledgeable bartender. Great recommendations on food and wine. Go early, not so crowded.

Babbo is always an experience. This time , for the first time i felt like the servers were rushing us a bit , as if trying to get rid of us before the next party. This was the very first time i felt this way. Usually the service is impeccable. Good is to die for. I also love the music. Someone has really great taste. Not to mention that centerpiece i always enjoy staring at all evening.

One of our fav Italian spots pre-Covid, but the last couple times we have gone, fairly disappointed. This last time felt like the worst value yet… everything was just “good.” They asked if we wanted them to bring some butter noodle pasta for our toddler. We said sure… he ate about three noodles and it was not very good. But it was $26. Felt like they took us for a ride. Not going to go back for a long time, if ever. Sad writing this.

The chairs are very uncomfortable. The decor is tired but the townhouse feel is still great. Needs a refresh. The food was solid an always but it lost the feel that it had 15 years ago as the service was a bit brusk.

Terrible experience. It's not the Babbo of old. The floor manager was rude and condescending, and the coat check team were absolute clowns. It really spoiled the experience, and suffice to say I shan't be returning. On the plus side, the bar staff were amazing as always. And the wine director was very knowledgeable, and very friendly. Food was passable; we had the pasta tasting, and suffice to say it wasn't anything to write home about.

Came in for desserts only. Had the olive oil cake, cheesecake and copetta. Cheesecake was nice and creamy, great flavour combo. Absolutely loved the olive oil cake, all worked well together. Best I’ve had in a while. Will be back to have more of the menu.

Surprisingly a fantastic and delicious experience! The lamb’s tongue and beef cheek ravioli were both great and the ossobuco was pretty good! Vibes were energetic and fun, and the service was overall very good! Wines and cocktails reasonable priced as well!

I was quite dissatisfied with my recent dining experience. We ordered what we thought was a bottle of wine that was on special for $50 for International Women's Day. Unfortunately, it turned out to be $50 for a 6-ounce pour, a detail not clearly outlined on the wine list. We clearly asked both the waiter and the sommelier for a BOTTLE and at no point did they clarify that it was $50 a pour. Adding to the disappointment, our wine didn't arrive until after we had already begun our salads. Regrettably, the staff, including the waiter, sommelier, and manager, failed to rectify the situation or take any responsibility for the confusion. Although the salads were enjoyable, the pasta fell short of expectations. I can't help but wonder if our experience was influenced by our age, as we felt overlooked and discounted as a group of older women. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to this restaurant and cannot recommend it to others based on this disappointing experience.
