This is by far the ultimate mexican culinary experience. Our Sommelier has chosen 4 premium labels from different wine regions in Mexico and our culinary team has created traditional dishes from those specific wine regions that pairs with each wine. Not only you will discover premium mexican wines, but also regional dishes from our beautiful Mexico. This is not a common Wine Tasting, but it's a Wine Tour Around Mexico and also a Food Tour Around Mexico with a high degree of difficulty.

Caesar was fantastic! The restaurant was very busy and he was hustling making it all happen. The food was sophisticated. Highly recommend a beautiful evening!

The food was excellent; creative, yet still very authentic. The turkey was a standout. Cesar was very attentive and a pleasure. Would recommend this to anyone visiting the Conrad or Tulum in general.

Outstanding food, wine, service and ambiance My husband and I had an excellent dinner at Autor. We’re staying in Akumal but it’s a short drive. We were offered seating at the counter overlooking the kitchen or at one of their large tables with plush banquettes, and opted for the counter, where the chairs are also very comfortable. It’s interesting watching the chefs work and we always enjoy interacting with them. The room is handsomely decorated with views of lush greenery so you feel as if you’re in a secluded jungle hideaway. We opted for the tasting menu so we could sample more dishes, and I had the wine pairing. The food was outstanding! Though contemporary and creative, it still tasted distinctly Mexican, and we savored every bite. The wine pairings were brilliantly conceived and we had the great pleasure of meeting their sommelier, Aaron, who explained how he collaborates with winemakers on blends specifically made for the hotel. The Sauvignon Blanc blend was particularly memorable. Mexican wine is underrated in my opinion and I was very pleased to have the opportunity to try these. Luis and Cesar provided terrific service, highly attentive and personable, the hostess was welcoming and even the young men who parked our car were friendly and efficient. The cost was not out of line with the quality and well worth the price for a truly lovely experience.

Food is excellent but overpriced. Striped bass and Lso brisket entrees are very good. Wine costs $30/glass or $200 per bottle for wines that sell for under $20/bottle.

Phenomenal service. Sea bass was divine. Every one there was beyond nice and welcoming. Fairly priced for fine dining.

Do yourself a favor and order the cabbage - It’s mind altering. Also highly recommend the smoked duck breast, sea bass with tamarind butter and the pumpkin dessert. Can’t wait to return!

Excelente comida, aunque los precios son elevados por estar dentro del Hotel Conrad Tulum. Básicamente los precios están fuera del alcance del turismo nacional, sin embargo la calidad de los alimentos es excelente y el servicio también

This is a beautifully designed restaurant with great service. I highly recommend the short rib tamale if it is available; it is outstanding and unique. The other dishes I had, broccoli (starter) and shrimp (main course), were underwhelming; one dish was under-cooked, the other was over-cooked.

Los meseros fueron bueno y atentos con nosotros, pero el manager no lo saludo a nosotros y eso fue un poco mal. El fue a cada mesa y el ignoro a nosotros. Muy mal.

This is by far our favorite dinner restaurant on Conrad property and we have tried them all this week. It’s hard for one restaurant to outdo another here because the service and food quality has been consistently excellent everywhere. However the elegance of service, taste of the dishes, and ambiance has stood out to us as the highlight of our trip. Our server Jesus was the best, and we returned for a second night to enjoy the food again before we left Mexico. Can’t wait to return.

The chef’s proposal is very interesting, dishes based and centered around local traditions. Very creative and tasty dishes, with farm to table ingredients. If you want to have an authentic Mexican experience this is the place to try. The tamalli, charred broccoli and prime beef are a must! The fixed tasting menu will not disappoint.

Service was amazing but food left something to be desired- pork belly was extremely dry and fat wasn't rendered, blue fin tuna was fishy, short rib tamale was one-note- didn't live up to the reputation. Wouldn't go back.

Fantastic dinner last night! Super wine selection, outstanding service and really sophisticated environment-everything was wonderful. We had corn tamales and the scallops for apps, both were very good., short rib tamales are hearty. Duck was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. Shrimp was delicious too. If you still have room, try the pumpkin dessert-unusual and delish!

Service was exceptional due to the manager. Regrets that I don’t remember his name. However the food was a miss. Tried too hard to be fancy and fussy, resulting in very chaotic dishes. Presentation was good but the food just did not meet expectations. It was not a cheap dinner.

Amazing food and service. Jesus, our server, and the manager both took excellent care of us. We were fortunate to get two seats at the kitchen bar and were able to talk to the chefs as they prepared every meal. The food was phenomenal. Loved the tamales. Just wow!

If you're looking for an elevated, fine dining, Mexican food experience, then you'll like Autor. Flavors were fine, prices were not. Value is definitely not found here.

Nous avons commandés le menu dégustation avec l’accord mets et vins. Nous avons pour commencer pris en apéritif des cocktails. Nous avons commencé à déguster le menu à 21h30. A 22h20 le maître d’hôtel nous a informé qu’ils ne pourraient pas finir de nous servir le menu car les cuisines fermaient à 22h30. Personne ne nous a informé lors de notre commande que les cuisines fermaient à cette heure et que nous n’aurions pas le temps de finir le menu. Nous avons donc décidés de partir car le menu ne pouvait pas nous être servis. Le maître d’hôtel nous a pourtant facturé le menu et l’accord, sans aucun geste commercial alors que l’expérience n’était pas du tout au rendez-vous. Nous n’avons même pas pu finir de dîner. Nous travaillons tous les deux dans la restauration et cette situation est du jamais vu. C’est scandaleux. Il aurait juste fallu nous informer lors de la commande que nous ne pouvions pas commander le menu dégustation par faute de temps et nous aurions commande autre chose. Bref nous ne reviendrons pas et ne recommanderons pas cet établissement et cela est très dommage car la cuisine y est très bonne et creative.
