I have been at Aura a couple of times and every time is a great time! The food and drinks are amazing and I enjoy all of it. The music is perfect goes well with the atmosphere.

The ambience of the restaurant was good… How ever the food was HORRIBLE!!! I do not see myself returning to this establishment.

We were there on Jazz night which caused a higher than normal noise level, but the Jazz was outstanding.

We planned a birthday luncheon for eight. There was a party and the music was so loud, there was no point in attempting any conversation. Though we asked the DJ and the manager to reduce the volume, it was never reduced to the point we could talk to the person sitting just across from you. We should have been advised of the party when we made the reservation not at the front door. We had a drink and left.

The ambiance and atmosphere was great music was a little to loud hard to have a dinner conversation. The drinks were great they have an excellent list of cocktails. The entrees were very underwhelming the rainbow trout was small over cooked and dried out. The the lamb chops had a fishy taste as if they cooked in same pan. The scallops were too pricey and over cooked.

Food was very tasty but both of my sisters ordered the scallops entree and they were extremely disappointed. The scallop entree was def an appetizer/tapas plate, not an entree plate. Like I said the the food and drinks were tasty but the scallops had us a little confused.

Came here for a nice Mother’s Day dinner, the ambiance was nice but the music was excessive. Felt like i was at a club rather than a dinner. Over priced drinks as well

The decor = gorg 🤩 The food = slam dunk, recommend the sliders and calamari!! The cocktails = classy, elegant, tasty - they’re very generous with the booze. 🍸 We’ll be returning!

Just didn’t live up to a reasonable standard. Seemed to be run by people who did not understand basics of restaurant industry. Greet people when they walk in, provide menus for everyone at the table, serve the table all the food at the same time, meats should be cooked to order and not overcooked. Drinks were drastically overpriced and not really craft cocktails. Would not recommend

Es un lugar perfecto para ir a darse unos tragos after work o para ir con tu grupo de chicas. El servicio es súper amigable y los tragos son muy ricos. Lo único que no me gusto mucho fue el DJ que cambiaba la música drásticamente de un género a otro. Pero en general 9/10

Went when this place first opened and it was good but still working out the kinks. Went again recently and not only are most of the kinks worked out but the menu has been elated drink menu too super creative. Lovely place.

Had a great girls night out at Aura . Delicious drinks and the DJ played all the best music . He was in tune with the crowd !

Place was amazing, great jazz band. Mixologists were killer! Best drinks in Bergen County! Food was so good, recommend the cauliflower bites especially.

The drinks were horrible, two of the Long Island ice teas that was ordered was sent back. The food was cold, it’s a nice and clean place however they need to make changes.

Much like other reviewers, I made a reservation and was basically lost in the shuffle. The host and staff was not very friendly. There is no waiting area which made the weight very uncomfortable. And when I say wait, I mean the 50 minutes that went by with absolutely no communication from the host. We Decided to grab a drink while we waited and although it’s marketed as a full bar, it had a very limited selection. The drinks were subpar and overpriced for the quality. While grabbing a drink for the extremely long wait the host forgot about us and sat everyone that arrived after us. I approached him about it and told him we were leaving, not even an apology was offered in fact he couldn’t care less.

Reservation was accepted and confirmed yet we arrived and restaurant was closed. We drove 40 mins. They should really update their reservation calendar.

Having been a part of the service industry, I think I can confidently say that the service at this restaurant needs improvement. The staff does not smile and is not knowledgeable about the plates that are on their menu. One dining at a restaurant a customer should not have to ask the waitress when she is ready to put their order in. We waited 30 minutes for an appetizer that consisted of goat, cheese, and mushrooms on a piece of toast and a French onion soup. My steak plate was cold and the potatoes were over done and dry. The food is not worth the dollar amount and the quality is not either. The drinks are not worth $10-$12 each. The desert also was not anything to write home about.There is nothing special about them.

It was my birthday dinner with family. The waitress was nice but the service was HORRIBLE!! Reservation was at 7pm, apps didn’t come until 8 pm and dinner wasn’t until 9pm!! Two hours later. Drinks and apps were good entrees I was not impressed. We didn’t even order cake because that probably would have take another hour. One of my guests had to send back their drinks twice because it was off. The third time finally was right and they enjoyed. When they asked for another round of drinks they said the bartender did not want to make anymore drinks for my guest?!? Then sent a random worker over to show a picture of drinks. It was just so unprofessional and rude. I will never go back. The only part I enjoyed was the one drink I was allowed on my own birthday and the dj.

Had dinner reservations for 9- they had us down for 8:30. They offered us a table and then asked us to switch tables to one that was in a corner in the window of the restaurant which felt awkward and was brightly lit by the street lamps. Then the waitress starts the evening by saying if we’re eating it’s going to take a long time because the kitchen is extremely backed up. That’s usually fine by me if the food is good- then the wait is worth it. We waited 1 hour for two appetizers, and after all that waiting the food was Luke warm and cold within minutes of being on our table. The riceballs had such delicious flavor- it was a shame they were cold. The place has potential but it has so many kinks that need to be worked out before it can be better.

The restaurant is a surprising hole in the wall in Hackensack, honestly never expected to find such a quality place, the drinks were great, service was good and the food was delicious. Also they had a great Dj which transformed the dining experience, will definitely be visiting again!

Waitress was good… Management and the outside promoter were obnoxious. I have eaten in 1,000+ restaurants in my life and I have never been asked to move tables in the middle of our meal …. I were made to feel very unwelcome. I would highly recommend selecting another restaurant … this place was awful and the food was mediocre, at best.

The restaurant is new so maybe they are still figuring stuff out but we had reservations for a party of 4 when they seated us we were put at a table right next to another party of 4 and the place was not crowded at all silly. we asked to move to a table so we were not so close to others. They said they had to check first. Really? No one else was there. It took a bit of time for someone to come and take our drink order. THe music is super super loud for a dining experience with others that you want to talk to. We asked to have it lowered and they did do that. The food was just ok and expensive. Drinks were actually good but also very expensive.

Wanted to check out this new place in Hackensack. Thai chili calamari was quite good, we also had the pasta with sausage (tasty, heavy and very filling) and honey-glazed salmon. We tried several cocktails (my fave was the Aurora!) and the bartender even suggested some off-the-menu choices for after-dinner drinks. Great place, fun vibe. DJ later in the evening played a nice variety of music.
