went for a birthday dinner and couldn’t bring in a decent cake. chatted $7 per slice that they would have to cut (couldn’t cut our own cake). it’s a mexican restaurant and they were out of guac ._. server checked on us 3 times the 2 1/2 HOURS we were sat at our table. def could have taken our order and gotten our food quicker. food was so mediocre for the prices to be honest. picked indoor seating so we wouldn’t be hot- all of the big doors were open and we were basically sweating. cuteeee outdoor area though.

The restaurant has three major issues, none of which is the food. That was pretty good, however the bad experience started with no one answers the phone and even the hotel said that the people there dont answer (and it was not busy), the waiter was horrible- inattentive, not happy, wrong orders, u name it and that domino’d to the food runners, and if there was a manager on duty they were completely absent. We ordered a queso and then two more came on top of that, orders ceviche and an extra one comes all of which we sent back - then “we don’t have taquitos today and oh we don’t have Carne Asada either”. It’s a great ambience and good food, if they have it, but there needs to be a serious rework of the operations. This is on the list of “not going back”, especially for the price of it.

Definitely pass on this place. Such a let down. Took 20 mins just to get service and the place wasn’t even busy, drinks were so bad, and food was forgettable. If you want a cool vibe and great food, go La Piscina. Close by and way better

We ate outside on the patio. It was beautiful and peaceful. Michael was our server and was wonderful. We has the guac and chips, carnitas and fajitas. All were so yummy. Portions were large! I ate more than I needed but it was too tasty to stop. We would recommend.

We were not told up front that tabs could not be split. When asking for our checks, we were told it can only be on one tab or split evenly up to 6 ways. An even split did not make sense because half had multiple drinks and the other half had no drinks. I understand having a split tab policy during busy times, but we were the only table in the restaurant (7 top) and all of us were former service industry people who have used Toast and know for a fact that Toast has the capability to do separate seats on separate checks. We would have all gladly left extra gratuity on top of the auto-grat if they would have accommodated this.

Prices are much higher than on the menu that’s on OpenTable. The food was pretty good but the service was awful, which is ironic cuz our server was training a new server. I waited easily 30 minutes for the server to check on us for boxes/check or anything similar, never came. I had to go inside and search for someone to close out with. This didn’t happen to just myself, the table next to us had the same thing happen to them about 30 minutes prior. The view and vibes are cool, but I wouldn’t try it again for at least another 2 months to let them figure out how to provide service.

They have a creative menu and a cool rooftop setting with views of downtown. The interior has a great vibe and the staff were friendly.

Arriba Abajo has a beautiful location and cool vibes but they seem to still be working on everything else. I had three waiters (not sure why, but the last one was nice at least), so I ordered queso three times…they took 1 hour to bring it. The drinks were nothing special. When I finally ordered food they were out of carnitas, steak, a salad (did I miss the window because the queso took so long?). The fish taco was delicious, however. I would come here again but early so I could get all of the menu options. I would also just get beer.
