Aromi It’s one of the best restaurant’s in the Summerlin area with amazing food! I am on the email notification for weekend specials and this weekend it was truly wonderful. It was a half of lobster with swordfish and a corn purée underneath. For not being anywhere close to an ocean this seafood was delicious and prepared beautifully. If you haven’t been here you are really missing out. Also for people who enjoy wine they have a great selection.

We are “regulars” at this stellar neighborhood Italian restaurant. Every time we have friends or family in town we take them to experience the exquisite cooking from German Castellanos. We walk in the door and German Jr. greets us with a warm smile and gentle hug, assuring us how welcomed we are. The staff is just as friendly and we love hearing about the daily specials (the Branzino special was outstanding!). We were blown away having landed there for dinner on a Thursday only to discover that if you order a pasta you can get any bottle of wine “half price”! How can you beat that? We’ve dined at many a famous and well respected Italian restaurant on the Strip but there is no better Chef than German. Accommodating is their motto, and the presentation lets you know how much care goes into each dish. We sat next to a group (4) who were experiencing a “Tasting Menu” for $85/per person. Tempted to try that next time we venture in. Just go . . . You will not be disappointed.

The food preparation has changed some, but I have to say I did like how they prepared some of the dishes we had better when they 1st opened. However, it was still very good. Portion sizes were ok, but a little pricey for them now. The crab cakes which were so delicious are now no longer on the menu. Terrible option to remove. The waitress was very nice, and attentive, but there was a bit of a language barrier which made communication a little challenging at times. The person that was bussing the table did not speak much English and was clearing the table between courses much too fast, at times actually standing close to the table waiting for plates to be ready to take. This is something that definitely needs to be addressed by the owner as it was very uncomfortable. The dessert and cappuccino was delicious but the cappuccino came out 1st and the cannoli came out much later, I even had to ask about it, and when it did finally come out we were just about done with the coffee, so the timing there was very poor. I was disappointed with a few things last night especially since I was celebrating my 34th wedding anniversary. I have been to Aromi’s many times since it opened and I was sad to witness the decline of service and timing, and communication. Hopefully it will be better next time if I now choose to go anymore. I may try it 1 more time in the future and give it another chance. With the increase in prices for the entrees, we’ll have to see.
