We love Aromi for its excellent food, and friendly service. Our server, Rachel, was outstanding in providing with a great experience. I had a special of the night , veal saltimbocca, that was flavorful. My wife had her favorite, eggplant Parmesan, and it was great as usual. We split 2 crabcakes for an appetizer. They were tasty and nice and crunchy. We had the special cheesecake dessert with a berry coulis to top off the dinner. Good wine selections also. If it weren’t for a large table of very noisy people, it would have been an exceptional experience but was very enjoyable nonetheless.

Our second visit to Aromi and I was a bit disappointed this time. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and it was rubbery and tasteless. The sauce and side dish of pasta was good but the chicken was really disappointing. My husband had the clams and spaghetti and he loved his choice. We shared a burrata salad that was good and also enjoyed a white cake dessert. Just wish that chicken parm would have been better! The place was packed and really loud so don’t go there if you want to have a conversation with your dinner partner either!!

Aromi is a hidden gem! I’m torn between wanting them to do super well and wanting to keep it to myself. The food here is high-end, creative Italian cuisine in a completely comfortable, unpretentious, local setting. And it all starts off with their highly addicting focaccia bread with such flavorful, garlic olive oil for dipping. They have great half off wines during the week, and the staff remembers you and are super friendly. I cannot say enough about this place!

This was mine and my wife’s first time at Aromi. The place was hopping when we got there for dinner. It’s an Italian restaurant, so expect some noise. Small to medium bar that seats roughly 10-12 people. You can also eat at the bar. We sat at a small table near the window. Aromi had a special Easter menu in addition to their normal dinner menu this week. It looked incredible. We only ordered the appetizer off it. The appetizers was couscous mixed with baby heirloom tomatoes and arugula, with warm buffalo mozzarella on top along with a lobster tail, finished with balsamic and truffle oil. See photo. Our dinner choices were gnocchi with a fresh tomato sauce topped with buffalo mozzarella and pappardelle cinghiale (wild boar). Both dishes were excellent. Value was good as well. See photos. We will most definitely be coming back to try other dishes. The service is top shelf…the food was excellent…and the atmosphere fun. My only criticism had to do with their wine by the glass list. Four reds and four whites. Only two of the reds were actually Italian wines. No Barbera, Barolo, or Nebbiolo. Just a Chianti and a red Italian blend (not a Super Tuscan).

Aromi German and German Jr. always hit it out of the park. They’ve hire new staff to give some of the others a break and the new staff are equally as good as the originals. Whoever does the hiring, they have a gift for identifying talent. Bravo!

Spectacular! Brilliant, a truly wonderful meal and evening. I was not kind to Aromi on my first visit to them admittedly within the first month of their opening. My error in that I should have allowed a little more time before my criticisms. All that has changed. The finishes are complete. A quaint bar upon entering. Comfortable seating in the two distinct dining areas. We were early diners but the restaurant quickly filled an hour after our arrival. The staff were amazing. A couple of food runners assisted the star of the evening. With tongue-in-cheek, I nominated her as "Rachel from Lodi" What a personality. Rachel had the entire restaurant under her control as well as a little banter with the diners. We went out for a neighborhood meal and we got a great deal more from Aromi. My Carpaccio freshly presented, not frozen to the plate, my wife's Caesar Salad the same except for the hard, stale croutons. The best way to sample the best of an Italian Restaurant is via their Chef's Spaghetti and meatballs. My meal was very enjoyable. The meatballs savory but devoid of any unique flavor. My wife loved the Pasta of the offering with smoked sturgeon. A little light on the sturgeon but the flavor distinctly imbued in the sauce and pasta. We closed with a shared Tiramisu and coffee. I ordered a Samuel Lindsey Cabernet Sauvignon (here is the Lodi Story!) which happened to be offered at a special discounted price. We enjoyed Rachel's suggestion immensely. I must note the value pricing of Aromi's Wine selections. I am being priced out of my preference for upscale dining establishments. Yes, Labor Cost; yes, Food Costs but then, nothing available on the wine list for less than $175 - $200.00. Aromi has the right balance in their food and beverage pricing. We will definitely be back.
