Arlo Grey is the LINE's lakeside restaurant by Top Chef winner, host , and cookbook author Kristen Kish. At Arlo Grey, Kish and Executive Chef Alejandro Munoz dig deep into the bountiful ingredients of Central Texas to create a mix of dishes. The restaurant reflects Kristen's playful yet refined cuisine, pulling inspiration from her classical training as a well as nostalgic dishes that highlight her upbringing and love of travel. Come by for a casual, comfortable experience and a menu designed to nourish the soul. Reservations are highly recommended. Valet-parking is available for $10 for 3 hours with validation.

Top Chef winner Chef Kristen Kish’s Arlo Grey will celebrate the Chef’s first season as host of the acclaimed TV show with an exclusive weekly dinner and Top Chef viewing throughout Season 21. Beginning Wednesday, March 20th, the exclusive dinner series invites guests to the intimate setting of Arlo Grey's private dining room, where Executive Chef Alejandro Munoz, will create a three-course menu for guests to savor in a convivial family-style setting. Each week, one course of the menu will undergo a delightful transformation inspired by the theme of that week's episode. In addition to the multi-course meal, guests receive a signed copy of the evening’s menu from Chef Kristen Kish to commemorate the experience and a take home sweet treat

I’m sure our experience was a one off for this restaurant but it was still a huge bummer. I’ve spent a lot of time scouring the internet to curate a list of all the great places to go in Austin for drinks & food. Arlo Grey came up on every search with every blogger, every culinary enthusiast & so a friend & I booked a resi to take our husbands for part 1 of their Father’s Day weekend. The table we were sat at had disgustingly dirty & stained upholstered bench to sit on that actually tilted back & forth which was uncomfortable & odd. Our service started out great. We ordered drinks & then quickly ordered all food as we had a concert to get to. We ordered the Wagyu steak, halibut, beets & sourdough. We got the beets & sourdough fairly quick. Food & drinks were delicious & presentation was great. Then we waited a half hour, then 45 min & the restaurant has a time limit of 1.5 hrs allotted per reservation. Well, we were coming up on that 1.5 mark & still no steak or fish. We asked our server & she promptly checked & came back saying the steak was delivered already to another table & never even mentioned the fish. We now were out of time to order something else so we left hungry & frustrated that our amazing dinner out turned into one of the husbands not eating at all bc his fish never came either. Once we told our server we would need to head out at this point to be able to make the concert on time, we never saw her again. She disappeared & seemingly avoided us & a manager came over with our bill. He offered his apologies & offered no compensation for our dinner being ruined. Handed him our card to pay & when he came back he said he only charged us for our drinks & only when we told him about our night out for the dads & all the planning & coordinating it took to even make this evening happen, he said “next time you come here, we will take care of you better.” The experience put a damper on the whole night. Left fumbling to feed hangry people in time to make the concer

Went for my birthday last night, and it was the most perfect night. Our server, Taco, went above and beyond in every way. Everything we ate (and we ate a lot) was delicious. Highly recommend for a celebration!

This was our third time here in the last few years. The service and ambience weren’t as polished as we recall the first two times we went but the food is still amazing.

Its ironic that Kristian judged the restaurant wars and was eliminated in them as well Her comment that the service was taking so long during the show is ironic? Why is that ironic? Because...we order at 7: 40 PM and did not receive our food until 8:50! I actually had to get up and go get water myself after 45 minutes. Never once was my Tea refilled or did a waiter ever come by to ask if I wanted more wine. One and half hours and we saw a waiter 4 times all night and two of those times was food delivery. Did not even clean the plates for the new course!!! The food was good but after waiting for an hour chips would have been good. Zero ambiance, no festive music and zero lighting. Over all I spent 100 plus dollars for an average burger and bland halibut. Waited 20 minutes to pay my check and had my parking validation not accepted when I left! After the restaurant validated it. Can't make this up! Not recommended and not ever going again! 🤷 just an honest review

Hi Michael, thank you for your comments, we apologize that we failed to meet your expectations for the evening. We do our best to meet all of our guest needs in accordance with the expectations that Chef Kristen demands, but somedays we can fall short. Albeit our efforts to ensure the best possible experience is expected at every guest interaction, and it sounds like our team missed some execution points where a review like this can help us to become better in our overall service resolve. Unfortunately, the reality of the situation is that some busy nights and high volume can impact our service flow and timing; and it is my error that we did not identify your issues during our service window that evening. Parking is a part of the Line Hotel and is a standard 3-hour parking for $10.

Please do yourself a favor and get the Mafaldini and don’t share! It’s that good, you’ll wish you had it all to yourself. Our server Taco was A++ fantastic and made us feel so comfortable and also had a great sense of humor. Other dishes we enjoyed: AG Grilled Sourdough and the AG burger and salad.

Every dish was impeccable. The Mafaldini made me raise my hands subconsciously and say, “That was so good!” The floor to ceiling windows with the view of the trees being the outdoors in. All the servers were incredibly helpful and kind.
