Arrived early for a drink in the bar, recommended. Had a great table and great food and service. Great atmosphere also. Great way to top off our 10th Wedding Anniversary trip on our last night. Came following a recommendation from friends and will further recommend and revisit when back in New York.

A one of a kind experience. We had the most amazing server! Great wine, perfectly cooked steak and octopus. The vibe was understated elegant old school steakhouse. No wonder it's so highly rated! Thank you!

first time I've been here 11 years ago, and the food service and ambience is still the same Outstanding !! We had the grilled octopus as an appetizer. I had softshell crabs they were out of this world My guest had the lamb chops, which were cooked to perfection. Brussels sprouts with honey flavor was to die for And for dessert we had the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. Do you think we liked our dinner? 😊 oh and by the way, the service was excellent the mature d' came to our table a few times to see how we were doing. I'm not waiting another 11 years to come back to Aretsky's Tom G

All of the five star reviews are well earned. Menu was excellent, food was superb and service was memorable. Everyone working seemed to truly take pride in their jobs and management. Our server Liz was charming and highly professional. Cannot recommmend highly enough. We were looking for a elegant sophisticated unhurried lunch and it was delivered in spades.

Patroon is one of my favorite restaurants. Fresh oysters on the 1/2 shell were slightly briny and tasty. The Dover Sole and the salmon with beurre blanc were both delicious and we opted for the new potatoes sautéed in duck fat as a side. Heavenly. And don’t forget to order the house made Parker House rolls! Dessert was a poached pear pavlova. Also excellent. Shout out to Stephan, the Maitre d’ who took care of us!

I can’t believe I had never been to Aretsky’s Patroon before. It was outstanding. Superb service. Gorgeous dining room and bar. Classy and elegant. Civilized fine dining. Highly recommend.

Once you are nestled in you can’t help but feel you are part of en exclusive club. I have been many times, always great but tonight I took a friend who had never been. His first words to me as we left were “we absolutely need to come back with our wives. That was amazing.” Food, service and ambiance are flawless.

Attentive and friendly service at all levels. Even had a considerate stop over by both the proprietor and his son. All food items order were top notch. 2 minor issues: the Caesar salad was a bit sparse (dressing very tasty though); we had a lot of left overs from the prime beef for two and asked for a take home bag. When we got home I was in the mood to finish off the bone. Unfortunately, the bone had not been included. We called the restaurant and didn’t get a call back. The bone is one of my favorite part of eating a bone-in steak, so this was very disappointing. That all said, I still would rate Aretsky’s as five star. It is very expensive, especially the wine list!! A great business meeting restaurant

Fantastic meal, food was amazing, especially the French onion soup. Had a lovely waiter, very friendly and not overbearing. Overall a fantastic evening and the best meal I had in NYC. The bar upstairs is nice also for a pre-dinner drink.

Slightly disappointed on how long it took for the main course to be served. We sat down approximately 12:20 p.m. The appetizers came out in good time. Two people ordered the skirt steak frites and the other person ordered the grilled salmon. We waited a considerable amount of time for the main course. The main course was served painfully late.
