TL;DR not great for large groups. We had an odd experience at Aperitivo for Mother’s Day. I’d made a reservation via open table for 12 people 6 weeks ago. We were driving into town and running 10 minutes late so we called to let them know (although several members of the group arrived on time). This seemed to have been a bad idea as it gave them an excuse to not have anything ready for us and told us we’d have to wait. The host wasn’t very accommodating or welcoming. Our waitress was lovely and handled our large group with grace. However, it took about an hour to get all of our food and drinks and half came out about 15 minutes after the other half. Overall the food was good but pricey. The chef’s special, a mushroom ravioli, was quite good. They also had vegan and gluten free options.

I went with 3 other friends for dinner. We have all been there before and again we were not disappointed. Food was excellent and service was excellent.

All around it was average. We ordered some of their signature mixed drinks, they were heavy on the mixers. We skipped appetizers and my entree- pan fried salmon was over cooked, but fine, served over roasted again over cooked broccoli and cauliflower with couscous. My husband had the mushroom risotto, again it was overcooked and unremarkable. For the price point, it was generally what we expected. I’d consider going back for brunch but their dinner menu is probably too broad for the kitchen to be great at any item.

We love Aperitivo! The food is excellent, the staff attentive, and prices are more than reasonable by Boulder standards. We have now been three times in the last 3 months, and I feel like when we go in we are doing so to "our" restaurant. It has that family friendly feel. Give them all the business you can, its a treasure for Gunbarrel and we come to eat there even though we live in North Boulder.

Was totally thrilled! We will be back. Shared a few plates and got to enjoy the outdoor patio. It was truly a lovely experience.

We went for a Christmas ladies lunch. We had never been. The food was delicious and VERY fresh. Every dish we saw was beautifully presented and the flavors were exceptional. The staff and owners are very nice and they did a really great job of giving us lots of time in between checking on our needs which made it feel less like we were being watched. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone! Such a nice little place with delicious food! Good date night place too!

We had a big group for brunch and there was plenty of room. The staff was great and very kind. The food was yummy and came out pretty quickly. The ambiance was lovely and felt very comfortable. Will be back again!
