I decided last minute to stop in for a quick bite, and I was not disappointed. My server was Anya, and she was very kind and extremely knowledgeable about the food and all the ingredients in the dishes. I ended up deciding on the Pasta Pomodoro with sausage added per her recommendation. It was fantastic! I will definitely be back again soon!

Amazing food. I loved all the fresh herbs. The bruchett was unbelievable. I would highly recommend ordering this. The pastas were legit and a good portion size. Don’t skip out on the tiramisu.

This was our first visit to Apericena, and it was fantastic! The general manager Makenna was very friendly and helpful as I have celiac, so I needed to be sure what I was eating was gluten free. My gf pasta dish and my husband's dinner were both outstanding! The carrot cake for dessert (GF) was delicious! We will definitely go back!

Restaurant is set in extremely cramped quarters, no privacy or intimacy! Sit outside if weather permits! Food was nothing to shout about! There are lots of great restaurants in Boise, but this is not one of them!

When getting to the restaurant it was very cramped inside and not really what we were expecting it was cute and quaint but that's not where it goes bad. We waited over 20 minutes for a waitress to come help us remind you this room is about the size of a bathroom. We asked what the specials were and what to order and everything that was given to us was really bad. We ordered a artichoke and it was overdone and absolutely no meat was on it the breadcrumbs and the sauce was overtaking and that's about all there was. The stuffed mushroom was basically a big bowl of cheese with some mushroom the flavor was overpowering with cheese. The entrées that we ordered scallops and a pulled pork or short rib was overdone and way too fishy and or dry. Just not what we expected we will not go back.

My partner and I shared the pomodoro with clams and it may have been the best pasta I have ever had. The ricotta was a nice touch, so much so we asked for a little bit more. I was really impressed with their wine selection.

I just love this place. The dining room is so calming in the early afternoon and you can tell the employees genuinely enjoy being there. Anya has generally been my server but today I got to meet Makena their new manager. I ordered the soup of the day and also got to enjoy a show as they had an artist working in the dining room installing some of her art work to display. Overall, my dining experience was leisurely and pleasant, as always.

This space is rather small, maybe somewhere between twelve and sixteen seats in the dining room, so I would recommend making a reservation. We arrived about 20 minutes early and waited about that time to be seated, which made sense after seeing how intimate the space was! My hubby and I shared the scallops appetizer and salmon salad, and both were beautifully plated. We finished with the pollo and the beef entrees and thoroughly enjoyed both. From start to finish we were there a little over an hour and a half and we enjoyed everything. Thank you!

Apericena is always a treat but this time was extra special. The chef was preparing a few specials and I got to try to stuffed artichoke and scallops pasta dish. Both were excellent and I was happy to hear these would become permanent menu items!

I stopped in for a late lunch to celebrate my best friend’s birthday this week. It was our first time in! We had heard great things about the garden lasagna and shared this as well as the scallops appetizer. Everything was AMAZING! We had to finish with the Frazier cake after seeing a video of it on Instagram and Makena was so sweet and surprised us with a candle to help celebrate. We will absolutely be back! Thank you!!!

Our service was unsurpassed and the food decadent, as always! My hubby and I shared the seafood pasta special and a slice of cheesecake. Everything was perfect!

It took over an hour to get our order. We ended up just getting it to go, because it was so late. This is the second time that’s happened at Apericena. We love the food, but their service is just too slow.

This is tough because while the food is good, the service is horrible (and by service, I DON'T mean the kindness of the waiters). Our reservation was for 6:30, we got our drinks and app, and even though we ordered our food at 6:45ish, we didn't get it until 8:00pm. A second waitress had to come by and "confirm" what we got, AKA, take our order a second time. We asked them to comp our drinks because of the wait, and they did, so good job there, but overall, it was frustrating because we had other plans for the evening that we had to pivot on. Fortunately, it was only the two of us that were affected, but I would have been more upset if it meant putting others out. While the vibe/setting/food is incredible, if you have other plans for the evening and Apericena is your first stop, reconsider. If you choose to roll the dice, don't say I didn't tell you.

After waiting over an hour for our entrees in the very chilly outdoor tent, we unfortunately decided to pay for our drinks and appetizer and leave because when our food finally did arrive it was cold and partially reheated. The restaurant did not offer to comp anything and made no real effort to apologize or set things right in our opinion. At the end of the day we spend over $50 for two glasses of wine, an appetizer, and 2 wasted hours.

The tirumisu was really good but the entree was only ok. The flavors were good…but the chicken was very dry. I know Italian restaurants are meant to be a drawn out experience but this was a bit much. The appetizer took 30 minutes after we ordered and after that, it took over an hour to get the entree… and it was lukewarm. Unfortunately due to the small size, it was a bit loud as well.

We have dined here before and enjoyed the food and service. This time was a flop. The person who greeted us was cold and clearly didn’t want to be there. They were understaffed for the amount of people dining, we waited over an hour for our food to arrive and when it did come it was missing key ingredients. We were sitting near the kitchen, where the owner was cooking, as we heard the waitress come back multiple times to return dishes or give negative feedback from customers. The owner was short and defensive each time. Our waitress was doing the best she could given the situation and I won’t fault her. We are normally pretty easygoing when dining out but with the price we were paying, we expect the dishes to be what we ordered (lamb dish didn’t even have lamb in it). When we explained to our waitress that our food was incorrect and asked if there was anything she could do, she passed the message on to the owner who became defensive and refused to take accountability. We paid, tipped our waitress (again, not her fault). My husband tried to talk to the owner who then became combative, defensive and rude. Unfortunately we won’t be coming back after that, which is a bummer!

We loved our experience at Apericena! The food was incredible, our server was attentive and the atmosphere was wonderful. My husband and I were there for a birthday dinner on a Sunday evening. It was not busy that time in the evening so it felt quiet and intimate. We got to sit at a table by the front window. It was perfect for a birthday dinner for two. We will definitely be back!

Apericena is one of my favorite places in TV to take my wife on a date. Very relaxing atmosphere and we can trust that they are sourcing clean food.

We were celebrating a birthday and couldn’t have been more pleased. The food was great- LOVE the lemon, kale and sausage orecchiette! Our server was helpful and friendly without hovering. Can’t wait to return.

This was our second visit to this little gem located in the North End of Boise. We were there to celebrate our 43rd anniversary and birthday not my hubby. We were sat at a sweet little table in the front window. We loved the candle onnthe table. We tried to order an appetizer that had bread and they were all out of bread on a Saturday. No paninis were served due to this. NHibby ordered the short rib entree. Nothing special...the short rib was tasteless, but the potatoes and carrots added much needed flavor. The aujus /gravy was very thin and lacked substance. I ordered the salmon and risotto. The flavor of the pompodoro risotto was yummy. The piece of salmon was on the small side and a tad overcooked. We were offered a free dessert due to our celebration. We chose the espresso cheesecake. It was the highlight of our meal. The wine was mediocre at best. We chose to enjoy a glass of the house bourdeauex. Our first visit was much better all around from flavors to presentation.

This review is specifically about the food, our server was great, she was very attentive and kept us updated on our meals. The food however, was not great. The brussel sprout appetizer was wonderful, but after waiting another 45 minutes for our food because the kitchen was doing prep work to catch up from valentines day, we still expected a decent dinner. We got the braised beef ribs and the seasonal penne (gluten free, so pasta texture was not the kitchens fault) The braised beef rib was not seasoned well at all and not worth the price, the seasonal penne had very little vegetables which was the majority of what was listen on the menu, it had the flavor of a lean cuisine alfredo and the chicken was very over cooked. I have been here before and it was absolutely incredible, but if you are still catching up from a busy holiday, maybe close for the next night to catch up.

So Disappointed. Way over priced for food quality. Service poor. I ordered a sausage and kale pasta, only to be delivered a sausage and broccolini pasta. After making it clear I was not happy and having the server watch me take off the broccolini and not eat it, no apology was given, no offer of a different meal was given and no discount. Horrible !

I’ve been so excited to try this place, but my expectations fell so short. Awful service, food was 90% butter and heavy cream. Will not be coming back.

Hi there! We are very surprised by your few as we do not carry heavy cream in our restaurant and the only item on our menu that utilizes butter is our buttered bread, which is clarified in house. We would love more information on which menu items you ordered to provide feedback to our team, and would encourage communication with our staff should you choose to dine with us again. My wife and I went for an early Valentine’s Day dinner, we absolutely loved it! We actually went here for dinner after we got married at Apericena months ago and fell in love with the food, service and overall vibe. Food was good but not great. Tables felt crammed against walls & too close to each other. Didn't feel like we got value for what we paid. Likely won't be back.

Loved it! Quiet & cozy, great service, great food (including the great desserts). Will definitely be heading back there.

Simply an amazing dinner. Everyone was kind and accommodating. Tight quarters but worth it. Food was delicious and perfect. Highly recommend. So good!

Our server was Devon and he was incredibly friendly and made the dining experience enjoyable. The restaurant wasn’t busy the day we went in and Danielle made the effort to stop by our table and check in on everything. The food was delicious and something I don’t think you’d find other places in the valley!

Food took WAY too long and server went MIA. Reservation at 7 pm and weren’t served our meal until 9:30. All other tables were empty by then. Food tasted good but that is just too long to wait. Disappointing as we came from out of town and were excited to come here.
