Truly expected a long wait on Mother’s Day even though we had reservations, but arrived on time, sat immediately in a lovely room, they said it was the Annex, beautiful ceilings and decor. Water and bread brought out quickly and tremendous service. The seafood gumbo and Baked Alaska were my favorites. The jazz band was also fun.

Came for Mother’s Day brunch. The actual food was fantastic but it wasn’t brunch…it was a lunch/dinner prefix meal. Zero breakfast options which is why I’m only giving 4 stars. Brunch is breakfast + lunch and I expected some breakfast choices which were not available other than a Bloody Mary.

Eating at Antoine’s was outstanding. We dressed up for the occasion . The non enforcement of the dress code really diminished the experience.

We loved our Saturday brunch experience at Antoine’s. The oysters were cooked well, and they were huge (for context, we live on the Gulf Coast/beach generally don’t see oysters of this size). The blueberry blintzes were appropriately sized to be an appetizer and delicious. Our entrées were delicious: shrimp and grits, Pompano Ponchartrain, and Pain Perdu (French toast). Living on the Gulf Coast, We eat shrimp and grits often, and many takes on the classic dish; however, Antoine’s mastered keeping the dish rich and light with the perfect amount of grits. The shrimp and pompano were both cooked to perfection and not overdone. We ended our meal with Baked Alaska. It took a bit longer than we or our waiters expected, but they were very hospitable and kept us informed. It was worth the wait, and the staff was kind enough to decorate the dessert for my birthday and include a birthday candle. Thank you to Brian and Bryce for taking care of us and ensuring our family’s experience was of the highest quality and elegance without the stuffiness. Our seven-year-old daughter loved the elegant dining experience, and we appreciate Brian and Bryce for making her feel like royalty yet comfortable. There’s no doubt we will return again and again.

Antoine’s certainly lived up to their reputation. Excellent service, food, and amazing dessert. Oyster Rockefeller was best appetizer in New Orleans. I will be returning soon.

Outstanding Creole cuisine in New Orleans’ oldest restaurant. The service is professional and the menu is expertly curated. A note, however. If you are out of certain liquor(Pappy Van Winkel, Macallan Gold, etc.) then UPDATE YOUR F’N LIST. Too much time was spent figuring out what the bar didn’t have in stock. A corollary to that is to keep drinks coming for customers who are ordering. The bar needs to get better.

Antoine's is over 140 years old and classic New Orleans dining. Large venue and crowded, so a little loud. Private dining rooms look amazing to book. Had the classic Pompano cooked to perfection. They ran out of their signature dish, French Onion soup. The French 75 cocktail is a must try, fantastic! Wait staff out performed the waiter but all in all very good service. The history packed into this place is like going to a museum, so after dinner go walk around the place. They have a dress code but clearly not enforced as several diners were allowed in with T-shirt attire.

Antoine’s is nothing special. It’s very dated and nothing on the menu is quality fresh food. It’s closer to cafeteria food. Don’t waste your money or time.

Our server, Becky, was exceptional! A second generation Antoine’s employee. She was knowledgeable, professional, and I hope she is there next time I come back. Everything was phenomenal!!!!

The service was excellent! I am a little disappointed that the oysters Rockefeller was not available. However, the charbroiled oysters substituted nicely. Delicious shrimp creole as well! Highly recommended!

We did not have a good dining experience at Antoine’s. There were a lot of empty tables, but they sat our group of six next to a very loud group of about twelve people. We could hardly hear each other. Our waiter disappeared for at least ten minutes after we told him we wanted to order a bottle of wine. We had to get someone to track him down. The food was good but a bit bland. No sauce on my fish. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

The worst meal I have ever had in New Orleans. The waiter and service were awful. The food was pre-made and mediocre at best. Definitely a restaurant that is "going through the motions". I have eaten at Antoine's several times in the past (years ago) and it was a good experience. This time it was a huge disappointment and I will not go back again.

Was looking forward to visiting this restaurant after not being here in many years. I have tried several other fine dining restaurants in New Orleans ttrip that were much better across-the-board. The fish was dry. The service was slow and overall it was just an OK experience. Maybe it was just this one night, But it didn’t hold a candle to some of the other places.

We ordered the classic fish almondine. The description said it had a light flour breading with almonds and brown butter. The fish was heavily breaded and fried and no butter sauce. While the fish was good, it was not what we were expecting for classic almondine and we were disappointed. Also, the ceiling above my husband was dripping water on his head. When we mentioned this to the waiter, he said yeah, they have been having problems with that. If you want a really good dining experience, go to GW Fin.

We came with the desire to appreciate the historic pinnacle of NOLA’s creol fine dining experience, and are greatly satisfied with our food and the white glove service of the wait staff. The only one star off was that in spite we made our reservation ahead of time and with many empty tables in both dining rooms, we were seated next to the restrooms where guests frequently passed by. We were both in our fine dining attire, and out of respect for and trust in this restaurant’s prestige, we didn’t make a fuss about our seating arrangement. It did leave a little off taste, which shouldn’t have been so.

The food as always was great However service was so so at best. My Asparagus was cold. And my wife’s carrots were non existent. When we told the waiter, he said no problem I’ll get more asparagus and the carrots that were supposed to be included. Great….however they arrived when we were more than half done with the meal. But I must say the food we ate was absolutely delicious. We have been there are several occasions, this is the first bad experience we have had

It was a lot of fun to be in the oldest family run restaurant in the United States. We also enjoyed the wine list. Our server and the server assistant were both really nice people.

Food and service were good. Menu was somewhat limited. We were disappointed that the menu didn't seem to offer much French food, for a restaurant that identifies as "French".

Our experience at Antoine’s was absolutely amazing! The food was amazing, the wait staff was incredibly attentive, and they made our anniversary truly special.

This waqs our first time to Anotine's and found it delightful. The Chargrilled oysters were so good we had to order a second plate of them. The seafood gumbo was good but we've had better elsewhere. But with the great jazz trio playing in the background and great service it made for a delightful experience.

We have been many time but perhaps not again. While the food is wonderful, the service this time was surprisingly poor. Our server abruptly walked away while taking our order looking for a pen, served the wrong wine to each of us, did not remember who ordered what (there were two of us), and we struggled to get their attention to her service. All not indexing many restaurants but not expected at a restaurant of this caliber

Great atmosphere and service. Food was delicious and we ended it with a Banana Foster.

Hosts were unorganized, impersonal and weird. Told us they would come get us when table ready, they never did. Then when we went to see if table ready they acted like they had never seen us before. We dressed for dinner because they said they had a dress code then they let people in with shorts and flip flops. Not worth the price.

We have been here before. This time it was awful. The French onion soup was excellent then over an hour went by and our food came out. We had the fish with Almonds and NO sauce was added and we had the pompano with no sauce. They did not bring the soufflé of potatoes. It took 30 minutes to advise the wait staff. Then they didn’t care. Took the potatoes off the bill. Said they couldn’t make them. It was a lot of waisted time! This restaurant should not be visited.
