Impeccable in every way. We have been dining at the best Italian restos of late and this one is superior in many ways. This is a gem. Had 2 pastas, a salad, branzino and chicken. Everything was excellent. It was truly an evening to remember.

We sat at the bar for the first time, and that's where I want to sit from now on. So much fun watching everyone cook, etc. The food, as always, was exceptional (it's just a big cut above most of the other top end restaurants in Los Angeles). The service was also spot on. Sarah our server, Arturo the Chef de cuisine and all the staff was excellent in providing the greatest experience. From Friendly and welcoming attitudes to the service such as wiping down the table and changing all plates and utensils between each course was impressive. And not to mention the food was super delicious. Everything on that menu is a hit!!!!

We always enjoy our dinners at Antico Nuovo. We usually sit at the Chef's Counter for the two of us. There's plenty of room and somehow gives us a little more privacy- because many of the tables is communal sitting. The ambience is very warm but calming. Food is great- not too big of a menu and great wine list.

Expected more. It was okay, but I can’t say I’d want to come back. The pate was too sweet. The focaccia was good but it got a bit heavy after a couple bites. Main entrees were decent.

Charming ambience, very friendly server, and good food. The bread alone is worth the trip. While the food doesn't measure up to the quality of food in Italy, no restaurant in the USA can do that, it's not their fault - this restaurant tries their best and the result is as good. The only criticism I might have is that the host (a tall woman with curly hair) is not especially friendly, seems unable to smile, and perhaps not best suited to be the person welcoming you as you enter, but that's a minor flaw in an otherwise enjoyable dining experience. We had the bread with whipped ricotta and pistachio pesto (delicious), the lemon ricotta pasta (good, but very lemony, it was nice enough), and the fish (perfectly cooked, with olives, it was also nice, though not super memorable), and two ice creams (both very good).

Starters and service were great but second and Main did not meet Expectations. service was fantastic, but the food was dry, and the flavors were not as expected. We were hyped up on the dishes and definitely were oversold on the dishes and had high expectations that were not met. We took the 9:30 reservations and were sat at 9:50, and were then told that the kitchen was coming to a close. Getting to the end of our meal, while still having 6 tables seated they turned on the lights and giving us the feeling of needing to wrap up and leave..

Small portions, pastas were OK, pork ribs so salty almost not edible, overall food was very average- either bland or very salty. Def not worth the price point. Great service was the only saving grace

One of my favorite Italian restaurants. It’s a hidden gem. The table bread and chicken are a must. Oh… and the honeycomb ice cream!! You can’t go with any of the pastas.

The tomahawk steak lived up to its billing as one of the best in Los Angeles. I think it was better than Bestia's, personally. The rare inside maintained some "fleshyness", along with its richness, that I really appreciated, and which was a perfect contrast to the wood coal-fired exterior of the steak. As an enjoyer of quality meats, this was a 10/10 experience. For my 31st birthday, my fiancé gifted me with a very exquisite dinner at Antico Nuovo. For me, the focaccia took the cake as an absolute 'must have' item. The fluffy outer crust and the soft, scrumptious inside took me to another world. I also loved our server - she took some time to warm up to us, but once she did, we joked all night long about leaving our lives in the USA for a carefree existence in Tuscany. Wee sat at the bar - what fun! The cooks shared samples with us, and struck up a lovely conversation about the preparation of the Tomahawk steak (described above in great detail - which is my fiance's contribution :). Oh! And how could I forget, the bone marrow & mashed potatoes. I took my first bite and stored that taste in my olfactory photo album forever. We can't wait for the next visit!

The food is incredible. Each dish is unique, and the flavors and textures are thoughtfully coordinated. The wine list is amazing and perfectly complements the menu. A knowledgeable and hard working staff made for a very pleasurable dining experience.

Very special restaurant. Something to be cherished. Loved every single component of our experience. Order everything, so fun talking to our neighboring tables. The menu is beyond excellent from beginning to end, service is perfection from valet to “to-go” bags.

Wonderful meal and great service. The pasta is fabulous I love the lemon pasta but all the others are great as well. I had the lamb tonight and did not love it. I am a chocolate fan and the chocolate ice cream was rich and creamy . Easily could be shared by two or three people. Save home to the desserts. The cannoli’s ( they give you two were creamy and light quite tasty. This is my third time the hostess and host are friendly and all the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful in making suggestions. Can wait to go back.

My favorite restaurants usually execute simple things incredibly well. This restaurant fits that bill perfectly. Simple should not be confused with a lack of sophistication in this case, as every dish we had so many layers of flavor and texture. Just a true joy to dine here.

Food and vibes are pretty amazing. Got the focaccia, caeser, two vegatarian pasta, tomahawk and pistachio ice cream. Last time I went we get a lot more steak in the tomahawk. It felt like they gave half this time.

Ambiance is great! The place is rather small but very cozy, white walls with framed mirrors, hanging copper pans and open kitchen. Service is very good and attentive. Expect rather limited selection of wines, mostly from South of Italy. We did find a good white wine: Veneto Bianco Secco Ca' del Merlo from Quintarelli Giuseppe winery - excellent wine. Also had a bottle of Amarone of our own with $50 corkage fee (warning!). By the way! Expect no cocktails at all! Food is fantastic. Everything we tried was delicious. Especially focaccia with duck liver pate - exquisite. Yellowtail Crudo - not bad. Of pastas, tortelli - lemon, ricotta, marjoram, pine nuts was my favorite - tasting so subtle! Delicious branzino - dry aged, olives, capers, lemon. You got to try la bistecca “tomahawk” - 1kg dry-aged black angus ribeye, marsala jus - one of the best tomahawk steaks I have ever had, although somewhat overpriced. We will be back to try "pollo e crostone" - chicken roasted over focaccia, salsa verde. Experience good chef!
