Exceptionally delicious food. The sizes of the meals were perfect. The service was absolutely great. The music was a bit loud but that didn’t affect my experience negatively. I will definitely come back the next time I am in Berlin. Thank you for such a nice evening!

I usually don't write reviews, but this time there are some points which should be objectively shared. I booked the table ten days before, just to be sure to find one available, and once arrived at Anima we discover that our table was settled before the reception, and so between the hotel and the restaurant. This mean we didn't heard anything except the conversation we had, being in a listening bar would mean expect to listen the live music and this is was exactly what moves us to book there instead of another place. We had a little misunderstanding with the waiter about the wine, but the fault was mutual so I prefer to not focus on this. Well, about the food, a disaster. Just two main plates, octopus (served in a bowl so difficult to eat) and the steak which wasn't a real steak but just sliced meat really hard to eat (so I guess the quality was very low), no vegetarian option (just a vegan one, a cabbage with parmesan on top so nothing special) . The prices are in line comparing with similar venues. I would no recommend Anima for a dinner, maybe just for a drink to enjoy the view from the terrace.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, es lohnt sich drinnen zu sitzen, weil der Ausblick an die Spree doch nicht so atemberaubend ist, dafür aber die innendeko sehr schön. Der Service war ungewöhnlich gut. Das Essen selbst war unterschied gut. Das Brot mit Butter war exzellent, der Rest gut, geht aber besser. All in all ein schönes Restaurant zum snacken und snacken😉

Anima was perfect for our date night. The ambience is pleasant and conducive to conversations, the view of the river is perfect and the food is limited but good. More importantly, our server knew his wines and gave us brilliant recommendations. I could make this one of my regular restaurants.

Zu Beginn wurden wir freundlich begrüßt und zu unserem Tisch geführt. Die servierten Portionen, besonders die der Vorspeisen, sind für die Preise sehr minimal gehalten. Die Hauptspeisen dagegen waren etwas größer. Allerdings ist die Musik viel zu laut für die Uhrzeit (20Uhr) um Gespräche zu führen. Außerdem wäre es hilfreich gewesen, bei der Reservierung zu erwähnen, dass der Tisch zeitlich begrenzt ist. Denn während des Essens wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass bald wir zahlen müssten, da der Tisch in 15 Minuten wieder neu vergeben wird. Nach Aufforderung zum Zahlen haben wir aber mehr als 30Minuten auf die Rechnung gewartet, die uns schlussendlich nicht an den Tisch gebracht wurde, sondern wir wurden gebeten zur Kasse zu kommen um dort zu zahlen. Sehr schade, da die Location sehr schön gelegen, gemütlich ist und unter anderen Umständen zum Verweilen einladen würde.

Love everything of the experience! The music is a great selection of underground ambient and downtempo gems. My favorite dish was the prawns, they were so delicately fried and the sauce was just insane! The natural white win was also delicious, I can only recommend the greek Little Troublemaker.

Nice vibe - very instagramable, if you like that! Nice food, but have to admit that the portions are identical to a gourmet restaurant. The same goes for the prices in comparison to the amount of food. But do not get me wrong - everything we ordered was really good and tasty - even the bread - but just not enough food for the value of it. There was a nice playlist going the entire time, but in my opinion a little too loud. The lobby of the restaurant smelled great but could be a problem for sensitive people, since it was quite strong and in dominance of the entire space. The service was great and I was really happy to have experienced the place by the time I left!

Ziemlich kleine und dicht geplante Location. Nettes Design, aber sehr eng. Anlage super, Musik allerdings sehr laut und auf Dauer zu „free-jazz-lastig“ was Unterhaltung gestört hat. Sehr freundlicher Service, haben aber zu lange auf den Hauptgang gewartet obwohl nicht voll war. Essen an sich absolut köstlich. Durchwachsene Erfahrung, würde persönlich nicht noch Mal hin aber schön da gewesen zu sein.

Anima è un locale minimal che si trova all'interno del Locke hotel nell'est gallery a Berlino. È tutto perfetto, però i piatti rispetto al loro costo sono troppo costosi e scarni.

Ein schwer zu findendes zu Restaurant. Es lohnt sich, es zu suchen. Sehr angenehmes Personal, leckeres Essen und gute offene Weine. Einfach ein besonderes Erlebnis mit Blick auf die Spree.

Went on a tuesday, which is the ‘jazz night’. Thought it would be a chill place, but the music is so loud that it is impossible to have a conversation. Also the tables are packed closely together so you hear all the other tables trying to scream over obnoxiously loud jazz. The cherry on top is that we sat for 30m without being served. Wont be back.

Anima truly felt like a cozy corner in Berlin, a place I'll cherish in my heart. From the moment I stepped in, the warmth of the music and the curated wine selection enveloped me in comfort. beautiful bar with great ambiance and lighting. was there on a Tuesday so could only sample snacks but the bread & butter, nuts, cold cuts and cheese platter were good. lovely selection of wines. The negative for me is that it gives of the vibe of being a hotel lobby a little bit - they should separate it from the hotel and create a separate entrance and that would improve it. also they could do with a coat check as we had nowhere to put our coats. but overall really liked it, really beautiful bar especially for berlin and the service was lovely, also unusual for Berlin

Essen ist lecker, allerdings hat man nur für eine begrenzte Dauer einen Tisch, bis die nächsten Gäste kommen. Das ist bei dem Konzept (viele kleine Speisen zum Teilen) eher ungünstig und man fühlt sich gehetzt. Auch bei der Preisklasse erwarte ich, dass man so lange sitzen kann, wie man möchte, solange man etwas bestellt. Der Service war in meinen Augen überlastet mit zu viele Tischen. Nachtisch kam um 20:20 Uhr und um 20:30 Uhr sollten wir den Tisch für die nächsten räumen.

Ambitionierte Preise und Ansprüche, leider dann auf zu vielen Ebenen nur mittelmässig. Schade, schöne Locations, auch hübsch eingerichtet. Hipster ist super, als Bar wäre es sicher sinnvoller.

Amazing drinks and the servers were super friendly. The place was wonderfully designed. All in all it was a really great expirience and i would reccomend going there to everybody. It was a perfect evening.

Die Lage ist perfekt und der Ausblick ist entspannt. Anima ist aber eher für Drinks geeignet, da die Auswahl an Gerichten klein ist und vor allem für Vegetarierer/ Veganer nicht geeignet ist.

Everything, except the service was every good. The food and drinks are highly recommendable. But the service was awful. They didn’t really check if anything is missing or if you want to order anything else. So As a guest it felt like you have to go to the bar on your own to order etc.

Stepping into Anima, I was immediately captivated by the sleek designs paired with breathtaking waterfront views. The ambience is uniquely crafted with a boutique sound system, thoughtfully curated music played on vinyl and cosy lighting. We sampled an array of dishes and each complemented the next, making our dining experience an absolute delight. Their list of natty wines also caught our attention and was a pleasant surprise for wine enthusiasts like us. The staff was super friendly and attentive which truly elevated the experience. Anima has quickly secured its place as my top hangout in Berlin

My experience was exquisite. I went there mainly because I’m a sound aficionado, and I was pleased. You can hear the beautiful selection perfectly, while still being able to have conversations, even if sitting in front of their beautiful speakers. The pop up menu was exquisite, and service excellent.
