Anepalco is a modern Mexican restaurant located next to ALO Hotel in Orange, California. Our restaurant combines traditional Mexican ingredients with a modern twist. We focus on bringing flavors from all regions of Mexico to your palate. Come and try our famous chilaquiles, organic handmade tortillas, Huitlacoche Octopus tacos or al pastor tacos for lunch. Visit us for dinner where the menu gets sophisticated with a Agua Chile Negro, Chichilo Mole, Short Ribs Barbacoa with chochoyotes or Pork Belly Tacos. Treat yourself with a dessert like corn cake with nopal ice cream or an amazing Horchata Strawberry Cheesecake.

Anepalco have a great variety of Mexican wines from Valle de Guadalupe in Baja California, and specialize in tequila and mezcal craft cocktails. Come and join us for a great dining experience by Chef Daniel Godinez.

First time visitors. 1. Had to give my credit card for a reservation of 5. It also asked my reason for the online reservation which was a birthday celebration. But there was never an acknowledgement of this. 2. Chilaquiles were good, but were missing toppings. 3. Torta cubana- was too soggy. Give it 2 stars at best 4. Tacos- were excellent. Loved the home made tortillas. 5. French toast- was ok. Too overwhelming sweet.

The food was delicious and there was a variety of options. I went with someone and we got the carne asada plate, and green enchilada plate. It was good and the steak was cooked perfectly. They also had cocktails if you wanted them. Lastly, the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff was helpful and courteous.

We made a reservation to dine at Anepalco. Once we arrived and were seated the service was decent other than the water was not very helpful or accommodating. The food arrived after a bit of a wait and it was ok I suppose. The Mole was good but the other dishes we had with our group were ok at best and arrived cold. which was a let down. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day.

Very nixe and quaint restaurant attached to the hotel on the corner. Very delicious and flavorful food. The building has high ceilings ands beautiful decor. Nice big bar. Outdoor covered seating as well. Would recommend to anyone wanted to try elevated Mexican dishes.

Service was exceptional. App trip was awesome. Carne asada came out raw and chewy (asked for medium) Carnitas plate was great. Only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because with two drinks its was $133 and I feel the carne meal could have been better.

The food was fine but overpriced. The space was small but loud and it was impossible to have a conversation with a party of 9 because you could only hear the people right next to you.

Came for dinner for the first time because we had their breakfast and it was so damn good but dinner..the food was bland. It’s like they don’t believe in seasoning . I got one of the trios.. steak was bland and burnt , enchilada was dry and only contained chicken with NO CHEESE.. taco had 0 flavor

Wow! What an experience! Walked in a few minutes early for our reservation and were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Our server was awesome, polite, and very helpful when choosing our menu items. 😀 Chips and salsa arrived. Whole fried corn tortillas are staged in a cute spiral holder. The three salsas were unique and delicious. Wife ordered a spicy drink called Spicy Y Flaca. Tequila, cucumber-problano, and lime juice. Very spicy and flavorful. I ordered their Tónic-O. This used Brokers gin infused elderflower liqueur, lime juice, Topo Chico, and tonic water. So amazing! Wife ordered the Not PA'ella. This dish was outstanding!! It was full of shrimp, calamari, mussels, ribeye, chicken, chorizo, cotija, and poblano rice. My entree was the Maine Lobster Enchiladas. Two enchiladas stuffed with Maine lobster meat! With green salsa, cream, cabbage, cotija, rice, beans, and Oaxaca cheese. Our finale was this gorgeous flan. Topped with toasted shredded coconut. 😋 😋 When the check was dropped off, it was in this little drawer. How cute!!??

My family and I (7 adults and 3 kids) had a great time celebrating my mother’s 72nd here, we alllll enjoyed our plates of food! I ate the chicken mole enchiladas and would definitely recommend them. Thank you!!

Ambiance was wonderful. Parking good, service excellent, food and mimosa flights excellent. Guava french toast, lobster enchiladas, huevos dvorciado and all eggs dishes were delicious and not predictable.

The location was small but very nicely designed. The drinks preferably the margaritas were fabulous, the staff was very friendly, the service was spectacular and the food was really good!. The meat was cooked to perfection, the sides were delicious and the overall presentation of the meals was excellent!. I do believe we found our favorite new Mexican restaurant!!!!

Loved the food and service ! We had appetizers four different meals we all loved our food !Was a great find the drinks so delicious, our waiter was suberb! The issue I have is I’ve used open table for years love the ease and many times look fie reservations using the app but now no points are given at certain times you make the reservation. This has never been an issue but now one must look and see if you get the points ? This is new to open table . So not sure who is driving the issue the restaurant or the open table app. Not the same as it’s been for years !

We thought the food was good..not great, not amazing. Our tostada chips were slightly stale…this was our initial experience as they were served with our salsa and our ceviche. The seating is a little tight, especially when you’re seated against a wall. Was worth trying , not sure about a second trip back.

When we arrived at 630pm it wasn’t too noisy but by 8pm it was very loud given the acoustics. Food was delicious but spicy for some of our party. The short rib and calamari were delicious. I’d go back but make sure to finish my meal before the crowds come in.

Our waitress was truly incredible and her daughter was so sweet and helpful! Our waitress was so welcoming and had incredible recommendations. The Margaritas were beyond! I would go back o it if we have this same waitress again! World class! Me Gusta Mucho!

Really enjoyed our meal. The food is truly innovative; not your typical 'smashed beans and rice' place. We had eight people, shared plates, and not one dish missed the mark. Can't recommend Anepalco enough. As a bonus, we were very wishy-washy on how many people we'd have for dinner. The hostess and staff were totally flexible and took care of us. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. They really took care of us. Really a great experience.

The service was great. The food was lovely and the strawberry margarita pitcher was fresh and delicious. It was a nice escape from the busy tradeshow floor.

The drinks and appetizers were fantastic, but the portions were small. The dinner dishes were mostly a miss and overpriced. Ordered the chilled relleno and it came with one pepper, stuffed with barely 1 cut up shrimp and some chewy beef (both underseasoned); at $28 it definitely under delivered. I was expecting much more since the apps were very tasty.

Great friendly service and outstanding food. Two servers helped me, both were attentive with smiles and not intrusive. Had the guacamole, and the Strip trio. The food was well seasoned and tasty, the steak so tender I could cut it with a butter knife.

The food was absolutely excellent, and the servers were attentive but not intrusive. It was perfect for our family with our 4-yr old son, as the atmosphere was very lively. We had a wonderful evening.

I loved the vibe to the entire restaurant, very cozy and modern. The services was outstanding, my table was checked up on frequently. I ordered the ceviche as an app and it was amazing, it had cherry tomatoes and grapes which added a nice touch and combined the flavors well. I also ordered the enchiladas divorciadas, the only complaint there was that the lobster was not fresh, it had a fishy flavor to it which i did not enjoy, but the filet mignon enchilada had a good flavor, the meat was a bit too overcooked for my taste but it was still good. I will defiantly be back to try more dishes and see what else this place has to offer. 9/10 recommend.

I took my wife here for a year-end date. The table for two was too small for the two appetizers we ordered, and the menus foe us to decide which entrees to order. The chairs were uncomfortable as well. Our bill plus tip was $167.00. Our server was great, and he had some great suggestions for us. We ordered the Calamari, which was served nice and hot, and was not greasy. I also ordered the Pork Belly Chicharrons, which came with organic corn tortillas. This dish was also served hot, and the dish was not greasy. We decided to order the Not Paella, and my wife and I shared that as a great suggestion from our server. We order dessert to go. Overall, the ambiance was average since it is connected to a hotel. Our only issue was the small table for two and the uncomfortable chairs.
