Our appetizer cart will roll to your table to start your dinner with over 10 bites beckoning to be picked like our fan-favorite smoked carrot paté or sunflower seed hummus. Interesting shift from Parachute to Ukranian. We enjoyed every dish that came from the kitchen. The wine list features only eastern European wines so it will take some tasting and experimentation to figure it out. We will be back soon.

Food was absolutely incredible. I have never had Ukrainian food before, and this was truly an experience. The menu has all of the classics, but with highly elevated presentation and flavors. There are also exceptional options from a wide range of areas nearby as well, like Serbia, Croatia, Uzbekistan, etc. Cocktails were out of this world! Only downside is, like other "experience" restaurants, it's obscenely expensive. $250 for two people means we can only go maybe once a year -- but it sure makes for a bangin' birthday or anniversary treat!

Everything was so tasty. Love the Stuffed fried olives, and the ribs. Great cocktails. Cute space.

Phenomenal! First ever dining experience at a Ukrainian restaurant and I absolutely loved everything about this place! Two colleagues joined me and one was Ukrainian (this was totally random...I booked because it's a sister restaurant to Parachute). She helped navigate the menu choices and every bite was delectable! I cannot believe what I have been missing! Wonderful!

Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, delicious food. We had a great time. A little spendy, but it’s worth it. The cocktails are very good. diners should note that the wine list is all ‘natural’ wines. We had an excellent time.

Hostess was poorly trained. We arrived and asked if we could sit outside on a beautiful night. Restaurant wasn't busy, but she wouldn't answer how long we would have to wait to sit outside. We had to refuse to sit at our assigned table until she finally told us it would only be about 15 minutes for outside. Bartender was brusque and not helpful when we asked about drinks. Our server was fine but did no introduction of herself or the food. The menu definetely requires explanation. I completely support hiring Ukrainian immigrants to staff the restaurant but they need training. I blame this on owner/manager not the individuals. Food was really good. Very creative and unusual without being weird. Unfortunately, I don't think place will survive because it wasn't full on Sat. night.

Came to experience food by Chefs Beverly Kim and Johnny Clark, not having tried Ukrainian cuisine before. We loved every bite! Apps we tried: trout roe tart, Korean spiced carrots (our favorite), sunflower seed hummus, bread (not your average bread!). Poltava Halushki - kind of like a steamed bun with chicken and mushroom filling, and a decadent white sauce. Borscht was delicious and comforting. King oyster mushrooms were meaty and satisfying as were the beer braised pork ribs. For dessert, the flourless poppyseed cake was surprising - not very sweet, more herbal. Kyiv cake was delightful. Only downside was the volume of the music was exceptionally loud for us, had a hard time hearing each other. Loved seeing both chefs in the restaurant when we dined!

We read the menu before coming to Anelya and weren’t sure that we would like the unusual ingredients in dishes that we were used to. But WOW!!!!! Every dish was exceptional! Some favorites were : sunflower seed hummus, borsch with duck and pears, varennyky, ribs, and the banosh. We shared 3 desserts, the poppyseed cake, the sorbet and the custard- all delicious. The drinks we had were all good , we especially enjoyed the shot of horseradish vodka and the red Armenian wine. To sum it up- a wonderful place to try new tastes of traditional food with wonderful service! Bravo!

Delicious! Creative take on the chef's grandmother's recipes. The stuffed cabbage was particularly delicious!
