It was very loud - people and music made conversations difficult. Servers were fantastic! The “shareable” items on the menu were great! Disappointed that the menu was somewhat limited to tacos and a couple other dishes. And the Margaritas were good but served in a Margarita glass - so very small. Overall it was good - depending on what you are looking for.

Love the vibe and energy, great music, and fantastic service! The food was amazing - we ordered a bunch of items to share and enjoyed everything that we tried. Can’t wait for the rooftop patio to open! Definitely a new favourite spot!

Andy, our head waitstaff for the evening, was absolutely amazing. She was engaging, personable, hilarious, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and provided superb suggestions on the menu items not to miss. She, hands down, made our evening superb! And dinner was great too: Spicy, flavourful, and remarkably enjoyable.

Went here for lunch. Very nice ambience. Service was very good. The restaurant looked good inside. We had the lunch special - with two tacos and a mini guac. Had the chicken and pork tacos and my wife had the mushroom. All were very delicious. Even got a complimentary churro at the end since it was my birthday. All in all a very good experience.

We had a wonderful night at Anejo. The guac and chips were fantastic and the drinks were delicious. Food service was quick and efficient. The only downside is the music volume! I’m all for great music but it’s way too loud especially for the dinner hour. Turn it up in the evenings but when I can barely hear the server standing right beside me … it’s a problem.

The food is impeccable. Our waitress was kind inviting knowledgeable and funny. Even despite the restaurant having technical difficulties that night. The experience was still a 10/10. It was our third time there and our best meal yet!

This place is a special little new Gem in the Brewery District… the staff are amazing, the food is fantastic and the Margaritas are simply awesome and we are always treated so well! Can’t wait for the rooftop patio to open up so we can enjoy many more fabulous days this Summer!

Service was just right- atentive but not pushy. Table guacamole is great. The coconut margarita wwas lovely.

The food was so delicious, tasty and spicy. Complimentary tequila shot for birthday. The staff were by far some of the best, attentive, explained all the menu items.

Great experience! Andy if there is one thing they should do is have everyone be as engaging and knowledgeable as you! The recommendations and the service was what made the experience worth the price of admission. The food is absolutely worth the tough reservation. Table side Guacamole was flavoured well with hints of garlic and spice! The Salsa Crudo was spectacular, my personal favourite of the night. The Quesa Birria is a must have, the majority of the tables I witnessed were ordering them, and for good reason! While very tender and rich, the meat was not greasy as can be the case with Birria, the broth was concentrated but not salty or too heavily seasoned. This is not an easy feat as reducing and concentrating the broth can often result in too salty a taste. Clearly this is their signature dish, as its balanced flavour and richness were perfectly paired with pickled onions, fresh onion, lime and cilantro to season the consommé to your preference! I look forward to the evolution of their menu in the coming years, as Mexican food and its regional specialties will translate well to their skilled chefs and servers. 9.39 rating Great Plates Edmonton

We didn’t get a chance to try the delicious looking food. We made a reservation 3-4 weeks ago and when we arrived the only table option for us was a table sat 1/2 inside and 1/2 outside. We didn’t book a table on the patio and weren’t not dressed to be sitting outside in April. We said we didn’t want to sit at the table and after a few minutes they told us that was the only option. We chose to left. It’s incredibly disappointing when you make a reservation to get the “worst” table in the place. Also if siting outside is an option that should be a choice when you book a table.

Great food and service, nice decor. Music unnecessarily loud and like many restaurant/bars all you can hear of it is the bass anyway. Too bad.

We arrived at 6:00 pm for our reservation for 4, and at 7:20 we were asked to leave as the restaurant had another reservation coming in. We had ordered desert just prior to this, so our order was already put in but the dessert was not even at the table when we were told that we had 10 minutes to wrap up. Less than 90 minutes is not enough time for a party of 4 who ordered starters, drinks, mains, and deserts to be able to sit comfortably and enjoy our meal. The server told us this was policy, and we could move outside if we wanted to stay (not really a valid option in my opinion on a windy April evening) and no one told me this policy when we booked or else I would have booked elsewhere (Edit: In fact, the policy on OpenTable states parties of 4 will be reserved for at least 2 hours, so I think they overbooked and tried to rush us out because of that). Just generally felt very rushed as the server also tried to take my plate before I had finished my meal earlier in the evening as well. Would not recommend to a friend because of this experience even though the food was nice.

Would have expected a better table than one in the far corner of the restaurant if making a reservation, very loud, couldn’t hold a conversation with my dinner partner because of the noise. Prices great for happy hour, otherwise it is very expensive, tiny margaritas for $12!

Our waitress was INCREDIBLE. I forget her name unfortunately. She was so nice and so good at her job. The food was top notch. We all loved the white hot mayo.

Foods always above and beyond. Drinks are fantastic. Staff is very friendly. It is a rather noisy place but I can’t find anything bad to say about this spot. Grateful we had one open up in Edmonton.

Delicious food great atmosphere. The carnitas is soooo good. A little overpriced but that’s just the way it is now a days. Restaurants have it rough and I’m happy to pay for food this good.

the atmosphere was fun and lively, and the wait staff was very knowlegable about the menu and drinks We started with an prder pf tableside guacamole, and cocktails which were fantastic. however, that is as good as the experience got. The entres we had were pork carnitas and the scallop esquites. The pork in the carnitas were nearly flavorless, and saturated in oil. The scallops were undercooked, overcooked and unevenly cooked. We were then rushed through the remainder of our meal bybthe staff member, who was overly concerned that we pay the bill before they clocked out that we weren't even asked about dessert. We did wind up getting the Tres Leche. the cake was good, but not having a lighter whipped cream icing instead of a heavy cream cheese abomination was a sad way to cap off the meal. It was a Dos Leche and cheese. The prices are also out of line. If you look around online at other restaurants in Edmonton, you can find the same spirits on the menu for almost half the price. The food was also overpriced. Thirty-five dollars for five scallops and a small amount of corn and chorizo dust was a kick in the gut. Once the rooftop patio is open, Anejo will be a great place to have a beer and Guacamole. I'd skip the meal next time.
