It did not appear to be very busy yesterday evening. Our waitress, while very kind, was not very attentive. No one ever got water refilled in their glass. We had to ask for ice for the sparkling water twice. She took quite a while to take our order. Not sure if the restaurant was short staffed or not. Everyone at the table agreed the sushi did not seem as great as expected or as the reviews have shown. Overall I don't believe any of us will be visiting one of the locations again.

Food amazing, however they overbook every time. So, expect to wait a40 min at least ,beyond the reserved time.

The service at this location was really disappointing. It was so slow that we were there for over 2 hours getting 3 rolls and wine. When we shared we were unhappy with the service, the waiter blamed it on Mother's Day. The manager ended up making it better by giving us a discount, but overall the experience makes me never want to go back.

So loud it was ridiculous. Hostess was overrun with people. Had to wait for a reservation Food was good but expensive. Service good. Nice ambiance. Louder than a rock concert. Bring your earplugs.

My first visit! Service was great, food good my only criticism is the noise level, it was a Friday night and very busy. Really liked the fact all seating was booths! Very warm inviting atmosphere with dark wood and goodlooking bar.

The food was good. They must not have had enough servers ours had 4 tables that were all sat at the same time. We never got soy sauce after asking 5 separate times and waited 30min before we just decided to eat. We would have ordered more drinks but never got the chance. Overall it was ok but not worth the price when you can get the same food elsewhere.

Very chaotic restaurant that frequently over books reservations. Each time we have been here they have been too busy to have good service which is disappointing for the price you’re paying.

This was a great dining experience all around. High end Asian Fusion/Sushi that was creative and delicious. Service was next level (even brought out a hand typed Gluten free menu for one of our party). Atmosphere is upscale but not stuffy. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Dallas.

Everything great except the restaurant was freezing and it was extremely loud could barely hear the person I was there with and my waitress. Food was very well priced and everything tasted great otherwise

I love Anchor. I had the best time, as always. The hostesses last night were kind and accommodating—shoutout to my waitress, who was amazing, Destini. Keep shining. You made my date night memorable and exciting. I can’t wait to return.

So the atmosphere was very nice. Great ambience and we’ll definitely go back for the ambience and proximity to where we live. Some food and drink items were exceptional (lychee martini was excellent and they had a decent bourbon selection (Blanton’s)). The Best roll was one of the “best” as well. However, edamame tasted very bland (not sure if they forgot the chilis??), the hamachi ponzu (yellowtail heaven) was pretty plain and we’ve definitely had better at shinsei, oiishi, etc. Waygu fried rice was pretty good but nothing amazingly special. Service was not great. Our guy seemed super nice, but very green. (Didn’t know the cost of a pour of bourbon, didn’t check on us much, etc.) Our food ticket was lost so there was a lot of waiting. They apologized which was nice. The biggest downer was at the open sushi bar/kitchen. Our table was across from them so we could see everything. Well, one of the chefs had gloves on, texted on his cell phone, placed the phone back in his pocket, and kept using the same gloves to prep raw fish. RAW FISH. I lost my appetite thinking of how dirty our cell phones are (people take them to the restroom sometimes 😬) and how he used the same gloves he was handling his phone with to prepare sushi. I’m sure we’ll go back for the environment, but it wasn’t the experience we were expecting. :( Maybe it was an off night? I do hope that the head chef educates the cooks to definitely use good hand hygiene though! 😬😬😁)

Absolutely wonderful! We made a reservation, did not have to wait to be seated in the slightest which I always love being taken care of on the dot. Our server, Mary was outstanding!! She had a printout of everything that was gluten friendly so our group didn't have to think too hard about what to order for our friend ho has a severe allergy. They didn't rush us at all, and allowed us to sit at the table until closing just catching up and having one round after another. Definitely a new favorite!

Ambiance and food were excellent. The server made us a little nervous as she warned us the kitchen was backed up and didn’t know how long it would take for food and drinks to come.

To be called a Sushi bar is a joke. The venue was extremely loud. They did not have a table ready for the reservation and it was the worst value for money iv3 had at a restaurant in a long time. TLDR if you want sushi go somewhere else.

Service when the restaurant filled up was not good. I was at a table for 4, 3 of us got our food and the 4ths arrived 15 minutes later after asking about it twice. Also didn’t get the appetizer we ordered. We were never approached by a manager.

Very nice local spot. Large space with a nice bar and plenty of seating. Food was really good. A little on the pricey side, but most sushi resturants are.

All the supposedly prepared hot food was served cold, over cooked short ribs, sushi uninspiring, just not a good evening. Maybe Sunday the chef was off?

Party of 7 attended. Sushi rice was like undercooked & easily fell apart. Halibut was sent back because it was overcooked & something like Miso sauce. Not good. Drinks were very good

Pleasantly surprised by the quality and creativity of the food at this place. Being from Vegas I’ve eaten at a lot of excellent Japanese restaurants and have usually been a bit disappointed at Japanese restaurants outside of Vegas. The food was innovative and tasty, the service was good, and the ambiance of the restaurant was refreshing as it was more of an upscale American themed restaurant rather than your typical Japanese decor. Would definitely recommend.
