Our server told us a few items had been added to the sushi menu- We tried the weekend roll and spicy tuna roll- neither was good. Our server also told us that the rolls are not traditional Japanese style. Ok, but still not good! Also, I know the name is Anchor, however do not like the plaid carpeting and overall feeling of being in a ship- very New England to me, not Dallas.

Always a good meal at anchor bar. The service is consistently good. I think their wine selection and toro could be improved. But that wouldn’t stop me from coming back.

Our party of 7 ordered a good cross section of the menu. Every dish was very good or great. We particularly enjoyed the coconut chicken salad and the new fried chicken bao. One of our crew even ordered the Tokyo Burger and proclaimed it one of the best hamburgers in town. The only downside was slow service - over two hours. Regardless, we'll return soon.

Delightfully attentive service at the bar and our table. We had some first time guests which made sampling across the entire menu a real sampling treat for them.

Fun restaurant with delicious food. Sushi rolls were interesting and tasty. The filet and the sea bass were delicious. The interior and bar are inviting and cozy with the booth seating. Feels like you’re eating in a boat in a Wes Anderson film!

This is a lower review than I usually give to Anchor Sushi Bar. I was there with my wife and two of our friends. Everyone loved their food except me. I had two pieces of Yellowtail nigiri and four pieces of Hamachi nigiri. While the fish was fresh and great tasting, the cuts were bad because they were stringy. I could not bite half of the sushi without it coming apart because of the stringiness. This was true of one of the Yellowtails and all four of the Hamachi. It was very disappointing. I did not convey this to the waiter but probably should have.

Excellent restaurant, food is good, ambience is beautiful. Food comes out quickly. I would like to see a little bit more selection on the menu but what we’ve had to eat in the past is just amazing. Pear martini is the bomb!!!!!!

It did not appear to be very busy yesterday evening. Our waitress, while very kind, was not very attentive. No one ever got water refilled in their glass. We had to ask for ice for the sparkling water twice. She took quite a while to take our order. Not sure if the restaurant was short staffed or not. Everyone at the table agreed the sushi did not seem as great as expected or as the reviews have shown. Overall I don't believe any of us will be visiting one of the locations again.
