Anatoli Souvlaki was opened by Helen & Thomas in the spring of 1984. They had a dream of combining the food of Greece with great service to add some Mediterranean style to the North Vancouver restaurant selection. They opened in the sleepy neighbourhood of lower Lonsdale and lived above the restaurant to ensure the quality and service. They were able to create a North Vancouver staple, a successful thriving restaurant based on faithful patrons and a reputation that has been passed through generations.

                                  Food was good as usual, but it’s gotten more and more on the expensive side. Also, even in the lower dining room, the noise was unbelievable. We could barely hear ourselves, let alone our server. We’ll be going next at a quieter time.

                                  So good! Loved the trio dip tasters. Chicken skewers were tender and juicy. Lamb was super tender too! Will definitely come back. Our server was really sweet and made sure to check in with us

                                  Excellent patio seating! The servers were happy, courteous, attentive, and respectful. The hummus and moussaka were outstanding in appearance and taste!! The 7.00$ beers compliment the meal and are served in frosty glasses. We will be back!!

                                  We requested to be seated in the front section of the restaurant but when we arrived no tables were available. I didn’t make any fuss about that but about 10 minutes of being seated in the back, the manager came and apologized profusely and told us that they are in the process of clearing and cleaning a table in the front and asked if it was ok for us to be seated in a couple of minutes to my requested area to which we said absolutely yes. We were also presented with a calamari appetizer to make up for the delay. Everything was excellent and tasty with good service, thank you

                                  I would suggest to the chef to reduce salt in their food The salad and the pasta of our lamb dish but tasted quite heavy in salt. Otherwise the flavors were acceptable. Also a suggestion to clean their grill more religiously. As the pita bread had black burnt bits on one side. And the ventilation was lacking as a deep fried smell was hanging in the air. Staff very friendly though. And great location foe tourists who want a quick bite after walking on the dock.

                                  our server was absolutely outstanding!!! he divided up our portion into two since we were sharing. we sat on the patio in the beautiful sunshine and devoured our delicious hummus and mossaka. I love 7$ trash panda thursdays!!

                                  We had a fabulous family birthday dinner at Anatoli! The food was wonderful and the service was just amazing. Thank you so much for making our celebration so special! Highlights included the souvlaki and the baklava! And the sangria is always out of this world!
