The Levant is the place where the sun rises, geographically it covers the region bordering the eastern Mediterranean Sea. This region hosted a vast variety of cultures through history creating what is now known as the Levantine Cuisine which is the specialty of Ammatoli.

AMMATOLI is distinctive and extraordinarily fresh and healthy. We use only the finest quality ingredients, honoring the traditional recipes and exotic flavors from the cuisines of the Levant... and served in a warm and welcoming ambiance!

Our Mediterranean influenced kitchen gains inspiration from the best cuisine the Levant has to offer. Our fresh creative menu items are always made from scratch. The result is a cuisine that is tasty and exotic. Levantine food is the epitome of the Mediterranean diet, healthy food, high on vegetables and big on flavor!

The food was incredible. I went with my family and we order the feast. Service was quick and friendly, but the food was truly delicious.

We had been meaning to try Ammatoli for months. Shouldn’t have waited so long! We had lunch on a Sunday. Though the restaurant was fairly full, the host, wait, and management staff were attending to diners in a super gracious, perfectly paced manner. Our server answered our many(!) questions patiently. The mint iced tea, eggplant appetizer, and pita bread were standouts. Everything was delicious. Beautiful restaurant with a low noise level due in part to acoustic absorbers. So very happy you’re in Long Beach!

This clean, modern, and bright restaurant is beautiful. The menu offers something wonderful for a wide spectrum of diners. Ask your knowledgeable server for details on items you may not be familiar with. Do order appetizers and wine. Spend time savoring the dishes. It's a little noisy, but that's OK since you will likely be stuffing delicious morsels in your mouth. The fried cauliflower, beet hummus, and falafel are easily shared by 4 people. The French Bordeaux wine was an excellent accompaniment. The Lamb chops, Chilean sea bass and Palestinian chicken dishes were superb. Take a stroll past the baked pastries and cookies before you order dessert. One warning, the Turkish coffee is nothing like American coffee. It's super strong and feels like silt. The green tea is more palatable. Reservations encouraged if more than 2 people. Easy parking in the 3rd St. parking structure a short walk away. First 2 hours are free.

Aesthetics excellent. Food amazing. If it weren’t for the rude hostess (overweight w glasses) or its policy of keeping people waiting outside (despite being sat at the same table that was empty when we arrived) until reservation time, it’d get 5 stars. Would’ve just left but had a hungry kid to feed and more inconvenient to find something else. When finally sat, it was much better. Despite the amazing food, the initial treatment by the hostess stuck in my mind and marred the experience. 1st impressions matter. Don’t worry, I won’t be back.
