The best award-winning steakhouse in the area! Worth the drive from Banner Elk (13 miles), Beech Mountain, Sugar Mountain (30 minute drive) , Johnson City or wherever you are. Americano Steak House is a local, veteran-owned restaurant featuring hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood, amazing salads, 1/2 pound steak-burgers, decadent desserts and the only full liquor bar in the East Tennessee mountains will over 100 wines by the bottle and glass.

We kindly ask that you do not show up early for your reservation, but simply on time. We are a small, boutique steakhouse that focuses on exceptional food and incredible service in the mountains of East Tennessee and typically cannot seat guests earlier than their reserved time.

While we have always discouraged them, our policy towards no shows/same day cancelations MUST be firm. No shows and same day cancellations are the plague of the industry and we ask of you to uphold your end of this commitment as we are thrilled to provide on our end.

                                                                                  Food and service were excellent...as always! Eaten there numerous times and have NEVER been skunked! The steaks were properly cooked, seasoned wonderfully, tender and tasty!

                                                                                  Both sirloin steaks served at our table of 4 were tough. To have excellent steak was why we went at such a price. Music by Jace was great.

                                                                                  Americano Steak House is our frequent choice for dining out. It is a great for steaks, chicken, and seafood. Thursday night prime rib is a huge favorite. The wine list is rather extensive. The service, the welcome, the drinks, and the specials menu are all well beyond expectation. On this evening we opted to try the bread pudding with ice cream and a special sauce. Wow, oh what a treat. Americano Steak House …. Give them a try and your will not regret it. (Mmmmmm bread pudding!)

                                                                                  Dinner reservation was for a special need 10-year-old boy and his mother. The table was to be 1 chair and 1 wheelchair. The restaurant was not crowed at all. The hostess seemed to be overwhelmed even though it was not super busy. She was rude to the 10-year-old boy who was trying to learn how to treat his mother and women. He was in charge of telling the hostess the name of reservation etc. The table was not ready and that was fine, but she had to tell them that they were early anyway. Now let me tell you they were 4 minutes early. This was also a part of a young man learning responsibility. If you have a reservation, be on time. He was the one in the wheelchair and as they approached the table, he was following her and the extra chair at the table had to be moved and she snapped at him that he needed to move out of the way. I am the grandmother to this boy and I had arranged all of this early for him and even called to confirm prior to Mother's Day. My grandson did end up telling his mom that she reminded him of Cruella. The food and the atmosphere and waitress were absolutely amazing, and I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone. For the owner, first impressions are everything and you have worked so hard to make it beautiful establishment with the best steak around. I would highly recommend extended training on just plain ole common sense curtesy. We will return to your fine establishment and hope to be greeted by a smiling, calm and personable hostess.
