I only had I issue and it is a minor one. If it's your first the there, you probably won't be able to find the entrance. Other than that, great food. The sushi chef was talented and had great communication.

Absolutely one of the best and most interesting sushi experiences ever. The food was amazing, so fresh with perfect combinations of flavors with every bite. The experience is so unique sitting at a 6 person sushi bar in a high end car showroom was also something we could not have imagined. The chef Hideo was so nice and so pleasant, he is so knowledgeable and skilled at his trade. We were the only 2 people at the bar and had amazing service. I would highly recommend, this is something not to miss if you are in the area

A sushi bar in an upscale car showroom? An interesting concept and worth checking out. The sushi chef is very personable and his sushi is creative, artful and delicious! Loved the uni butter that was flame-melted onto the sushi. It was quieter than I thought it would be since there were no cars starting up while we were there. It's a 6-seat sushi bar so very intimate. You definitely leave wanting more.

The best omakase I have ever had!! Pretty much private chef experience. As fresh as the Tokyo seafood market can send and expertly prepared. Foodies rejoice! Priced as excellent value.

今までのお寿司屋さんに行った経験の中でベストなエクスペリエンスを体験することができました。お寿司の味はともかく、寿司シェフのHide Sanによるおもてなしの数々、言葉では伝え切れないほどの素晴らしい体験をさせていただきました。たくさんの方を一緒にゲストとしてお呼びして来店させていただきましたが、どの方もこちらのお寿司屋さんの大ファンになりリピーターをしているようです。こんなに暖かいお寿司屋さんは初めてでした。これからもずっと支えていきたいと思わせてくれるお寿司屋さんでした。ありがとうございました。これからもよろしくお願いします。アマテラスさん。

Went for lunch on a Thursday with my wife. There are six total seats at the counter and we were the only ones. I do not think it will be like that for long as the sushi was delicious and the price was reasonable. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Absolutely recommend!

Great price and high quality nigiri. Chef offering 12 pieces nigiri lunch Omakase. Parking is free on the ground floor. We will definitely come back.

great location. quiet ambience. Chef served fresh and delicious sashimi. best one was saba, flounder and ebi with uni garlic butter that was torched. i wanted more. i have told friends that live in Honululu to check out as well as travelers i met along the way.

Excellent omakase sushi. Chef Hideo very creative. From simple clean flavors to rich complex flavors. Contrasting textures and temperatures makes it more than just dinner but, an experience.

One of the best (or maybe even the best) omakase courses I’ve even had. Hideo is a master at what he does and the intimate setting matched with the world class food is unmatched in Hawaii. A must go!

We were the only customers for lunch from 1130 to 1pm. The sitting area was fairly quiet. The dining area clean. The presentation marvelous. And Chef Hideo provided the name of each seafood served. For the price, each dish had superb taste, the presentation was simple, and worthy of us making a repeat Reservation.

Each sushi made me smile - so delicious! Such quality at a reasonable price. The chawan mushi in the beginning set the tone - you knew the nigiri was going to be good and the soup at the end made sure you were returning. Made my next reservations and looking forward to it!

Casual setting sushi bar since locating inside a symphony 1st floor next to MW cafe and car dealership. But don’t underestimate!! If you want to try real Sushi experience with not too high end setting sushi bar, this is the place to go. It is “Omakase” style but if you have allergies you can ask chef Hide to some modifications. (Great idea to communicate before walk in) If you would like to enjoy extra sushi, feel free to ask Chef Hide. “Shari” (sushi rice) is very tiny size so you can enjoy Sushi without filling up with rice. Drink is come from MW cafe side. It’s only 6ppl counter space. 5pm and 7pm And lunch time

Excellent omakase! Chef Hideo San was a very pleasant host, non assuming but very talented & polite. Seating was intimate allowing for personal sharing as we joyfully enjoying each price of sushi!

A wonderful omakase sushi lunch at Amaterasu. Chef Hideo is very creative with his menu and his skills were on full display for us to enjoy. We started with a delicious hot seafood chawanmushi topped with snow crab. A course of 10 nigiri sushi followed, each selection of fish was imported from Japan. The one exception was his creation of Kauai shrimp with garlic uni butter. So delicious, unlike anything I've tasted before. Another selection I've never had before was halibut Engawa (fin meat). He prepared it by lightly torching the meat, then topping it off with a small dollop of Japanese radish and scallion. Again, delicious. All other selections of sushi were thoughtfully crafted and prepared with various types of tare, salts and toppings. We finished with a small bowl of seafood broth base miso-shiru with fresh wakame. This was my second omakase lunch at Amaterasu. First time was with my brother-in-law and this time with my son. Slight differences in menus, both delicious. So happy that he's now using OpenTable for reservations. It makes it so much easier to book a seat at the six seat counter. Highly recommended.

We came in for the lunch omakase and was extremely impressed. Loved the creative details chef did. I will definitely be coming back.
