Enter into a nostalgic area, the Amalfi coast, yet in the heart of Buckhead. Open six days a week for dinner, Amalfi Cucina & Mercato is a traditional Neapolitan restaurant centered around a wood-burning brick oven imported from Italy. Led by Executive Chef Santiago Echavarria, Amalfi's authentic Italian menu includes Neapolitan-style pizzas as well as authentic appetizers, fresh salads, traditional pasta dishes and original desserts. Cozy up in a spacious booths or have a seat at the bar to enjoy the view with a signature cocktail.

Highly disappointed. Arrived here for a Friday reservation around 6:45. The place was completely empty and that should’ve been a sign to leave. The staff was just huddled in different areas of the restaurant lounging and talking. The place REAKED of cigarettes smoke (this has been complained about in other reviews, I’m not sure if it’s because the establishment next door or what), but I feel like a place with a wood fire oven that serves Italian food should smell like pizza and garlic. My husband ordered the frozen rose and this man has never not finished a drink in his life and couldn’t bare to drink it. I tried it and spit it out, it tasted nothing like rose just sickly sweet like a watermelon jolly rancher. At this point I’m panicking if we should leave and go have dinner somewhere else. We ordered the margherita pizza and chicken piccata. The pizza- sooo soggy and the crust was burnt (don’t know how that can happen at the same time) the sauce literally hurt to swallow it was like weirdly acidic. It was just weird The pasta- the chicken was lack luster, the sauce was broken when it came to the table with an inch of oil over cream. For $70 it was a total disappointment, definitely will not be back. The service wasn’t bad, but Olive Garden can put out better cuisine than this place. Edit: The restaurant responded to my original review saying that they were working on the air and that’s why there was the smell cigarette smoke, but other reviewers had the same issue. They also said they hoped we removed the dishes we didn’t like from the check, but our server never checked in on us and it would’ve been removing the one drink we got, the one pasta and pizza spilt making it a free meal… how would that even work?

Good afternoon and thank you for leaving us this review. O am aware that we were working on our airconditioner that day and we had our front door open and I apologize if the cigarette smell from next door bothered you. It truly sounds like nothing from the beginning to the end was to your liking and I hope that you informed your server or the manager on duty about that so that they removed those items off your bill. We strive to satify all of our guest and I have to apologize for your reason and know that I am currently working wioth all chefs to improve the consistency of our dishes

Such an unfortunate situation… we always end up going back for the food and convenience of being next door to the massage place but will not return again. The server was rude and the manager did not seem bothered by the poor service. (Server: white girl with long curly hair)

Those situations are never what we strive for when visiting Amalfi here in Buckhead. I will bring this up in our daily discussions to remedy such experiences here at Amalfi. Thank you very much for informing me about this unfortunate situation

We were new to this restaurant but were looking for something close to the Atlanta History Center. We only had time for apps and drinks but we will definitely go back. The food was delicious and our service was awesome. Love the atmosphere and decor. Truly an enjoyable hour.

While the food was satisfactory, the quality of cheese and meat appetizer didn't quite justify its price. Cocktails were decent, but a touch stronger would have been preferable. Unfortunately, the service fell short; we had to request water, and dirty dishes lingered on our table despite the lack of busyness. Overall, it was an acceptable experience, but unlikely to warrant a return visit.

Very nice decor. Great music. Ambiance very lovely. Food was very tasty. We had fried calamari, fried mozzarella, chicken Marsala with risotto, chicken parmigiana and pistachio tiramisu. All dishes were excellent. Definitely recommend and will go back. Next time for pizza.

I was excited to visit this restaurant after reading some of the good reviews but the food had no flavor and no seasoning. And the pizza was undercooked.

Second time in but different location. I like the vibe of the downtown location but overall still great service, good food, and the wait staff was phenomenal
