Amada is a tapas and wine bar on the southside of downtown Chattanooga. "Amada" is a female name of Spanish origin meaning beloved/loveable woman. We serve traditional Spanish plates that honor the seasonal, local ingredients of the area while celebrating southern simplicity and hospitality.
Our Mission: Do right and exceed expectations.
At Amada, we lead by putting people first. We strive to provide the best possible dining experience for our patrons while showcasing Spanish dishes, wines, and techniques. Amada's beverage menu displays signature sangrias and cocktails, a Spanish forward wine list, and local beers on tap!

Join us to Toast, Taste, and Donate on June 20th in support of Chattanooga Room in the Inn! Chattanooga Room in the Inn is a local shelter for mothers, their children, and pets that are experiencing homelessness. A ticket purchase includes champagne charcuterie hour, a three course meal paired with wines from female producers, a $30 donation to Chattanooga Room at the Inn, and gratuity to Amada Tapas staff. *Please report any allergies or dietary restrictions to amadatapas@gmail.com upon ticket purchase.* Cocktail hour begins at 6pm and the wine pairing dinner will begin at 7pm.

Food was great but the service was very poor. The bartender appeared to be our waiter and the hostess seemed removed from supporting him. This caused slow service as he had to continue to make drinks. We were one of 4 tables. We ordered all the items on the menu to give our guests the opportunity to taste new things. The food comes out as ready but we only were provided one small plate for the entire experience, meaning we had to continuously put new food over remaining sauces, etc. It’s a shame - needs better staff management.

I want to personally apologize for your experience. Marking a table with new plates between courses is our standard during steps of service. We have addressed your review to the wait staff & promise to do better. We had some tech issues that day and our front of house manager may have appeared disconnected from the floor while trying to resolve this issue. With this being said, "behind the scenes" problems should go unnoticed by our guests and I apologize that your experience was effected. We love Amada Tapas! Off the beaten path, with a neighborhood bar vibe, it’s fun place to share delicious Spanish food and wine with a date or good friends. Be sure to try the endive as well as the octopus!

Had never been here before and learned the owners are a family.. mom, daughter, and dad. They were SO nice and after leaving we were outside taking pictures and the dad came out and thanked us for coming. It’s hard to come by nice dining downtown with personable owners. I LOVE supporting locals and esp ones that are thankful! Can’t wait to go back with my husband. Side note- food, drinks, and server were awesome!

A very nice tapas lounge with excellent bites and drinks. Lovely atmosphere. A bit hard to find with gps but found it easily when we just relied on our eyes.
