A family owned restaurant with locations throughout Northern Illinois, offering a tapas-style inspired latin fusion cuisine of classic dishes with infused new flavors from Spain, Mexico, and South America.

The menu is designed to share, our dishes are presented in a tapa-style. Pair your meal with our house sangria, craft cocktails, or our local beers.

We always enjoy dining at Altiro and last night was no exception. The Cinco de mayo paired down menu offered enough choices and while our server was new, she was lovely & the manager very attentive . if i could offer 1 suggestion it would be to expand the bar options to include wine.

The servers are professional, friendly and helpful. We started with the trio guacamole and papa brava. Both excellent. The papa brava is the favorite. Very flavorful. We then had the ravioli with shrimp, tilapia with slaw, and the beef, el alambre. One better than the next. You really can’t go wrong with any of these! And the mixed drinks are creative and delicious. The margaritas are of course terrific. Everything they prepare is so full of freshness and flavor. We’ll be back soon!!

Our food was good. For 4 tacos the price ranges from $16-20. It is an expensive meal. We sat upstairs in the new area. It is nice up there but our table was right outside the bathroom. Not ideal.

Ate in Wheaton. Our server was a delight and gave us attention. Asked for mor corn chips. What I was not happy about was my Paella . Such a small portion of Paella with Mussels added around edge with bread slices around bowl. Covered with Raw cabbage slaw! Slaw was not needed. Oh and can we talk about ever shrinking Gauc trio!?!! I swear a tablespoon of each. Not sure if it was just an off night or the difference between Wheaton and Geneva. Never had a bad meal in Geneva Altiro.

Went for tapas, everything showed up same time and no fresh plates. That said, every single dish was wonderful and we Will absolutely return soon Next time we will request staggering

Leave room for the dessert called Gloria. They are 4 small round pastry puffs with a sweet tart key lime filling with a strawberry atop each one. They are so good and the presentation is fancy. I would go there just for these although all the other food is good too.

First time at this quaint restaurant!! An absolute gem!!!! The staff was so friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable!! The food was some of the best we have ever tasted!!!!

Food is authentic, and reasonably priced. Some is a bit spicey for me, but my friend liked it. I enjoy having this restaurant in Wheaton.
