The food at Alpana is always amazing, the service is great and knowledgeable, and the decor is wonderful. Tonight we also found out how allergy-friendly they are. Our son has a sesame allergy, and it's been very hard to find burgers with buns that have no sesame lately (bakeries have actually been adding it to recipes so they don't have to deal with the risk of cross-contamination). Not only is the brioche bun at Alpana an actual, sesame-free brioche, but our server went above and beyond to make our son feel welcome and help him understand what he could and could not eat. Very grateful for the kind and thoughtful service - we'll be back again soon!

I had three British guests for dinner at Alpana, and it could not have been more perfect. Dan our waiter was funny, kind and knowledgeable. The food was terrific and sitting at the outdoor cafe on a Sunday warm night in Chicago made it all delightful. thank you so much.

We went for Mother's Day brunch , prefix menu. Food was pre made and warmed up . Avocado toast was not crunchy (thats how u can tell it was seating there ) served super simple with no presentation of any kind . Rest what we ordered was also very avarage . Mediocre experiance .

The service and attention to our satisfaction is above 5 star! The cinnamon roll and croissants are the best anywhere. Wasn’t crazy about the entrees this time which was a surprise. They’ve been better in the past. Maybe today was an off day.

Celebrated Mothers Day, we are from out of town. Lobster Bisque was very good. I ordered the chicken marsala, it was under seasoned and over cooked. The polenta was a weird add to this dish. Green beans under seasoned. Husband had sea bass and was happy with his choice. The restaurant is really unique and the service was great.

Perfect place for Mother's Day Brunch! My mom was so thrilled to see Alpana greeting guests as they arrived! #chicagocelebritysighting The restaurant is gorgeous and the service was impeccable. Some of our dishes were a bit bland, but I'm chalking it up to a busy holiday with a prix fixe menu. Quiche was DELISH! Will definitely come back for dinner!

The food was ok but not good enough to make me return. We were seated in the outdoor patio area, it may as well have been a basement dungeon of a different restaurant. No decor, a makeshift covered outdoor patio contraption from the pandemic era, I assume. Had I known we'd be seated there, I would have picked a different restaurant.

Alpana never disappoints!! Had a friend in town who is a true Wino- -so fun place to go. Food was awesome and great wine selection. John was waiter and he is always super friendly and helpful! And bartender Derrick is awesome too!!!

Squid ink pasta, short ribs and cauliflower were all delicious. We also had salad, focaccia hamachi and carrot cake which were also good. I will be back and my companions agree. The only thing I wasn’t fond of was my lavender gin drink. Pretty boring when compared to my dining companions. An enjoyable evening

I am still thinking about our dinner. It was absolutely one of the top 10 dinners I’ve ever had. We started with the crispy polenta and wild mushroom - WOW!!! For the mains we ordered the salmon, short ribs, and sea bass, sides included brussel sprouts, asparagus, and truffle Mac and cheese. Everything was divine!!!! I am already planning our next dinner back here. Service was excellent as well!!!! 10/10 recommend!!!

Alpana is a wonderful restaurant. Excellent wine selection, as you would expect from Alpana. But the food matches it, both in excellence and in meeting the wine in interesting ways. I also appreciate how vegetarian friendly the menu is, with an entire optional vegetarian menu. You don’t see that often.

Our party of five arrived for an early Saturday dinner seating on the patio. I had recommended the restaurant to friends and hoped it was an ‘on’ night. Alpana lived up to my expectations. Everyone loved the food, wine and desserts. It was a wonderful fun evening made even better by the professional service of Lisa and staff. I recommend Alpana for anyone looking for well prepared food reasonably priced ( compared to some other restaurant menu prices) plus the feeling that they care which is sometimes hard to find these days dining out.

Have a great bunch at Alpana. They were short staffed so Alpana was our hostess, waitress and bartender. Biggest cinnamon roll I ever had. My only complaint is the "salad" that came with the quiche needed a dressing on it. Plain arugula and some tomatoes does not a salad make.

Alpana is definitely one of the prettiest restaurants I have ever been to. It has the most gorgeous interior with a lot of greens and plants and art that just make the whole place seem a bit intimate and very elegant. As soon as we got there, we started off with the house-baked focaccia which came with a sun-dried tomato dip and a herbed butter that was so delicious. The bread was airy, light, and divine. Next the two pastas—pistachio pesto and spicy tomato—were so good and so creamy. They were unbelievably and quite deceptively filling so we were in a bit of a food coma after that. However, we didn’t let that stop us from ordering dessert which was a salted caramel sundae that had rich flavors and a crunch to die for. Overall, the menu is extremely vegetarian friendly, and they actually have a purely vegetarian version of it so you don’t have to worry about finding something to eat here even if you’re vegan. 10/10 recommend and soooo worth the price. I was quite shocked when the bill came, to be honest. Everything from the vibes to the food is so good here; can’t recommend it enough.

While our food was very good, we found the service to be--fine. And the prices very high. $10.95 for bread is rather extreme, in my opinion, and everything else went up from there. Venison was $50. It wasn't outstanding enough to want to come back.

Our waiter was amazing and the food was delicious. I seriously wanted everything on the menu. We did bottomless mimosas for brunch and they truly kept them coming. Also one of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had.
