Long before there was a boardwalk, friends Alonzo Cothron & Berlin Felton’s original establishment was a fish house. Boats would pull up right outside and throw the fish straight in!
We’ve changed a little since then, but the most important thing remains the same - guests can still kick back and experience the freshest, locally caught seafood in one hand, a cold beverage in the other, soak in the view, and watch the world go by.

The food was delicious but way too much food. We ordered two dinners and should have ordered only one and shared.

Our waitress was having a tough time w some real jerks , in spite of that she was attentive and engaging. We really enjoyed Alonzo’s ,again , we have been several times and always good . The fact they take reservations and honor them makes it a great choice !

Wait staff was great. Oysters were very good. Lobster roll was ok but I’m from New England and use to a good chunky lobster rolls and this was very small ground up lobster.

Happy hour was a great value for dinner with many favorites to choose from on menu. Loved sitting at dockside table people watching and seeing the all the sail boats and yachts. We always look forward to dining at Alonzo’s when in Key West!

Most importantly, our food was delicious. We had coconut crusted grouper and the whole snapper. Loved them both, so I’d say that we have no regrets going. On the downside, I felt like everything was just a little bit unkempt — dirty floor tiles, old floor mats everywhere, and the tables were cluttered with sticky bottles of hot sauce and dirty salt and pepper. The marina location is amazing - great to look out and see the boats and smell the ocean. But this place could use some visioning and higher standards.

We have dined here a few times. It's a lovely spot, with a good menu and friendly staff. I've never had a really bad meal and sometimes the food is really good. However, I would say that most of the food falls somewhere between very good and just ok, depending on what you order.

We heard many recommendations from locals of this restaurant so we had to try it… My daughter and I EACH ordered a 12oz steak and I think both of our orders put together added up to 12oz. Steak was overcooked contrary to our temperature request. I ordered an old-fashioned and after a tiny sip, found it disappointing— a dash of bourbon, a lot of citrus and quite water-diluted. Yeah, far from decent. I asked immediately that it be replaced with margarita. Btw, I was charged for the old-fashioned. Was disappointed by our first dinning experience, sorry, not a fan.
