Alobar Yorkville is tucked along a pathway in Toronto’s Yorkville neighbourhood. It puts its foot forward as a cocktail bar, but it is a full-fledged Michelin starred à la carte restaurant, offering choice seafood with the finest accoutrements, fish and chops off of the charcoal grill, and world-class wines, all served with genuine hospitality. Alobar Yorkville boasts a comfortable courtyard patio merging warm skies with ice cold cocktails during the summer.

    The Salmon and the Fuccili was great. The steak was good, the Banana Cream Pie was excellent. Service from Max was amazing.

    Food was pretentious, wedge salad had huge lardons of ham where crisp bacon would have been so much more tasty; lobster starter had so little lobster I couldn’t find it. Main course of confit ham with papardelle pasta was tasty but not sure if I like new trend of having to shred the meat myself before mixing it with the pasta. In process food became colder. Cheesecake was simple, generous serving and tasty. Seated outside, this was a people watching experience in Yorkville.

    Very kind server and host….let me change tables when I asked but not before looking at other prior bookings which is a very fair approach, and one that I’d appreciate (shoe being on the opposite foot;-)

    Amazing restaurant, the duck pappardelle, beef carpaccio were the highlights and should not be missed. Cocktails and dessert were also great. Service was impeccable.

    Sat outside, which is fun but dress warmly for May evenings. The food was excellent but the wine list by the glass could use some unusual additions. The choices were good, but they were fairly common regions that didn't allow for much exploration.

    Was a fantastic experience. My wife and I sat at the bar where we were entertained all night watching multitude of drinks being prepared by the sensational bar team. Service was superb. They made great suggestions and were very attentive. The food was extraordinary and delicious. Will definitely be dining with them again. See you next time!
