                                      The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend the catfish and spaghetti. The spaghetti was flavorful and the catfish was cooked to perfection.

                                      Food wasn’t good. The ribs were supposed to be to be eaten with lettuce but had the bone in them that I had to cut out, so it was very difficult to eat. The doubles were one note. The jollof risotto had no other texture but mush. The dry charred cabbage on top was a weird unnecessary addition. Catfish and spaghetti don’t go together. Spaghetti was made for a 5 year old with no depth of flavor. And we left the catfish on the plate. Very disappointed in this food.

                                      The three dishes we ordered were perfectly seasoned, mixing different textures and layering flavors of various products with distinct cooking points. The dishes appear homely, but I am sure they take lots of effort to be presented in this form. Almeida offers a delicious travel through the African Diaspora cuisines. Some flavors reminded me of the food of Bahia, a primarily black state from my home country, Brazil. Highly recommended.

                                      Almeda is a warm and inviting - you literally feel like you are in someone's kitchen! Wonderful menu. Only issue was that a couple of the dishes were a little salty for our taste.

                                      Tried the cat fish and alot of the small plates and everything was excellent. Did not order the chicken but the table next to us did and it looked great. Excited to go back and try it.
