As always, dining at Allora is a wonderful experience. We went for “Date Night”. The service, ambience, decor, and food were over the top. By far, our favorite dining destination in Sacramento.

The food was excellent. Not only was it delicious but the presentation was beautiful. The service was outstanding throughout the evening. For the ambiance, the food and the service the price was very fair. We will be back.

For some reasons the chocolate bombe wasn’t as good as last time I had it. The bottom part was a little dry. Other items were all good. I was also disappointed they got rid of the three course menu selections. I was very stuffed with the four course menu. I hope they will bring back the three course menu.

Still best restaurant in town. Inventive flavorful fare, with unique presentation. Only 4 course menu now though - I wish there was a dessert optional menu as a lot of rich delicious food!

This was an outstanding experience, truly one of the best in Sacramento. I love to eat. I love new food. I love getting suggestions here was so attentive and so knowledgeable and very polite. The staff had the most impressive memory recall, and when I even forgot that I had a lactose intolerance because it's new they were able to quickly modify my needs. The plating was outstanding, everything tasted out of this world.

This has been my girlfriend and my third time at Allora and it never disappoints. The menu was changed slightly from the last time we were there but nothing was left in confusion. They gave us a little time to look through everything and it was explained perfectly. The food is an absolute experience and everything tastes amazing. We will be back. This might be our favorite restaurant.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday. It was our first time. The service was amazing and the food was beautifully presented and was made with quality ingredients in a unique way. We enjoyed five courses and one wine pairing. We started with cocktails that were delicious. Highly recommend!

Thinking about the 'finer things in life' Allora would be at the top of my list. Everything was impeccable, from the service to the presentation of each dish to the extensive wine list. The quality of the food is especially noteworthy. For example, the duck confit had a perfect tender texture and taste that was memorable. And very filling (I've had friends say the portions were small, not true). The only drawback is that they are inflexible--no substitutions, no sharing (there is a steep cost), and no wine brought in from any winery listed on their 29-page wine list. And of course, the cost. Two 4-course dinners plus wine pairing including 20% gratuity (plus 3% for the kitchen) was $562.

The food was amazing and Caroline our server was excellent. She offered suggestions and the chef was outstanding tonight. Thank you for a delicious, celebration! Caroline made us feel very welcomed and we can’t wait to come back to taste what chef was preparing next!!! If you have a special occasion or just want to experience to remember this is the place!!!

We had a wonderful time. The food was stellar, but the service was absolutely a standout. Front staff and servers were very professional but also friendly and fun. We liked that they asked us about allergies/preferences in advance. Cocktails were innovative and special; and I tried a new-to-me lovely Greek red dessert wine. The seafood pasta was a star, as was the sous vide short rib. I can't think of anything that was even a little bit off, and I'm usually sort of judgy about food. Especially expensive food!

Most dishes were outstanding! And the personalized touch for our anniversary was lovely The quail appetizer was more breading than quail. My scallops were a tad too rare despite best efforts on the second attempt. We enjoy the creativity of the chef and appreciate the staff's commitment to fine dining which is lacking in most other Sacramento restaurants.

A truly wonderful dining experience. The food was fresh, innovative without being overly sauced or fussy, and well presented. Kudos in particular to the octopus with gnocchi and the scallops. The service matched the food. We were greeted warmly and ordered drinks followed by a very well informed description of the menu. After that everything sounded delicious. We also ordered the wine pairing and these came in the proper fashion, not just four glasses of wine but an explanation of what the wine was its character and why it was selected to be paired with that dish. Clearly a lot of thought went into this. The entire staff was attentive without being intrusive. Add to that the pleasant surroundings and it was a most enjoyable evening. We will definitely return.

Outstanding food and service. For such an outstanding restaurant, I thought the surroundings, the ambience, was sort of plain - is that the right word ? Might have expected at least a linen tablecloth ? From observing the garden room I think when warmer would be the place to be in that regard. This is more of an observation than a criticism; we had a wonderful time and I have already been recommending Allora to several friends. Another small suggestion would be to have available a glass of Brunello de Montalcino in the glass of wine segment

The food at Allora is special, the dishes are so creative, unique and delicious, that the dining experience is in another stratosphere! Adding to the pleasure of the meal is the attentive service and spectacular wine selections. The menu is in courses and the portions are perfectly sized to choose four dishes and a dessert. While it’s difficult to name a favorite, I can’t get past the Polpo and Lobster fettuccine. My husband also had the short rib, which melts in your mouth, and I love the black cod. Extraordinary meal!

We came back after a few years hoping for a better experience. We were disappointed. The service was not great and the food was okay. I’d be fine with this except it was over $600 (2 tasting menus, 2 wine pairings, and 2 cocktails). For that price it should be amazing food and the wine should add to the dish. Unfortunate as we were hopeful.
