Food was good, but the service was poor. We love the staff at Solarno’s, and feel like family when we go to the restaurant. But the atmosphere and courtesy at this restaurant was lacking. Our waiter was grumpy and rude and service was very slow. The food was good but our overall impression of the restaurant was not good.

Attentive courteous and efficient waitstaff, ample serving size, Marsala sauce above average, chicken breasts tender, Penne pasta cooked correctly in heavily salted water perfect al dente' texture a preference of most Italians, and the non-sweet sticky tomato sauce very tasty. Otherwise a very encouraging first visit, the next to sample the more difficult to prepare Italian dishes.

It had been a while since I last visited but the food was just as I remembered … fantastic! Our meals and dessert were tasty and the ambience was comfortable and warm! However, service fell way short!!! We requested extra pesto/olive oil 4x and never received it! I requested a spoon 2x and finally got it myself instead of asking a 3rd time! And no, the restaurant was not full, our waiter was not new, and there were no big parties! I’m not sure what the service issue was! 🤷🏻‍♀️

We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio, they closed Forest Ave to cars and all the restaurants have built outdoor dinning areas. They have heaters so it was pleasant. Great service , our server knew the wine list and menu. She helped us pick a reasonable priced Italian red which was perfect with our meatball appetizer and entrees we selected. We had eggplant parm which came with a side Caesar salad, and the Green Pasta. Highly recommend that new dish it's a homemade spinach fettuccini with an enhanced Alfredo sauce (pancetta , mushrooms and shallots). Great dinner.

my family and I had a great time at mothers day. The place was crowded. it seemed to be the busiest place in town. The service was excellent and so was the food. 2 thumbs up all around.

Dined here many times and always been very good especially with meats and cheese plate as an appetizer. This time meats sliced too thick and Gouda hard and dry. Pizza was great but lamb pasta was salty and not as flavorful. Probably just an off night- I will return since overall this place is usually very good.
