Situé 40 Brattle Street, à Harvard Square, le Alden & Harlow sert des plats américains réfléchis et honnête dans un espace souterrain, moderne et confortable. Cherchant à reproduire le style de cuisine qu'il prépare pour sa famille et ses amis chez lui, le chef Michael Scelfo prépare des plats humbles et sans prétention, qui honorent la tradition du lieu dans sa qualité. Sa façon à lui de se connecter avec tous ceux qui viennent manger à leur table. Bien que les réservations soient fortement recommandés, une partie de la salle à manger et du bar est également gardée pour les clients sans réservation, dans le cas où votre demande ne peut pas être satisfaite.                                                             Everything was incredible! Was a bit bummed their was no full bottle left of the Grenache (served by the glass) to get an entire bottle. The only very frustrating thing was that some door in the restaurant kept slamming VERY loudly to the extent it was startling and distracting, taking away from the otherwise amazing ambience. Isn’t their something you can install to make it close more quietly? It would make such a big difference for a pleasurable dining experience

                                                            Very pleased with meal and experience. Tuesday night, busy but not teeming, and we four were seated away from the back room, so noise level was bearable. Ordered 3 shares and 4 mains, and all were good or excellent. Pasta, Rabbit and Mackeral were great, as were plancha yams and the pancakes. Service was excellent.

                                                            Wow! They’ve definitely changed up the plating sizes to my absolute delight. Much bigger (and I’m sure a few bucks more) but it changes the entire value perception of the meal. My friend is gluten free celiac and the server went so far as to mark up the entire menu as to what would work and what could be altered. A win all around!

                                                            I realize it was Mother’s Day and the last brunch seating before break, but the experience was mediocre at best. Waiter took forever to get back to us after being seated. Food was OK, but our Shakshuka came as if it had been sitting under warming lights as did the side of bacon. The highlight was the cocktail of the day. Each of our entrees were too simple not to have been done well. Really no excuse

                                                            Forcing guests to share tables with other parties is a horrible idea. I made this reservation a month in advance and even that wasn’t enough to guarantee our own table? Instead we were treated to an in-depth tour of our neighbors’ political opinions.

                                                            Highly recommend eating at Alden and Harlow. The patio is quite peaceful and cozy. It was a lovely date environment.

                                                            Service was good, food was average and wildly overpriced for what was served. Chicken “nuggets” were dry, focaccia was so oily I had to wash my hands and face in the bathroom after. Braised beef was quite good but at $29 for a few bites, it was most certainly not worth it.

                                                            This was the best restaurant I have been to in a long time. The atmosphere, drinks, service, menu and staff were outstanding!! I just wish the table next to us wasn’t sooo obnoxiously loud 🙉 🙄. We will 💯 be back. Loved it 😋

                                                            Our first time here and it did not disappoint. Andrea M. was above and beyond kind, friendly, helpful, and attentive. She recommended some dishes that we ended up LOVING. We were headed to another event so we were a bit rushed so we plan on coming back soon and often. Highly recommend this restaurant.
