Highly recommend eating at Alden and Harlow. The patio is quite peaceful and cozy. It was a lovely date environment.

Service was good, food was average and wildly overpriced for what was served. Chicken “nuggets” were dry, focaccia was so oily I had to wash my hands and face in the bathroom after. Braised beef was quite good but at $29 for a few bites, it was most certainly not worth it.

This was the best restaurant I have been to in a long time. The atmosphere, drinks, service, menu and staff were outstanding!! I just wish the table next to us wasn’t sooo obnoxiously loud 🙉 🙄. We will 💯 be back. Loved it 😋

Our first time here and it did not disappoint. Andrea M. was above and beyond kind, friendly, helpful, and attentive. She recommended some dishes that we ended up LOVING. We were headed to another event so we were a bit rushed so we plan on coming back soon and often. Highly recommend this restaurant.

This is the best food in Boston. They take humble vegetables and make them spectacular. Every thing they make is delicious, surprising, and so well thought out. Would go every night if I could.

Great food and drinks in beautiful "garden-level"/basement setting. Tapas-style so there was a variety of delicious options to choose from, although with the prices being what they are we found the bill getting racked up quickly and the portions are not enormous (although this varies widely on the dish - ask your server for advice). Overall great for a special occasion or to have a nice cocktail at the bar but a bit too pricey for a regular dinner IMO.

The food was great! My only concern was that the waiter said that the portions were shareable and when everything came out they were pretty small (not shareable at all). It was a good thing my friend and I each ordered our own thing instead of sharing. It’s fine if the restaurant wants people to think that their food is a shareable size but if they want that, they also need to make the portions bigger. But the portions are perfect for one person.

We enjoyed the food and overall experience however the music was way too loud. We couldn't carry on a conversation without repeating and having to lean across the table. We asked if the music could be turned down a bit and it was for about five minutes.

Everything was amazing! All of the staff at check in, our server and additional wait staff were knowledgeable, attentive and made some great recommendations. Parking is a little challenging, but well with it.

The food was pretty mediocre. Rubbery bacon in the focaccia sandwich. Runny eggs even though we requested they be cooked. Salad dressing so tart, it was impossible to eat the greens. And they forgot to bring out my dish also I had to sit around for 20 minutes while the rest of the table ate their meal.

The handling of food allergies was amazing from the moment we sat down and ever person that interacted with us checked on every item brought to the table for me multiple times as well as bringing my menu to the chef to be customized for my allergies. Highly recommend! Everything was delicious

Really delicious, creatiive food. Service was extremely pleasant and efficient. I was welcomed as a solo diner, which should be a matter of course but sadly is not the case everywhere. I have marked the ambience lower than the food and service because it was extremely noisy. Being by myself, I happily read my book, but I can’t imagine having a conversation with a companion, and by the time I left, my ears were ringing and my nerves were frayed from the din. Instead of pumping out loud music, they should look to install some sound-dampening features, because that low-ceilinged space magnifies all noise terribly. And I didn’t like the music. I would go back, but only as a solo diner because when I go out with friends, we want to be able to have a quiet conversation and hear each other without shouting.

I have eaten at the restaurant many times since it opened. And always the food is enjoyable and very good service. BUT … We were seated in the oddest table. It was impossible for the table in the corner to be served without someone bumping into my chair. I would get up to allow the people seated in the corner to get in and out. I didn’t mind that but I did think that the constant bumping unpleasant and unnecessary. And could have been avoided by a more thoughtful arrangements of the tables.

Our waitress Becca knew EXACTLY what foods my husband with celiac could eat. Impressive and incredibly helpful! She quickly marked up a menu for him and told him what could be altered.

Loved this restaurant! Hidden jewel. We went there for brunch on a Saturday. We were encouraged by our server to order multiple share plates for our group of 8. Each dish was so flavorful and fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed each dish and the unique flavor profiles. We will definitely go again!
