I was prepared to say our experience was not so great as service was very slow and our waitress was not very attentive. We actually had to ask someone for her to get more drinks. She made up for the service by comping our appetizer and bringing a slice a cake so great service recovery. Food was very good as usual. We do tend to always get one of the tables by the front door so hopefully next time we are more inside the restaurant.

Brought my mom here for Mother’s Day, which understandable that the service was slow as they were busy. My mom had a food allergy that was disclosed and they said they made the meal from scratch but she still ended up getting sick.

Upon arrival, we were handed some menus and told to find a table outside. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas and an appetizer to start. The margaritas had no ice in them and the glasses had no salt. The fried mushroom appetizer was soggy and just tasted like grease.

We apologize that the glasses for your margarita pitcher did not have ice, however we do not salt our rims unless requested, as the cocktail already contains salt to mimic a salt rim. We appreciate your input and will use them to make improvements. We hope you might consider giving us another chance to provide you with a better experience.

Food was good as well as the ambiance, service seemed a little slower than usual and one entree was not entered, out of respect for this individual the table waited until they received their meal.

Delicious brunch board pastries, Mimosa flight and quiche in a beautiful room filled with plants. Our server was friendly and gave us answers to all our questions about the menu and sources for pastry. Definitely will come again, perhaps for dinner.

The best part about this restaurant is the ambiance. Our waitress was extremely busy. We waited a while to have our order taken and even longer to get our food. When the food did arrive, it was cold. We were there to celebrate a graduation so no one complained, but sadly, I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone visiting. Too bad because it is such a beautiful place overall.

Great brunch food! You get generous portions for a great price! The ambience was very nice. We celebrated our anniversary brunch here, it’s hidden gem for sure and highly recommend it!

Visited Alcove for lunch today with a work friend. Looking for a place to eat in the OTR and it looked good so decided to give it a try. Came for the Mad Tree beer stayed for the food. It was an unexpectedly great experience. No other words. It’s a large place with an indoor dining room, greenhouse area, and outdoor area. Perfect for lunch or dinner. Perfect for happy hour. Perfect for hanging out with friends on a sunny Saturday afternoon. It’s owned by mad tree brewing so they serve a wide variety of their local beers. For food, I had the peach and quark (farmers cheese) salad and the roasted lamb shoulder with red pepper and yogurt sauce and roasted baby potatoes (lamb was super tender and there was a ton of flavor from the sauce). Both were recommended by the attentive, personable server. My buddy had the fish sandwich (perfect thin, crispy batter) and the roasted and carrots with pesto (you’ll rethink what carrots can be). All great. Even the bread and butter was exceptional with the butter having the perfect amount of sea salt. This is a local gem. Run don’t walk!

My husband and I have been to Alcove numerous times and we went to try the new spring menu as our last pre-baby date night. We started off with the hummus plate, which was excellent! Then, we both had the roasted eggplant entree, which was truly incredible! It was seriously SO good! We finished off with sorbet for dessert, which was great, as always! We very much appreciate Alcove always keeping vegan options on the menu (or items easily made vegan with knowledgeable staff)! I hope we can make it back for more roasted eggplant before the menu changes!

Food was great, mainly went for the atmosphere and it definitely did not disappoint. Have been one other time with wonderful service but today seemed significantly slower. Overall I would highly recommend!

The roasted eggplant was AMAZING!!! So many unique flavors and spices blended together to create a truly mouthwatering dish. I also thought the peach and quark salad was super tasty. I was concerned the jalapeño vinaigrette might be too strong, but our server accurately described it as very mild and a perfect complement to the peaches. My husband had the Caesar salad and Braised Lamb Leg and said both were delicious. Definitely looking forward to going back!!!

Fun, trendy eatery in hip neighborhood. Sat inside but would choose to sit in ‘greenhouse’ next time. Brighter, airier area. Food was very good albeit quite salty. Server was as gracious and professional and when our bread board app was taking far too long to arrive, the MOD, Annie apologized and comp’d the dish - without our asking. That attention to detail says volumes about the establishments professionalism.

Had a very pleasant after-work dinner with 5 colleagues in the small semi-private nook at the back of the restaurant. It was excellent. The food was good, the beer was good, and the Alcove is great environment. I'll definitely go back.

Started off with the hummus plate which was tasty. Had the white linen drink…. It was quite sweet unfortunately but still good. We also had the lamb and roasted eggplant with a side of rice and veggies…. For all of that it ended up being $100 with tip. While it was good I’m not sure $100 meal worthy. Server was nice and was attentive with all tables she had going.

Unfortunately it took an hour after our reservation time for our server to take our food order. We did see she was dealing with a large party that split their check multiple ways. We understand the time that takes to accomplish, but someone could’ve helped her take our order. Two of our dishes were cold by the time the food arrived. We ate it anyway without complaint because we waited so long for our order to be taken. Wish the experience was better as we did like the place upon arrival.

The food was cooked well and very delicious! Their hummus plate is the best I’ve ever had and everything else was fresh and tasty! The drinks are well made. I suppose for some people it might be pricey but I think for the ambiance, service, food quality and the birthday celebration, it was worth it! Phil did a great job and knows customer service very well.

Sat in the Greenhouse, great service, loved the atmosphere. Cute outside area as well. New menu today, absolutely delicious.

We had a wonderful experience on Easter brunch with my whole family. The food was delicious the service was great and the ambiance was very light and bright.

We had a great lunch/brunch. Love the energy in this beautiful restaurant. Great ambience. Food and service was wonderful. Will be back often.

We had a nice dinner at a table right at front window kind of tucked away from hustle and bustle of the restaurant.

My food was mediocre. Brussels on the bland side, but cauliflower good. Curry and Rice was good buy Salmon was so overcooked. Ceasar salad did not take anything like a Ceasar (bland ranch like dressing). No anchovies taste, no parm, etc. Once we got our food and could not get servers attention for more wine until all my food was gone. Another at our table had the Mussels and they looked great.

Very friendly staff. Service was great! Food was underwhelming. Fried chicken sandwich was over cooked. Cauliflower app was bland as was the chicken pot pie. Stick with the burger- it’s always good or come for brunch!!

Service was wonderful and attentive! Food was excellent! Fresh, flavorful and filling! Perfect portion sizes and took chocolate cake slice home to enjoy! Amazing! Highly recommend!
