Such a wonderful atmosphere downtown. Overlooks the oilers watch party. Food is delicious! Drinks a yummy but more expensive than most other cocktail bars $18-24. For a special night out, highly recommend.

The ambiance is the only thing that saved this experience. The cheese platter was extremely small and underwhelming. It had two pieces of dry toast, no mustard, and 3 very small pieces of cheese. We had gone to watch the Oilers game and the tvs were small, the audio was not played and they could not be seen from most angles.

Always great experience. My only qualmis in the past when we've come there was never a TV set up with sports playing so we knew it was a great place to go that didn't feel like a sports bar. But we went, and there was a portable TV set up for the game. That was a little disappointing. But other than that food was great, drinks were great and service was good.

First time visiting Alchemy, however it will not be our last! Really enjoyed everything - the atmosphere had an amazing vibe, the cocktails and food were delicious and the service was terrific. Look forward to visiting again soon.

Love the rotating drink menu of cocktails at Alchemy. I still don't think I've ever tried anything I didn't love. And the bartenders are great about coming up with creations for you. "Oh, you like a Moscow Mule, but want a twist? I've got an idea. You're in the mood for something smoked but don't see it on the menu? We'll come up with something." I have no problem being a guinea pig for the bartenders to try new stuff on us. :) I didn't have anything to eat but one of our group had a hummus type type that others shared and they all loved it. Alchemy has a great atmosphere and is perfect for groups or dates where you actually want to carry on a conversation with others at your table as it's never too noisy. Also, great wine selection. Still one of my favourite places to take people visiting Edmonton for a few cocktails.

Alchemy Bar has become my go-to spot, thanks to the exceptional service of Manager Vally and Bartender Ren. Vally's warm welcome and attention to detail create a delightful atmosphere, making every visit a pleasure. Ren's expertise in crafting unique and delicious cocktails adds a special touch to the experience. Their professionalism and friendly demeanor ensure that each visit is memorable. I highly recommend Alchemy Bar to anyone looking for a fantastic bar experience. Thank you, Vally and Ren, for always going above and beyond to make my visits enjoyable.

Amazing staff, drinks, and menu…but we were the only table in the entire place. On a Saturday night. The lobby bar on the other hand was packed…and had a DJ 🔥

It’s nice, good food, kinda rushed (they told us an hour and twenty time limit on table) but I get it, that’s my own issue. Service was decent (friendly), but they are busy (book ahead). Food is really good (quick snack stuff), the room itself is chill and comfortable (except for one guy wearing a make America great hat, I was embarrassed for him)

The service, drinks and atmosphere of Alchemy was amazing. It's a fun date spot for a fancy cocktail but I wouldn't recommend it as a dinner spot.

Poor service unfortunately. We wanted more drinks and we waited. We probably would have had 2 more drinks. And I have eaten here a number of times and the food is less than medicore. Sorry but true. Won’t be a destination anymore.

A cozy little space with a creative use of the availble area. Walk through the book case and enter the vintage space of a Speak Easy, until you notice vinyl and wicker bar stools where all the other seating is leather and fits the astetic. The prices of the drinks are high, the quality of drinks is average. The food is less than impressive and very limited. We attended the Valentines Burlesque, it was a fun night and we were fortunate to be in the middle of the space. There were others who could only see part of the show due to the configuration of the space.

I had high hopes for Alchemy. Unfortunately the only thing I loved about it was the decor. It was hard to get comfortable on the couch where we were seated and just as awkward to eat there. If you enjoy laboring to listen and yelling to be heard, this might be the place for you. Feedback from my group was underwhelming at best. Overpriced food for portions. Service to match. Nothing was cleared from our table until our time limit was reached and they needed to clear us out for the next reservation. I will say the best part of my meal was the pear mocktail. Shrimp was delicious, but I didn't see the value for the price. I was most excited to try the grilled cheese bites... so disappointing. Overall, I'd say Alchemy is one of those places that is nice to look at, and if you want to experience it, go for it. But I doubt you'll be back again.

Absolutely one of the best places to be after any occasion. Deliciously crafted drinks followed by outstanding service. Staff and management make you feel important from the start of your evening to the end . occasion

Good ambience and atmosphere. Looks cool inside. The food portions were super small. Not a good place to go if you're hungry. More of an appetizer and cocktail place. The servers hardly ever came back to see if we needed anything or ask how we are doing. I could have had another drink but was sick of waiting.

1. Atmosphere/Ambience - I’d give it a 5, the music was good, the layout of the Alchemy is beautiful, good views, good lighting, interior looks awesome. 2. Cocktails - 4, can’t complain, we tried the Aviation, the Sticky Old Fashioned, Pink & Elder, all were amazing. 3. Food - 2.5, really mediocre food. We chose the Chef’s selection for the Charcuterie board. It didn’t look like the kitchen took the time to properly plate it. It looked rushed, and for $29.00, you could make a better one from home. A little overpriced for the portion that you get. The plate came with 3 meats, mustard seed, 4 pieces of bread, and some pickled vegetables. 4. Service - 1/5, there is A LOT of improvement in terms of service. Our server was very inattentive, considering tables are timed, she came back maybe less than 3 times to check on us. The server would talk to other coworkers BEFORE ringing in the food/drinks. Our server sat down BESIDE us to talk to the table to our left, looked behind us and just went back to their conversation. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry, I’ve seen better service in lower end cocktail lounges/restaurants/bars. This is what ruined our experience, everything was great until this. Management, please do a re-evaluation of your training for servers.
