Restaurant is part of a hotel, we sat outside in the great Coronado weather. The drinks were good and effective. The hotel is beautiful inside. The food was very good, the lobster pasta was absolutely loaded with YUGE pieces of lobster claw. The tomato soup and the Brussels were all excellent. Great food, view and overall ambiance.

Beautiful renovation of the Marriott, nside out. The food was absolutely terrible. Shocking we are in such a beautiful setting.

Good service, OK food: - The steak was questionable.. meat was chewy and the "soup" was flavorless (water w/veggies). Caesar salad was soggy yet tasteless (wet). Beautiful ambiance & views of San Diego across the bay, however would never return for the food.

Food was very fresh and exceptionally good. Atmosphere is great overlooking the bay. Servers tried hard, but this felt like an understaffed hotel restaurant so service level doesn’t really match the prices.

Too many dogs in dining area. Food was lukewarm. Too few offerings. For the buffet price for Thanksgiving meal, we were ripped off.

El restaurante está dentro del Hotel Marriot Coronado Island, es un bonito hotel con una bonita vista. El servicio es amable, sin embargo ni el Buffett ni los platillos a la carta destacan por su gran sabor, digamos que cumplen y ya. Mis hijos si disfrutaron de los wafles y la frusta fresca, sin embargo ni los cereales, ni la avena o los huevos resultaron sabrosos.

Albaca was a complete dining experience for us. We celebrated our 10th year anniversary and it was the perfect place to be. The ambience was so warmly romantic and we get to be serenaded with live Island vibe music. Service was outstanding. Food could be pricey but it was scrumptious and worth it! Wouldn’t have it any other way! 🥰 We love it so much that we ate dinner and breakfast here 😋

We had an AMAZING experience at Albaca from service to food. Oscar (I believe was his name) went above and beyond for us. For starters, we ordered 3 appetizers to which Oscar said 2 would be plenty and thank god he advised because we didn’t even finish the 2. He had recommended the brussel sprouts and cheese plate and the one other thing we wanted was the hummus plate. Oscar said he’d just add some hummus to the cheese board which he didn’t have to do! I also couldn’t decide on a wine so Oscar made a recommendation and even suggested I try it before ordering it. Lastly, he brought out a dessert - free of charge! He said it would go well with our wine. He was right LOL.

I was in a group of 6 in which half of us used the buffet and the other half ordered off the menu. All of the girls that used the buffet indicated that they would not have ordered it had they actually looked at it first because it was lacking in options for the $35/plate price tag. The menu items were very good but also pricey.

I have been here several times. Always enjoyed it. I brought three friends this time and there were very pleased with the meal and ambiance, as well as the service.

Meh. It was a one and done experience. For the price point, there are other places with equally nice ambiance and views and we tried the gamut with an appetizer, cocktails (one of which my spouse sent it back), and main plates. Limited menu consisting of essentially burger, variations of tacos, and a couple of vegetarian dishes (veggie burger and a quinoa bowl).

The atmosphere was nice outside by the pool with views. The Caesar salad was the most boring salad I have ever eaten, my husbands Turkey Club Sandwhich was good the French fries just ok. I would not go back to eat here again, lunch menu was limited and overpriced. I think there are better choices for bay views.

My son and I had Christmas dinner at Albaca. It was underwhelming. For starters, in this time of tripledemic and other guests coughing into their hands and then grabbing serving tongs, a buffet meal MUST have hand sanitizer stations readily available. This buffet did not, and I used a napkin to handle the serving tong after the sick guest had used it. GROSS. The food was not great. The swordfish was so dry, the Brussels sprouts were hard/undercooked, and the diced yam tasted terrible. The poor servers were overwhelmed. Marriott needs to hire more staff! We were practically ignored the whole time and it was not the servers' fault - there are nowhere near enough of them, even though Marriott decided to go with a buffet style service. Maybe it's better on a non-holiday. That said, we will not be coming back on a holiday. The patio is beautiful. You can't go wrong in San Diego!

Christmas Day. Not over busy. Young lady at the desk was kinda rude. We got ignored at the table until I flagged someone. Food came pretty fast, which was good. And hot. The bagel , lox & cream cheese was good. We also ordered the egg white omelet & reg breakfast. All decent. We live here, so I realize that we’re getting treated like a tourist. But we want to be able to come back there and enjoy it. Will try again some other day.

Calamari was fantastic with a decadent sauce to pair. Flatbread was overly cheesy with little prosciutto or fig jam per bite, although it was large enough to be shared by two. Would not order again. Shrimp pasta had a nice sauce, with pasta cooked al dente. Three large shrimp on top were slightly over cooked, but overall an enjoyable dish. Would order again. The ALBACA brumble was spirit forward in an off-putting way. Even letting the drink mellow over the meal didn't tame the edge. The Not Your Father's Latte was also spirit forward with no coffee or sweetness detected. I didn't try any simple cocktails but their menu cocktails left much to be desired.

Our server, whose name I can’t remember? was fantastic. She was a woman who recently returned from a trip to Ohio for her daughter’s wedding. She was wonderful!

Upscale, casual and family friendly all at the same time. Beautiful views, none of the pretentious crowd like the other end of the island, and easy to get in and out. Local favorite.

We went early at 5:00 so it was just getting busy when we left. Staff was really nice, interesting and delicious craft cocktails - twists on the traditional margarita.
