I’ve had better food in the backcountry out of a dehydrated mountain home meal. The prices don’t match the quality of food. Very expensive for subpar food. We made a reservation because the menu appeared to be of a higher quality, but were met with no crowd. There might’ve only been two other tables while we were there. The restaurant appears to be an old ihop or something similar, with a new coat of paint and cheap chandeliers. Don’t be fooled.

The chowder is the highlight and halibut bites we ordered as an appetizer were delicious. Our main course was cold & rice served with the meals my husband & I ordered was not cooked. We would go back for just the chowder!!

The food here is AMAZING! I have eaten at some other nice restaurants in Anchorage and this place tops it off. I took my Mom here for Mother's Day and everything we ordered looked and tasted great! One of the simplest things to ask for is water. My mother and I like ice-cold water. The server (Kate) made sure we got our glass of ice, lemons, and water just how we liked it. Mom likes sweet wine but didn't know which ones were sweet. Well, Ms. Kate brought out some of their sweet wines for her to taste and found a new wine that she likes. The prices are a little high but it is worth it on how good the food and service is!

Great new restaurant that opened up here in Anchorage, AK about 4 months ago. It’s classy and elegant with affordable prices. Definitely will go again.

My family loved the chowder flights! They also loved the halibut & chips. We found the noise level to be low. We were able to easily hear each other talk. Overall we had a great dining experience.

Our server was kind and wonderful. But the food was awful. I’m sorry, I’m just kind of shocked at how awful it was. My daughter got the blackened salmon salad and there were torn up pieces of cold, overcooked, under seasoned salmon scattered on a bed of white lettuce. She barely touched it. We came in from Texas where salmon is obviously not freshly caught, but we are used to it prepared and served a hundred times better than that. Why would you not freshly season and grill a beautiful piece of salmon and set it piping hot on a bed of fresh greens for the price they were charging? The ambience looks like an Applebees that hasn’t taken its antidepressants. Gray and from the 80s. They need to really step it up a couple notches here.

We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your experience at our restaurant. However, we are disheartened to learn about the issues you encountered with the food, particularly the blackened salmon salad. We don't feel this is representative of the dishes we strive to deliver. Occasional mistakes can be made, particularly in new staff and we work diligently to reduce the opportunity for any to occur that may impact our customers experience at our restaurant. We do wish that this issue was brought to our attention during your visit and we were given the opportunity to resolve it then. It is a nicely decorated space which is a great addition to the restaurant scene in Anchorage. I appreciate the focus on Alaskan seafood but the menu felt limited and the salad was lacking in flavor. Halibut was perfectly cooked and desert was good.

Seated on time. Unfortunately I decided on the soup flight…halibut chowder was thick and starchy. Soup flight is served in demi tasse cups with teaspoons too large to eat out the cup without tipping the cup…awkward to say the least. I also ordered the filet Oscar medium rare…it came completely raw (cold center) bearnaise sauce had no tarragon or shallots completely flavorless. Crab was just little flakes. The staff pushes halibut and chips…I should’ve had that.

I was concerned due to previous reviews but tried anyways. I was pleasantly surprised overall. Service was good and prompt. We had stuffed avocado for appetizers, Main Lobster roll and Seared Salmon for entrée. Lemon something cake for dessert. All food was very good. Dessert was a bit more dense than expected but still very good. Room temperature was very comfortable. I was surprised and disappointed that there was no lobster tail as an entrée.

Another wonderful meal here last night! Place is beautiful and service was excellent! Food was great and I really liked this menu! Overall, a new bright spot in the Anchorage culinary scene!

The shrimp dish was very good, as well as the wild salmon. There was a mixup in an order for a type of lobster roll, however, it was no big deal. The waiter acknowledged the mistake and offered to take back. I loved the seafood chowder, although a bit salty.

Everything I ordered was wonderful! Stuffed mushrooms, burrata bruschetta, caprese stuffed avocados, garlic paprika shrimp, and the chowder flight. The chowders were a bit salty but still good. The creme brûlée cheesecake was divine! I recommend saving room for it. I would recommend this place.

Very nice staff and clean establishment but the food is just way too expensive. $22 for Bruschetta is ridiculous. $39 for a tiny lobster grilled cheese sandwich and fries!? $28 for bland tasting shrimp over white rice and red sauce. $10 for a cheap glass of white wine. It’s all decent tasting but you can eat at Kincaid Grill for the same amount of money and it feels worth it.

1st time trying AK Chopped & Chowder- went for lunch- I'm from New England & loved the Clam Chowder, Lobster roll & Fries! Will definitely be back for Dinner Great Service too- Thankyou!

First time visiting this relatively new restaurant. Chowder flight was delicious. I will return sometime to try some other items on the menu for either lunch or dinner.

Wonderful service! We enjoyed the halibut chowder. Tasty burgers as well. Celebrated our 26th year wedding anniversary. Thank you for the complimentary desserts , we loved it! Good location! Our server was superb!

My wife and I have enjoyed our visits and meals each time we visit Chopped and Chowder. The staff is fantastic. Dawn and Charles with there team have made a special spot for us all to enjoy. I look forward to our next time.

I’ve done the lunch and dinner. The menu is more pocket friendly at lunch. But the dinner is way better. I will be back to try more things to give better insight

Friendly greeting upon arrival. Timely and pleasant service throughout our visit. Plentiful aps, tasty chowder, excellent lobster salad roll, and astoundingly delicious creme brûlée cheesecake.

Beautifully renovated, server was top notch with excellent suggestions. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was the hostess was not welcoming, which is off putting for the start of your evening. I would return back for the scallops and wagyu beef burger!

For a restaurant just starting up we had a good experience. Blunders were quickly repaired - seating and some overdone food. We enjoyed the Chowder Flight and Halibut Bites. The service was friendly and accommodating.

Wanted to love it.. didn’t. I don’t NOT like it, just won’t be one that I suggest as an option. I’ll go if I’m invited but, they have some solid kinks to work out before I’ll spend that much money on a mediocre meal again.

Seafood and steaks weren’t good. The presentation of the food was not appetizing. If you want good chowder, their chowders were definitely good, but I wouldn’t waste my money eating there again too expensive for what you get and not liking the food

It was our first time eating here and it did not disappoint. We had Lobster Rolls and NY Steak and it was all AMAZING!!! Can’t wait to come back and try some more!

We all enjoyed our lunch. Two of us ordered the chowder flight. One of my dining companions, while initially disappointed at having one of the soups unavailable, did really enjoy the three soups he chose. My burger was flavorful and had the perfect amount of toppings. Both of my dining companions had the lobster roll and enjoyed every bite.

Restaurant was clean and modern, food was outstanding and we served quickly. My wife and I had appetizers, main course and dessert and we were in and out in an hour. Prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend!

I ordered a medium rare burger and it came well done. I decided not to say anything and started eating it. My server saw it and took it back to the kitchen. Within minutes I had a perfectly cooked burger and it was delicious. They earned an A+!

We were really excited to try this place and it was very underwhelming. Dont get the bruschetta- not crispy and not soft- soggy and thick (and had a hair on the side) server recommended the lobster roll- again underwhelming. chowder flight was the best thing there compensation was half off the app with the hair manager did not come to aid in the situation overall the price was not worth it, there are so many better options in anchorage

I had a chowder flight and also the lobster rolls. Also had the bruschetta. Really good dishes, and our service was good. Not blown away, but I recommend it

The food and service were excellent. Our server was very helpful in us picking our dishes (many good ones to choose from). We met the chef and owners. Super nice!
