Always a delicious and thoughtful menu. The presentation elevates each dish. Known for their fantastic beer menu, I still appreciate all the other cocktail options. A perfect spot for brunch. And I love that well-behaved pups are welcome on the patio!

This is why we always go to Alaro when we are downtown. Mason the bartender has his server MIA, and he doesn’t skip a beat. 6 tables show in a 30 minute span including a 6 top. Mason, puts on a smile and says let’s do this. Grabs the dishwasher to help pull beers and clear tables and we all got the service we have come to know from this outstanding restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious and the beer was cold and fantastic. My hats off to Mason and his small team on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. We will be back for Cinco de Mayo brunch and michelada’s….

This is a monthly visit with one of my friends. We love to sit outside. The beer is great. The food is excellent. The service, however, is OUTSTANDING. Last night, we had Shari as our server. She was fun, friendly, made recommendations, and definitely enhanced the experience. We are looking forward to going back next month!

Everything was really nice from the moment we walked in. Drinks, appetizers, entrees and the environment. We sat inside but they also have a nice patio. All the staff were very friendly and professional. Unfortunately it was all a bit too expensive but I know it’s that way everywhere now.

The staff was awesome very positive and helpful. The food was ok but for the price not so much. I had the Lobster Gumbo and the shrimp and lobster were over cooked and rubbery, the muscles were fishy tasting. The appetizer was amazing we had the chili artichoke dip with house made tortilla chips. Salad was fresh and delicious. They have many craft brews and it’s a cool vibe. I bet just chilling with a beer and ordering off there pub menu would be amazing.

I loved the authentic Spanish flavors, especially the clams and pork cheek w/ paprika infused creamy broth (Hogs & Rocks), and the special muffaleta sandwich w/ olive tapenade. Great selection of beers and Spanish wines, and beautiful warm bread. A definite place to have in the rotation.

The atmosphere is fun, however the quality of the food and beer is not up to the prices charged. Most of the entrees we ordered were meh, not terrible but also not particularly tasty. Yet the prices were that of a finer dining establishment. The beer selections were just okay, and they were actually out of a few types of beer. All in all, it was not worth the cost, when there are many other tasty options at that price point in Sacramento.

We came with a baby in a stroller, so we really appreciated the ability to park it right at the table. We got some tapas as well as pub food and everything was delicious! Highly recommend ending with the soft serve flight if you have room.

The Tapas are quite tasty, especially the mushrooms confit and the croquettes! They are known for their craft beer, but their cocktail menu was awesome. Very tasty margaritas! Great service. Will definitely go there again!

Great pub food. Excellent beer and cocktail selection. Portions are not small - you won't go hungry here. I enjoyed the grilled cheese which was above the typical sandwich. Has a bit of a pub feel and good outdoor seating for a group or family.

The food was delicious. I enjoyed the fish and chips, My wife had the fish tacos. The cod was cooked perfectly, large pieces, and not overly battered. I am a big fan of red ipa. If you are too, you will enjoy their Balthazar Red IPA. The only critique I have is that they seemed to be somewhat disorganized when it came to seating people.

Hello Diane! Thank you so much for coming in to Alaro. I'm guilty of buying a natural cranberry juice for your cosmo!! It is too tart! Back to Ocean Spray cranberry for us. I always make everything from scratch using Organic products and it doesn't always transfer because most of our palates are used to what the masses use at their establishments. Try that cosmo again next time you come in. Not sure what happened with the mojito but again we are a less sweet bar because of the ingredients used. So glad you liked the Sangria. I call it an adult Sangria because of the quality ingredients with less sweet:) Cheers!!

Alaro will forever be a favorite for my husband, Brandon and I! Our server, Jonathon was a nice familiar face with tons of beer knowledge! After living full-time on the road and traveling the US in our motorhome for the last 12 months, we can safely say: THERE ARE NO OTHER RESTAURANTS THAT COMPARE TO ALARO!!! 10/10 every time! Thank you, Annette and Ray for hiring such a lovely and talented staff! Just can’t say enough about this place!

Alaro hadn't checked for our reservation on OpenTable. Luckily, they were able to find us a table. Aside from that, service was fine. Food is superior pub grub. Their beer is very good.
