Alara's staff were very nice and welcoming from the woman who opened the main door, to the hostess, the bartender and our server Kat. The ambiance and decor, while not formal, was sleek and "swanky"! Be sure to come hungry! We did not realize their menu focused on shareable dishes. We did share the BBQ Pork Buns which were delicious. My friend had the Caesar Salad which he said was very good. I had the Hearts of Palm salad which was a unique and tasty mix of fruit and vegetables. After the salads, we didn't have room for anything else. However, I was eyeing the Vegetarian Bolognese so I decided to take home an order of it to have the next day. It was wonderful!!

Catered to all of our needs…esp with two toddlers. Will def return for their Rack of Lamb…top 2 I’ve had in my life.

This was our 2nd visit to Alara. We are fans of Emery and Clyborne and are happy to add this into our mix of places to visit. Took our family for mother's day/birthday for husband. While it was much more quiet than it was on our last visit, it was the Monday after mother's day so to be expected. Amber was very lovely and staff was very attentive. Only complaint was leftovers were never brought to us. After paying bill I forgot to ask for the leftovers to be brought out and staff looked to be wrapping up for the evening. Not the end of the world, just feedback for future ref.

I am gluten-free, and we loved our first dinner on Mother's Day at Alara! Alara works hard to cater to people with food intolerances and allergies. No gluten goes in any of the fryers! Two of us split an app, large plate, one side, and one dessert, and my spouse got a cocktail, and dinner was only $104 w.o. tip. Very classy decor and atmosphere in the in the main room where the kitchen is, but noisier. Tables for 2 are all in the small room, which is quieter, but not as nice. Quieter was good for us, but I would like to go back in a group of 4-6, be in the main room, and share more yummy dishes! The passionfruit cloud dessert was unique and yummy. The Chicken Milanese was recommended to us by the server: It was GF-crispy, but under-seasoned and under-sauced. (Maybe because they were so busy?)

We went to Alara for Mother's Day, 2024 and had a very nice evening. The appetizers were great (carrot Hummis was shockingly awesome), the drinks were good, the Ceaser salad was fantastic, and the steaks were good (I will comment that two people ordered medium, and they came out as medium-well, but we did not complain) and I got the pork tacos, and they were amazing. Would return.

Hands down the best restaurant meal we have had in years. Service was exceptional. This was the first restaurant I've even been in that asked about food allergies and ensured we were safe.

Wonderful experience if you immerse your table in the shared dining experience. After going to Emery and SWClybourne, I was expecting a higher end same experience. Pleasantly not so, the shared idea with all the courses, the timing to enjoy it (they ask if you want to hurry or take the time per course) with so much Celiac/gluten friendly was amazing. You can start with a bunch of fun craft cocktails, several coming out with what looked like frozen with liquid nitrogen and brought out in a glass container to release the vapor. Fun. A few highlights of our courses - the lobster/shrimp appetizer was perfectly textured and freshest of fresh, the korean wagyu corn dogs are not to be missed (and GF patent pending), the caesar salad was more than our 4 could finish with fun parmesan croutons. Didn't love the vegetarian bolognese, the pasta just was too mushy/meaty but at the same time we had scallops that were to die for. Capped it off pork shank tacos that were so tender and flavorful with a make your own so all the sides could be done by each person's taste. Cleansed the palate at the end with the raspberry sorbet and the orange creamsicle desserts. Would get them again - sorbet very flavorful but needs a crunch, creamsicle so cloudy but needs a a slight more punch of flavor. Loved it. Recommend.

We ate here for Mother's Day lunch. Overall it was a great experience. Noshed on: Smoked Carrot Hummus- worth coming back for-excellent Tuna Crudo- bright and delicious Thai Shrimp- good Palm Salad- excellent flavors Chicken Milanese- really good; ours was a tad too salty but still good. Pork Shank Taco's- worth coming back for- excellent Broccoli & Cheese- so, so-cheese sauce was too runny for us.

Food was delicious Service was terrible - took 30 minutes to get our drinks Server took our food to box up and never brought to us and waited forever so we paid bill and left 3 hours for dinner Waitress was so soft spoken we could not hear her at all
