Everything was amazing. The Lobster pea carbonara was to die for. Service was outstanding. Manager Kelly was super friendly and accommodating. Definitely will be back!

Cocktails were honestly to die for, we loved the smoked pear the espresso martini was one of the best I’ve ever had the Lemon meringue martini was our favorite! Our Server Amber was so great and informative, we started with the wagyu tartare and the hot dog great starters! We got both the chopped and Caesar salad the Caesar was so light and delicious one of our favorite dishes of the night!! Then we had the 8 oz filet, lobster carbonara, lobster gnocchi, pot roast agnolotti pasta, the pot roast pasta was so unique and had so many layers of flavors. The lobster gnocchi was the table favorite but I thought the carbonara was beautifully executed. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium and the sauce sides is an amazing touch. our favorite was the truffle butter.

My wife and I had a world-class meal at this beautifully appointed restaurant. The staff was attentive and the executive chef went beyond the call of duty to regale us with his sumptuous cuisine. I can’t wait to return with guests from out of town to show off Cincinnati’s top notch food scene. Well done!

New restaurant so always need to get some kinks out. To be fair they are trying to get there. Was it good? Yes. Was it worth the cost? No. I’m happy to pay for high quality and it’s not there yet. Steak was over temped (med plus versus med rare), fish tacos presentation was supposed to be innovative but looked more like fish sticks, maybe add a vinegar slaw as a topping with it, carrot app was great, dessert was great, service was good but average. Like I said they are trying but need to push it up a notch to create an “experience”.

Food was creative American and delicious. Atmosphere was great. Didn’t love the cocktail list, but great wine and liquor selection. Decor is modern. Took a bit to get our bottle of wine and a little too much time in-between courses, but probably still figuring it out. Will definitely go back.

The service provided is truly exceptional, and the cuisine is exquisite in both presentation and flavor. We arrived as a party of 3 yet they tried to seat us at a round table for 6 (ugh). We asked to be seated at a table more appropriate. Service was slow to arrive but she she took drink orders when she came.The drinks took at least 5-6 min to arrive. Husband & son enjoyed their cocktails. My passion fruit mocktail was sweet but yummy. Server was wholly unfamiliar w/ menu. She had to keep running back to kitchen to ask abt GF items which is their specialty. We said we were all GF when asked by server. She recommended the carrot hummus & the manager recommended the tuna crudo. The manager recognized us from another of their restaurants & assured everything would be GF! They took 15-20 min to arrive…way too long as both cold apps. The carrot hummus was brought w/non-gf bread even after telling them we were GF! We had to wait 10 min for the flat chippy tortilla-like substitute even tho she said it’s served GF bread. We almost ate the bread they brought but luckily our son noticed something that tipped him off that it wasn’t GF! The tuna itself was good but the sauce was too citrus-y. It took away from the flavor of tuna.The carrot hummus was good but would have been better with bread. Son had filet & was good but his asparagus side had burnt garlic on top which destroyed any flavor of the dish. Husband had thai shrimp pasta which had very bitter peanut sauce & was not flavorful. The shrimp on top were plentiful and tasty. I ordered the HOP salad which was mostly julienned peppers and carrots and discs of heart of palm. It was refreshing but not spectacular. My dinner was the side of gnocchi with lobster. The cheddar cheese sauce was incredibly salty and detracted from the overall dish. The GF gnocchi were light and the lobster was acceptable. All in all ambience was nice, menu was underwhelming, food was mostly mediocre, and service was very undertrained. Too expensive w/lots of issues. I would definitely wait til the kinks are worked out of this one before returning

Nice restaurant but… took more than 20 minutes to get our first drink.. seem to not being able to handle speed in general because our food was also very late.. ordered the wagyu flight and came rare instead of medium rare as they said.. best accompaniment was the gnocchi with white truffle.. dessert is good… i hope this place works on their timing as it can make a big difference..

Our third visit since they opened just a short time ago and once again a wonderful experience. This for US is a true dining experience-no “ rush through dinner and get out”. If you are looking for a 30 minute start to finish, I highly suggest going elsewhere! THIS is DINING! Enjoy a cocktail, then a well paced dinner. We would normally order each course all together but were dining with elderly parents who weren’t sure what they wanted. This trip we tried the Korean corn dogs( yummy) and the shrimp and lobster “ cocktail “- it was lacking in quantity of lobster for the price was our only complaint. We had to get the Caesar salad which is a MUST and it served 4 adults easily! The lamb chops were prepared to PERFECTION and we tried the mashed potatoes which had a perfect amount of potato texture, not mushy at all. I couldn’t resist the scallops AGAIN and they were so delicious and LARGE so I was able to share. Absolutely loved our visit and can’t wait to come back and commit to trying different dishes next time! Well worth the price for US for a date night, special occasion. But can also make this a cost effective experience easily by sharing-see you all very soon

Service was excellent (Maddox was our main server), the restaurant, kitchen and bathrooms were all spotless. The food was fantastic. We ordered scallops, filet, fish tacos and lamb. All were cooked perfectly. Every detail was paid attention to. We will be back.

We loved our first visit to Alara! Upon entering, we were surprised by the size of the restaurant. Most of the décor was neutral but warm and inviting. The only ambiance "issue" we had was that the music was rather loud, and we always prefer instrumental music when dining unless viewing a show. Our server, Maddox, helped us navigate the menu and shared some personal favorites. We decided to split everything (except dessert!). We started with the carrot hummus. It was very good, and the bread was the perfect accompaniment. I was worried that a carrot hummus would be too sweet, but it was wonderful and I especially enjoyed the peppers and the crispy chickpeas inside it. It was a nice-sized appetizer for 2 people, and did not overfill us. Next, we split the hearts of palm salad. This was a refreshing mix of matchstick veggies in a light dressing that was crunchy and fresh. We were feeling quite virtuous enough to order the pork shank tacos for our entree. The pork was outstanding, so flavorful, tender, and juicy. Every bit was loaded with flavor when adding the salsa and other toppings on the delicious and soft corn tortillas. This entrée could definitely feed 3 or 4 people (especially when enjoying other courses), so we took almost half of it home. We both enjoyed drinks with our food; the cocktails were very interesting, and I especially liked the "life is a peach and then you rye". I also enjoyed the list of wines by the glass. Finally, we got 2 desserts to try and take the rest home. Little did we know that the desserts are also designed for more than one, both of them coming with 2 of each! We split one of each and took the others home. Both the strawberry and the creamsicle desserts were beautiful and delicious; I was partial to the strawberry one and my husband preferred the creamsicle. The service was very attentive, and we were checked on by more than just our server. Overall, an outstanding experience!!

Great place to take several people since all dishes are meant to be shared. We enjoyed the lamb chops, H.O.P Cakes and lobster / pea carbonara. The desserts are pieces of art. Will be recommending to friends!

Beautiful venue and great service …not sure why the hype is so high …the food did not meet expectations …. Hearts of palm salad was ok, the lamb lacked some presentation, glazed carrots were barely tender and tasteless …and don’t bother ordering the profiteroles…so dry ….wanted to love this place…will go to Mita’s instead

The food was fabulous and loved all of the gluten free options as our group had someone w celiac. We really enjoyed the fact that the food is portioned to share which was perfect for our group of 4 and we were able to try out several different things off the menu. Everything was great but some of our favorites were the seafood tower, wagyu sampler and my favorite the scallops.

It’s elegant and stunning inside without feeling stuffy or pretentious. The service was outstanding, from my server, Taylor, to the host and everyone else working there. They seemed truly excited to be there and to share the experience. I started with the passion fruit spritz mocktail. Light and refreshing with popping boba as an extra touch. The smoked carrot hummus was served under a smoke-filled glass dome with perfect sourdough to accompany it. A little sweet, a little spicy, with a nice crunch from the chickpeas, it was unique and flavorful. As I was dining solo and couldn’t resist eating all of the bread, I passed over a main entree and went straight for dessert. The creamsicle cloud dessert is light pillowy perfection with a tart passion fruit curd surrounded by orange and vanilla mousse and covered with a beautiful sky blue glaze. I can’t wait to go back and try some of their other dishes.

What a lovely dining spot! Alara didn't disappoint. From the stellar service to the unique cocktails and deliciously diverse menu, you will want to come back again. We started with the H.O.P. cakes, which were a vegan rendition of a classic crab cake, then we shared the salmon with a side of lobster gnocchi. We can't wait to come back for happy hour because the bar and lounge have a beautiful and inviting aesthetic.

I am new to the gluten allergy world (NCGS) but I am so blown away by my experience at Alara. They were extremely cognizant of my food sensitivities and made sure there was no opportunity for cross-contamination. We had the steak tartare, carrot hummus, lobster gnocchi with truffle, scallops, and the pork shank tacos. Truly everything from the food to the cocktails was stunning. I highly recommend it and we will be checking out their other restaurants.

And awesome experience and very wonderful place to dine. The staff was the upmost, energetic and so kind to all customers. Will definitely visit again as the food was just very delicious and some of the best I’ve had.

The bar service was very slow. It took us long time for the second round. My friend ordered a martini which by any standard was half full. The martini glasses I thought were standard size. You had to order double to have it filled to the top. They said theglasses were oversized. 😳

This was our first experience and we will definitely return. Savannah was wonderfully attentive and made great suggestions. We loved the carrot hummus and pork tacos! The staff was incredibly welcoming and hospitable.

Alara is Cincinnati fine dining. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The atmosphere is chic and modern. I ordered the lobster gnocchi and the rack of pork. The gnocchi was perfectly pillowy paired with an amazing cream sauce and good chunks of lobster. The rack of pork was wonderfully seasoned with an excellent crust and paired with a delicious galician sauce - I mopped it all up. Overall fantastic food. This is a restaurant experience in Cincinnati to seek out.
