Our island is full of stories, none more inviting than the one told by the dish in front of you. Known for its modern take on Hawaiian comfort fare, Alaia embraces the community through its support of nearby Mauka Farms, telling their story through every plate, bite, and sip. Using unique, native produce such as apple bananas, Moloka'i sweet potatoes and tomatoes from Pele, a third generation farmer, our culinary team works in tune with the seasons. At Alaia we reap the bounty from the mauka to the makai, working with hand-selected fruits and vegetables from our farm to your table. We let the quality and simplicity of the ingredients speak for themselves. And we love what they have to say.

Food was excellent. Our server was kind and attentive to the children. The Mahi was perfectly cooked. The Lobster Curry was fire!!! Highly recommended.

Let’s be real…delicious food, steak cooked to perfection but $80!!?? When in Rome right?The service is impeccable and our server made our celebratory dinner very memorable. Definitely one restaurant you should check out when visiting the North Shore.

Breakfast here had very slow service. 3 items missing from order. Breakfast arrived cold and overcooked. Reached out to property, no response. Bummer.

Food was exceptional. Support staff (host/server assistant) was great. Server repeatedly told us that the fresh catch of the night had “only one left!” (We had a later res) but then told that same story to 2 other tables AFTER we had ordered the “last one”. Server also forgot the salad we ordered but it worked out ok since the whole “last fish” was enough food.

Don’t book the available 845pm reservation for 4 people. You will be rushed throughout your meal. We showed up right on time and were seated around 5 minutes after. Upon introduction, the waitress mentioned that the kitchen “closes in 10 minutes”. Luckily we already knew what we wanted so we placed our orders. Bread was delivered shortly after and the food runner said “sorry we only have the burnt pieces left” and gave us what seemed to be the overcooked burnt ends of multiple loafs. Food and wine showed up around 20 minutes later. My pork chop was well over cooked. Needed a sip of liquid after every bite. Mid way through entree (mind you, sometimes between 915 and 930), the waitress stops by to tell us “the pantry would like to know if you are planning to have dessert, they are closing in 5 minutes”. By 940, desserts were on the table, shortly followed by the check. We left around 950. We barely finished our first glass of wine and spent ~$350 for a subpar 1hr dinner. We all debated talking to management the following day to ensure they knew this was probably happening every night. As my group and I are relatively young, we felt that we were treated as 2nd class guests. If the staff need to leave so expeditiously, they shouldn’t give out 845 reservations

Good food, poor service. Waited about 5 minutes to be greeted at host stand, took about 15 minutes after being seated to get water, another 10 to get bread. The server assistant was considerably better than our actual server. She took care of us very well. Our actual server was horrible. Food was good, but prices were insane.
