Agua Viva is one of the flagship restaurants in Chef José Andrés’s collection at Conrad Los Angeles. At this chic rooftop restaurant, Chef Andrés effortlessly weaves vibrant Asian flavors with Latin American influences, all while paying homage to his home country of Spain.

Our menu features diverse global flavors that reflect the true melting pot of LA. Designed to be shared, our dishes are as eye-catching as they are vibrant, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. As you decompress in our breezy dining room, enjoy sparkling platters of oysters; a bright, refreshing Young Coconut Ceviche studded with avocado and mango; Chef Andrés’s iconic Txule Burger, made with dry-aged ribeye; and whole fried sea bream, with fresh herbs and mojo verde.

Located within Conrad Los Angeles, a part of the stunning Frank Gehry-designed The Grand LA, Agua Viva features a promenade, bar area, and upper and lower dining rooms with terrace views of the mountains.

The menu selections were fine however, the burger and salad though delicious wasn't an appealing presentation and seemed small for the price. Though we understand high food costs, it seemed a bit much for the portion.

Food was good, space was beautiful, server Carrie was top-flight, but it's all outside, and it was so, so cold. Consult the weather report before you go. The heaters they provide were no match for the wind chill, and though they offered us blankets, they then said "sorry, we're actually out." Not really sure I'd choose this place again.

Excellent experience with a panoramic view of downtown, attentive service, and wonderful food. Cocktails were perfect as well. Chill vibes, perfect for romantic or celebration meal.

My fiancé and I flew from NY to watch the Braves take on the Dodgers and we stayed at the Conrad Los Angeles. Agua Viva is located inside the hotel so we had easy access. The service, drinks and food were all great. The service in particular was excellent. It was a nippy LA night and the staff offered my fiancé a blanket and heater. Will def be staying at the Conrad and visiting Agua Viva again. Did I mention Michelin-starred chef José Andrés owns the restaurant? Not too bad.

It was a bit chilly at our outdoor table when we first arrived (not enough patio heaters), but they gladly reseated us and we were much more comfortable. Great food and ambience and the wait staff was excellent.

This was probably the most disappointing experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. They made a mistake with our bill twice. We told them that we had theater tickets and we gave more than enough time. However, we wound up having to rush because we had to re-enter our credit cards and void the mistakes that the server made, in addition, we thought the food was just mediocre. Don’t order the lobster roll if you choose to go here because you literally had to use a pair of tweezers to find lobster meat. There are many other restaurants to choose from in this area I would go almost anywhere else but here.

The best charred octopus in LA! Great for a work lunch (expense account) or date. Unique cocktails. The pina borracha (drunk pineapple) is the perfect dessert to finish off the meal - it’s always a hit, especially with people who “don’t do dessert”. Everything is served beautifully and most can be shared plates.

The ambiance is gorgeous, the food is delicious, but most importantly, the service was outstanding. We had Marisa and she was AMAZING. Very kind, patient, and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Service was absolutely terrible. Food served before cocktails. No water was brought after repeated requests. We drank our bottle of wine after the meal it arrived so late. Unacceptable for such a pricey restaurant. Do better Jose.

Disappointed. We ordered Hamachi, Gazpacho, a hamburger to share and desert. They served all 3,dishes at the same time without asking. Did not bring glasses of wine until we were halfway through the meal. Hamachi was just ok, too thick in my opinion. Gazpacho was good—the best dish. The hamburger was mediocre at best. Overcooked and very dry. Only offered American cheese (is that a cheese?). Desserts, including a bizarre large and dry profiterole were not to be ordered again. I would hope Jose Andres would do better. We loved Bizarre, and greatly admire his service to feed those in need worldwide.

Wonderful service and the food was very good. I found things on the pricier side, but that might just be me. Outdoor dining is unpredictable of course, but the heaters were great. The placement of the heaters, however, seemed a bit random and appeared to cause tension about who was getting heater attention.

There is no seating indoors and the they have limited heating capability table side. Probably just fine in the summer, but the other three seasons means you're going to be very chilly so dress appropriatly. They have blankets for you, I guess that cheaper than outfitting the dining areas with appropraite heating. The service was okay, very rarely did service come by to check on us, or make sure we had water and such. The sell the menu like a tapas restaurant, so small plate dining and the menu is very limited so you're not really getting a lot of choice when trying to dine tapas style. The dishes are very expensive given the portion sizes! I won't be going back or recommending Agua Viva.

Great spot for a pre theatre dinner. The food was good although the lobster roll could have had more lobster in it for the price. The service was outstanding. Will come back.

The whole fried fish was really good. Dessert was delicious (it was like a large cream puff). Service was impeccable. Lovely ambiance.

First time visit and enjoyed it for the most part. We had reservations but when we arrived we asked for a chair along an area with views of DTLA. Hostess said she would try to move us but never did. Food was excellent but pineapple dessert was disappointing. Just slices of pineapple soaked in alcohol. It was underwhelming. Coed restrooms were a bit of a shock. I guess that’s the thing now but unsettling as a male to walk in and find a female watching me standing at the sink. I’ll probably return but warn guests about the restrooms and not being able to get a table with a view.

Love this outdoor restaurant. Nice vibe. Great food and service. Our server Agustin was nice and always check on us to make sure everything is good. He knows the menu and gives us recommendations. Food presentation is wonderful.

Conrad was very thoughtful in putting guests into San Laurel for our planned lunch at Agua Viva given expected rain storm. We truly enjoyed San Laurel’s decor and ambience. Dishes weee beautifully presented and tasted so delicious. Two thumbs up

Very cool space, but Service was so slow. I had to ask for drink refills and for the bill. Our waitress seemed more interested in chatting with colleagues versus taking care of her customers.

Great food. Great setting. We booked for a dinner before a show at the music center. However, even with a reservation it took 15 minutes to be seated leaving us pressured. Service was courteous but very slow. If you order the "build your own handrolls", be sure to ask for extra nori. There just isn't enough served with the otherwise nice appetizer. Bill for 3 drinks, and 3 appetizers was $180. Not a great value even with the impressive view and location.

I showed up for my reservation and the restaurant was closed but no one told me. We ended up eating at one of the other hotel restaurants but it was quite pricey.

The experience was delightful. We were even offered blankets o make sure we were comfortable while sitting outside. The views were beautiful. The food was delicious and the waiter did a great job of giving suggestions. The Gin and Tonic was absolutely delicious.

We come here often before Music Center events. For brunch today we shared avocado toast, endive and pear salad and deviled eggs with jamon. The portions were ample and the quality and flavor of the dishes were exceptional. Cocktails were just OK. Coffee after was also just OK. The outdoor seating on the extensive deck was perfect on a mild sunny day. Serving staff was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.Prices are what you’d expect at a Conrad hotel. Given the meager options for dining around the Music Center, this is definitely the place to go.
