We had a table of 7 and each dish was wonderful. I had the lamb shank with polenta which was fall off the bone tender. The caprese salad was fresh and light. The service was fast at times and very slow at others. The food came out quickly. Restaurant was buzzing and moderately loud. Highly recommend.

Amazing food, service and I loved the music. The vibe is festive. The food is to die for. I have never tasted such amazing swordfish. The dipping sauce is delicious!!!

First, the food is spectacular, perhaps now the best Italian in Berkeley (with the recent closure of Berkeley’s iconic Oliveto several years ago). After tasting the food, I had to question why there have been so many 1- and 2-star reviews on Yelp and other sites. My guests and I agreed that the only explanation lies in the seating and service. The table service itself was wonderful. The servers themselves were very thoughtful and accommodating. The poor service rating is due to the lack of a host, which Leo our party and others waiting at the front of the restaurant for quite a bit of time. In addition, despite the fact that we had reservations indoors, we were seated outside where it was somewhat chilly. We had to wait in the cold a good 15-20 minutes before someone came to turn on the outdoor heater. Aside from the seating issues, the service was quite good and the food exceptional.

Cute indoor space. Plenty of outdoor as well, mainly on the street with buses whizzing by. Food and wine was fine. Not memorable. I’ve had more refined Italian at these prices so value wise it was a bit disappointing.
