A longstanding tradition at Hotel Vancouver, Notch8 is delighted to welcome guests for Afternoon Tea service from Wednesday through Sunday!

If your tiny tot is joining, we offer a Children's Tea featuring kid-friendly finger sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats. Afternoon Tea is served from Wednesday through Sunday only.

We are pleased to offer options catering to guests with specific dietary restrictions such as gluten-free, as well as dietary preferences including vegetarian diets. Please notify us at time of booking and we will be delighted to facilitate.

There is a 90 minute time limit for each reservation, if you have any questions or concerns prior to your visit please let us know.

Embark on a culinary journey inspired by Emily Carr with an enchanting Themed Afternoon Tea served in the tea salon at Notch8. Each menu item is carefully crafted to reflect Carr's vibrant spirit through a culinary journey of British Columbia, alongside a cocktail menu that highlights some of Carr’s signatures works through a collection of libations that draw from inspiration of her artistic style and visual composition. Seatings at 11am, 1pm, 3pm - 90-minute seating. $74 per adult, $40 per child aged 12 and under - price not inclusive of taxes and gratuities. Cancellation policy & reservation changes: kindly email HVC.Notch8@Fairmont.com a minimum of 72 hours prior to reservation to avoid a cancellation fee of $25 per person.

Such a fun experience and so creative with partnering with Art Museum and using Emily Carr art as the inspiration. Food was wonderful and they even provided a bag for items I was to full to consume. Lavender Earl was incredible tea.

The Emily Carr themed afternoon tea was great. The room reflected her view of our mountains and forests and was very comfortable. The hotel obviously went to great lengths to achieve this. The food was delicious and plentiful with a great selection of tea to choose from. My friend and I enjoyed it all and we were stuffed. Very pleasant staff and good food made this a totally enjoyable experience.

The tea , pastries were good but the sandwiches were very disappointing. The pork was sliced too thick , the egg sandwiches were tasteless ,and we were expecting some cucumber additions . We were anticipating this experience but won’t do it again .

Good gluten free tea option for my husband. He enjoyed it plus happy he got to choose coffee as an option. Says he’ll be back again, maybe w our toddler even. Love the theme! Looking forward to the Emily Carr theme next.

The 90-minute time limit felt too short for a leisurely and expensive high tea. Additionally, the food was just fair in quality, and the presentation lacked the elegance one would expect from Fairmont.

The tea room looked absolutely wonderful with the Cherry Blossom. The food was out of the world and service was outstanding. I am so glad that I was able to enjoy this once a year celebration before flying home to San Francisco. This definitely made up my Mother's Day celebration which I missed because I was traveling.
